HH, Havertz certainly hasn’t looked a 70m player for 90% of the season as you say. He was not fit for months due to covid and combined with first season in toughest league in world playing for a manager that didn’t know how to get best out if his team and so was constantly changing positions, it was always going to be difficult for him to arrive at peak form.
He did improve a hell of a lot as fitness improved and did end up as the winning goal scorer in the biggest game there is for a European club.
You may not see the point in him after this season, but hopefully he will be playing against pool for years to come and so you will have every chance of appreciating him in the future 🙂 70m will look a bargain soon enough imo mate

Wales were awful yesterday btw, you can’t select a team based on hostoric performances you have to pick on form and we were completely dominated yesterday.

So sad if he has to retire. Quality player scored some great goals especially one I remember at bridge few years back was an amazing strike. At least he goes out a champion as his talent deserved.

Well I have seen wales live far more than chelsea Sean mate, but I would have to say my love for chelsea far outweighs my love for the Welsh national team because its true and no point pretending otherwise.
I was at pretty much every wales home game when Hughes was manager and we came so close to qualifying for world Cup. There when we beat Italy 2.1 that was an amazing night. Truth is though the standard of the Welsh team was absolutely awful as far back as I can remember and while you will always support your nation you can’t love dog poop no matter how much you love the dog. It was better than for decades previous under Hughes and the standards went up even more with the late Gary Speed effectively setting everything in the right direction.
This is only the 2nd major tournament I have seen my country play in!
