We needed one of emerson or alonso to go nine and I’m happy inter refused alonso in swap for lukaku as if we are to persist with wing backs alonso is by far the better option and to be honest I have a lot of affection for alonso. He has won a lot with us know, he gets stick but let’s face it his bad performances have predominantly been in a back 4. He is a fantastic offensive weapon in our current set up.

Nice to get the trophy nine, performance wasn’t great but will take it. It was the ultimate pre season game shame its so close to opening league game though,
