Yeah YB, we have 3 super options for the 2 midfield positions. Ideally 4 but getting a quality midfielder happy to be 4th choice to start with is tough.

With the defenders I do think kounde would be a big plus because whenever James can’t play (like next few games because of suspension) tuchels preferred alternative at wing back is azpi which would take him out of back 3.

I see christensen and silva holding down the central spot between them, rudiger left and azpi right. That leaves just chalobah as cover for the outside centre backs if rudi injured or if azpi has to play wing back. Christensen could play either side too and he is an important player for us but rather him be our central guy.

To be honest I think we could do with both a defender and extra mid coming in and that’s why the club is trying but I am very happy with the squad we have should one or both not be possible.

Nah its all different now pagan mate. When you had to pay top dollar to own a record you wouldn’t get much and would love what you had, you would also look for similar when spending on new music as nobody likes buying something they don’t like. I think that, and the social/ fashion aspect of growing up, created a tribalism which doesn’t exist as much now.

Youngsters these days mate have quite eclectic tastes. Their playlists will range from Dylan and stones to kanye West and Billie Eye lash 🙂 the unprecedented access to music allows people to try all genres whenever they want and its happened to me since I got on Spotify. I am listening to all sorts of music I never would have listened too before.

I do like the old way of the young creating culture counter to their parents and ultimately that’s what drove the evolution of music. But can’t create a counter culture anymore because there is no definitive culture to counter.

The problem with callum though is if he stays I can only see him maybe playing now and again as wing back against weaker teams. In terms of forward positions supporting romelu I would have havertz, mount, pulisic, ziyech and even werner ahead of him so that’s 5 players ahead of him for 2 spots so unless one of those 5 go I think we have let callum go on loan an play

Look at utd side and see Fred next to pogba and it’s so obvious that holding midfield now needs to be priority. I mean rice is talked about but any top dm like ndidi or that south American guy barrios and its arguably best starting XI in league.

Its been slower than utd fans would hope but when you look at it the recruitment since ole been at the wheel has been pretty good and they close to a perfectly balanced team.

No Harry I think it’s possible my team coukd end up being best but if we don’t win title its because we are not the best. I don’t necessarily think that if we are at our best we will win either because city or pools best could end up being better. That’s completely different to what you were saying, which seems to be if pool are at their best they win by default and if they don’t win its because they weren’t at their best.
