The end of the day no chelsea fan is deluded enough to think our position amongst elite is not down to Romans investment and considerable subsidisation in first 10 years of ownership. Given utds dominance on and off the field it was always going to take such investment for there to be competition in this league.
But if the ultimate goal is to create a club that can continue to compete at this level without subsidy, and that goal is then followed through like it has been at Chelsea for last 10 years, the only people who could possibly have a problem are fans of the clubs we have left behind. It’s nothing to do with right or wrong and everything to do with jealousy.

Also heard on sky that real offered over 220m euros for mbappe but have walked away as PSG have failed to respond. Mbapoe will now sign a pre contract with real in January and transfer for free next summer. I know they are rich but even so. I can not believe PSG haven’t taken that.

Well they can agree deal in January but mbappe of course wouldn’t be registered until next season nine. It does seem silly to pay 170 now when you know the player will defo sign on free the next season but if psg turn down 170m for sake of year and real willing to offer pay that for sake of the year then there is certainly huge value there at least for the clubs involved.
