Hi young blue mate, hope you good, great season so far!

Just popping on to check on old chum banjo in these difficult times 😆

Delighted with our progress. Almost certain we won’t challenge for the title but we can get 80+ points maybe. As always, defence wins titles. We have 6 more goals than pool, but are 4 points behind playing one more game than them, and their goal difference is still better. As long as VVD is fit and salah is breathing, this title is pools in my opinion. They are the clear best team so far, I think chelsea clearly second best team so far also though and that’s a little hard to believe.

Arsenal are the most boring team ever this season!

Ha ha! Hope you are well bud.

Unlucky today. Everything against you today bud genuinely, the pressure, your centre backs not fully fit, our extra day between midweek game, not to mention the fact we can and did rotate heavily. Also caicedo would have got sent off 9/10 times and while I do think it wasn’t a dangerous challenge because its a follow through and kicking upwards rather than a stamp or straight studs down in to shin, I think we would both expect our player sent off seeing that on replay. Thought Kulusewski elbow was bit naughty too.

Great game again, neutrals always get entertainment when chelsea play spurs. Never let super Sunday down.

I was watching my chelsea mash your spuds long before Roman Banjo! Winning more trophies too.

Some things never change mate. It is the history of the Tottenham. 😆

Slim pickings all around it seems Ed. Bayern appointing Kompany is very strange as well.

I think Caicedo been very good since Enzo been out of side too. I think the problem with caicedo is purely the price. He actually going to be good for us I think

Yes Torres and Sheva both Abramovich driven purchases, not just financially, but he insisted on purchasing both.

I actually think Torres, despite not being anywhere near the player he was at pool before all the injuries, was a real pro at Chelsea in hindsight. He couldn’t do what he could before, but really tried. He did play important part in both a europa league and champs league win. I wouldnt put him in the worst tier to be honest.

Nice to see you all lads.

Threeps yeah it’s only one data point, as is any statistic. Never going to tell the whole story. But this particular stat re Enzo is very telling in my opinion, as someone who for 18 months has been adamant we are way better when Enzo doesn’t play. That’s obviously not how you want to feel about someone who is the poster boy of new owners and cost so much. I think the data is significant enough to demonstrate this.

Hi Ed, certainly recency bias at play, but that also added to by the way fees have inflated over last 10 years. Going by just normal inflation. Alan shearers 15m fee to Newcastle in 96 would only be 30m in today’s money, but we all know full well a prime shearer would cost well in excess of 100m in today’s market.

As bad as players like bogarde and Drinkwater were for example, the money some of the players cost these days means some of the most recent signings are always going to seem worse.

P.s totally agree re pogba, never the player you wanted him to be on consistent basis, and so and waste of money in that sense, but it’s not like he was terrible, far from it.

Yes Antony was a bad one too Sean, maybe not as bad as some others, but yes cant argue he not one of the worst.

Just checked him on that website.

Utd win 48% of games he played in, and 68% when he doesn’t, last two seasons prem games only.

Check this website, great for getting footie data that would be a nightmare to work out from scratch, just ask it questions

                            https://www.statmuse.com/

                            Compare these stats

While Lampard was at Chelsea, we Won 63% of games when he played. The games he didnt play, we only won 49%.

Compare that to Clearlakes poster boy, we Win 30% with, 50% without!

Chelsea and Utd battling it out to secure signature of a manager who has just been promoted from championship? I know it was back to back promotions, but either there is something really special about him, or utd and chelsea have nothing special about them! 🤣

Hi banjo, God knows who is next, dont think the owners even know!

To a certain extent, who our new coach will be is arbitrary.

All I am scared of is seeing the team destroyed over summer.

I think we missed big opportunity this year for top 4 with no European football and it took poch far too long to get any sort of system in place.

Focus needs to be on the squad and really scared we will lose too many important players. Silva especially, and Connor Gallagher who I can’t believe we are to sell.

I would have preferred continuity and would have given poch next year no doubt. But would you want to be chelsea manager with less than 12 months on contract and no say on transfers? Seems to me poch wanted some assurances and extension to stay, and our owners decided parting ways was best. But maybe poch just said to hell with it and had zero intent on staying also. I think he has had eyes on another job for a few weeks. On the morning of May 1st, he would have had no doubt he was getting sacked at end of season. 5 wins in a row since then probably caught him and the board by surprise!

It’s worrying but I wont cry over Poch, it’s the continuity we could have done with.

Well hello you sexy buggers. I hope you are all well 👍

Thought it may be worth returning to this one, now that our 12 month trial period with Poch has ended 😉

As of 1st May, Pochettino had won just 13 of his 33 prem games. A terrible win percentage of 39%.
As of 19th May, he had won 18 of his total 38 games, with the win percentage climbing significantly to 47%
Ultimately neither figure is good, and we are lucky to have finished 6th.

I am still to determine what the big deal is 😆
