I said it was make or break for Ole when they got the boy Sancho. With Ronaldo the expectation goes through the roof. You saw that yesterday. Belief is great force in football, and for the first time since SAF i’m worried about man utd. Ronaldo will raise everyones game imo, but there will be games where they arent having it all their own way, and this will be where Ole earns his crust. I think we are for sure heading for the slimmest winning margin in recent seasons, and it may well be the head to heads that decide it. Like Sean I don’t see the Pool having quite enough to get the job done, but I would love to just ruin UTDs party if we can’t. ABU 🤣

Feels like parents going through a messy divorce fighting over the kids doesn’t it. Not sure what the Brazil FA get out of triggering the rule, seems like its the players who lose out. cant play for their country and now told they cant play for their clubs.

Highly doubt Salah would demand 500k pw, but I could see him and his agent making a case for him being worth that and try to negotiate a higher salary on that basis accepting Liverpool can’t afford the full 500k.

I for one am happy Chelsea are taking their seat back at the big table. The competition in the league is immense, long may it continue as long as Liverpool remain in the mix.

Lucky I’m going to try and clear the air as I clearly haven’t explained myself very well.

I made a hyperbolic point about if liverpool play their best they should win, keep clean sheets and score a few goals. That does not mean it is my expectation every single game, or that things are “conspiring against us” if it doesn’t happen, you are putting words in my mouth at this point.

I suggest you celebrate your well earned point that proves chelsea are better than liverpool, but stay grounded in the knowledge that one other team might beat you to the title, but it certainly won’t be liverpool.

Agreed and to be clear, Im not making a case for saying Liverpool are the better team, though I stand by the winning at home comment. Chelsea are a real beast this season but I think if you’re writing liverpool off after yesterdays game, you might be in for a rude awakening. Key word being “might”, don’t quote me on it.

Bit of a stretch to say either team is better than the other based on yesterdays game. It was just 1 game in a long season. Also if it had been liverpool at their best, it would have been a clean sheet and a 3 goal margin or greater in their favour. Credit goes to chelsea for not letting us play our best.

I do agree with Mak however that the first half really wasn’t as one sided as some are making out, certainly nowhere near enough to say Chelsea should have been 2 up at the break. I mean 1-2 at best surely, given the hand ball on the goal line.

Try not to be too down Nil. I would say Liverpool still have the best starting xi in the league. All the other teams spending all this money and bringing back legends and they’re still not as good.

I actually thought the same of Hansen and Lawrenson on the MOTD. Souness’ days are numbered. Neville needs to be careful though, if Man Utd don’t win another title in the next 10 years or so, he will end up in the same bitter and twisted corner.
