This season Ed? Liverpool, multiple times.

Ah it’s real simple Sean. Man Utd have had to stand by and watch clubs like Man City, PSG and Newcastle become heavily backed with seemingly infinite funds, which is completely unfair on them, and them alone.
As FFP isn’t doing it’s job of preserving their status as the world’s biggest club, they need to supplant them with even richer owners. Any possible links to violations of human rights are simply insignificant compared to the importance of restoring their rule over the PL and then the world.

Sean – Klopp isn’t a victim here. He keeps insisting on a broken formation that doesn’t work anymore. He needs to take the lions share for how we’re playing at the minute, as its the whole squad turning out, being dire, game after game. At what point do you start holding him accountable? Fans are rightly pissed off with what’s being served up.

30th December 2022 at 4:25 pm in reply to: January Transfers 2023 (All I Want For Christmas is….) #202008I don’t get the sportwashing argument at all tbh. We wouldn’t be talking about the crimes of the Saudis, Qataris, or UAE at all if they hadn’t purchased football clubs. It puts them under the microscope rather than allowing them to escape it.
The Uk government has been profiting from arms sales to the Saudis for a good while now, we should probably start with our own Govt before pointing our fingers in a south easterly direction imo.

Tbf 9, I think he was just celebrating France remaining in the lead, rather than maliciously goading kane.

Kanes miss was dreadful, I can understand if Lloris had saved it, but he’s ballooned it way over the bar, not even close. I feel for the guy, but this defeat lies firmly at Tottenhams door. It’s all Tottenhams fault.

Fifa making a great case to be completely disbanded and reformed aren’t they.
From this world cup and all associated blemishes, to Infantino’s insane out of touch speech, they are clearly so far removed from reality it’s borderline unbelievable. It’s only believable because of the detestable organisation they have become, with their only redeeming feature being a computer game, and if you’re into gaming, you’re aware that even that is a predatory PoS, that somehow maintains its popularity.

Tbf 9, it’s usually the older crowd that say things like current X player isn’t fit to clean past Y players boots, and in doing so make that comparison. I wasn’t having a dig at you, just pointing out that I now take nostalgic views of football with a hefty pinch of salt.

Funny you mention 66 9. I watched the final for the first time, I think when the Euros were on (Men’s), so a couple of years ago now. I have to be honest the standard of football was dire, really really poor. I don’t deny that it was likely the height of the game at the time.
Not sure what point i’m trying to make, but I do now roll my eyes whenever someone brings up the players of yesteryear to highlight how much better they are than today’s players. It simply isn’t the case.

Klopp needs to fire a rocket up his own backside. He’s supposed to motivate the players, but so far all we’ve seen is naieve inept performances this season. Trent, Virgil and Mo all playing at about 10% in every game. They’re quickly running out of excuses if they haven’t already. But I’m sure Klopp will point out I was watching a different game or something equally ridiculous.

If we win it takes our season from very good to great. Seems to be written in the stars for Real, hopefully we pull out a Starscourge Radahn and bring the stars to their knees. 25th May 2022 at 1:40 pm in reply to: โฝ๏ธ๐น๐ฐFinal Day Football Gameweek 38โฝ๏ธ๐ #196346Ed – I think you’re forgetting a lot of people fancied man utd and chelsea at the start of the season, as they have been left behind it makes it look like an obvious two horse race. Before a ball was kicked we were anything but a dead cert for at least 2nd. After our first game against Chelsea, Lucky tried to tell me he had enough empirical evidence to say Chelsea were the better team.

Howe wasn’t even managing for two months of the season. I found it funny that you thought Howe and Conte were more deserving than Klopp and I still do.
