Spurs have appealed against Sons red card. I guess with all the confusion regarding the different events they are trying to get in to pay off the new stadium, they must have thought this was some kind of UFC royal rumble.

tbf she is 16, if she was in care, she would be expected to be moving towards independence now.

In decline or not, the fact that Chelsea were able to sign Torres as basically a squad player, gives an indication of how good chelsea were back then. Chelsea IMO changed the game in the PL, but I suppose that predated this decade. If they can now make a long term model work with Frank, the horizon looks pretty good for them, and the moneyball strategy that they were much derided for, seems to be saving them somewhat. Chelsea have been sticking 2 fingers up to everyone else and doing it their own way, which seems to work for them.

9 & NB – Even though I agree with a lot of his policies, I do agree he’s been a weak leader, and agree with nil that he has baggage, whether all of it is justified is another matter.
This was a brexit election though, and Corbyns stance on brexit came under constant scrutiny. Party split about 60 40 in favour if remain in terms of voters. Damned if he did, damned if he didn’t tbh, but I suppose shame on him for not being able to see that, and resign I suppose. The next Labour leader would have been in the same position though, I guess hopefully without the afore mentioned baggage.
Respect the result though, and am sort of relieved the plaster can just be ripped off now. I will end on one combative note however. If you did vote conservative, please hold your party to account for their failings going forward, no more excuses about the other guy please.

9 – I disagree, people like this dude wanted Corbyn to take a firm remain stance, but it was leave areas labour lost big. It’s easy to batter corbyn when he’s down, but labour losing wasn’t completely down to him, and it’s pretty ignorant to say it was.

9 – I agree, and I have no time for personal insults. Cheers for the well wishes. Chelsea IMO are having a great season, if you get top 4 and grab a trophy Lamps will have to be a contender for Manager of the year.

Chucky – I get that, but at the same token how many people go on about the last time any of them won it? Liverpool fans are bantered constantly about the PL title, and will be until we win one. We know that, you know that, everyone knows that.

9 – I think when it comes to the PL most liverpool fans, including myself are hypersensitive. We will be until we are crowned champions IMO. I try to ignore all the comments re bottling etc, but if City were in our position, I would be saying it’s theirs to lose as well. It’s very hard for any red to have that confidence in our team, and at present it feels a little too good to be true.

Just read OGS is the only manager to ever record wins against Pep and Jose in the same week. Will quite possibly be the only manager to ever do that.

Probably worth pointing out that Foundation trusts do have their own budget that they can do with what they will, with little to no pressure from central government. However if said trusts get a negative review from the cqc they may have foundation status stripped. The NHS has been poorly funded for a decade and poorly managed for far longer. But some trusts are getting it right.

I would have to disagree that all parties agree on the basics. They certainly do not in the UK, or at least they pretend not to.

Chucky – Maybe it’s the press in this country, or the two party system that makes it more difficult. I agree with everything you say about how it should work though.

Chucky – It would be sweet if power swung from left to right in the UK, but unfortunately it swings right, and then gets lost somewhere on the way back at the moment.

Chucky – Hung parliaments make it impossible for anything to get done, unless one party concedes in a coalition, so it really isn’t a desirable way to run the country. Having said that, I agree with 9 on the likely outcomes of this election, and I am keen to avoid a Bozo majority. For lack of a better word, it’s just shit atm.

I do have to agree with 9 and Sean on this, which is strange as they hold differing views. To win the FCWC would be fantastic as it’s so hard to qualify for. I am apprehensive however due to our congested fixture schedule, and how important it is to end our 30 year wait for the PL. No easy answers at the top unfortunately, but at least if we do fall short in the league, we have our excuses made and ready to go.
