Why not, 999? It’s doing no one any harm. If Mak and Oz start posting more on this forum, then it’s got to be a good thing. They are both excellent contributors and as far as I am concerned talking about why they are pissed off with the Liverpool forum on TT is fine by me. I got pissed off there some time ago now, but we need more posters on here. You may have loyalty to TT, and that’s fair enough, but there’s a lot of people who have left that forum, and by and large that is the admins fault there. It’s pathetic.
Ed here contributes regularly and joins in discussions. There are few if any fall outs, though sadly, Jim seems to have disappeared again. Best forum, best posters!

Hoping for a draw between Spurs and Chelsea and maybe Arsenal dropping points at Bournemouth, and we sneak a narrow win at Watford. That would just give us a bit of breathing space behind us. City will win comfortably as usual!

I would prefer to see Solanke get some game time only when we are winning. By all means bring him on if we’re winning with 15 to go, but I just don’t fancy him from the start. I can’t argue with your Gomez analogy, but as I said on an earlier post the position of striker, particularly a No 9 who offers far less all round than Bobby, is absolutely crucial.

Must admit Mak, I don’t really agree with about Solanke. Admittedly, i haven’t seen anything of him this season, so I am basing my opinion simply on what I saw last season, and in that time I thought he looked completely out of his depth. We all know how difficult it is for young players to break through at the biggest clubs, and the worst thing that could happen to Solanke was Liverpool getting knocked out of the League Cup so early, thereby restricting his possibilities of gametime even more. And even to put him on the bench is a risk for me. Could you see Solanke coming up with a wonder goal like Sturridge did at Chelsea? When you are chasing City at the top, and Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal are not far behind you, there is little or no margin for error. I’d rather see Studge coming on with 15 minutes to go when we’re chasing a game, than Solanke.
It is also even more difficult for attacking players than defenders as their success or otherwise is more measurable, and one goal in 27 appearances last season, albeit most as a sub, are not the stats that demand inclusion. His, or Liverpool’s, biggest mistake in the summer was not sending him out on loan, though I guess uncertainty over Sturridge’s fitness dictated that. I think he should go on loan like Wilson has, and let’s see if he pulls up trees elsewhere. Even Foden at City, who everyone says is the best of his generation, is a long way from being in any City starting eleven, certainly in the big games.

Gjblues – would agree about Delph. Thought he had a fine game. I’d play him alongside Henderson rather than Dier. Think Stones and Gomez look the part at the back so where does Maguire fit in, or doesn’t he? Would be tough on him after his summer but I do think Gomez and Stones should be first choice
