Look, I’m off to bed now, but we have got to meet up. Can’t believe there’s someone on this site who literally lives 500m from me! Got to get the Ed to get email addresses!

I would say I’ll meet to watch your game tomorrow, but I guess you’ll be going to it?

I was in the Boundary on wed watching the games, Liverpool and City, and it was full of United knobs winding their City mates up. Don’t like the pub but it’s my closest. Woodside any day!

Yeah but Dynamo Dresden would have had all the benefits of the old East German government support. Top side of their day!!!!!

Wow! So City were even getting easy draws in 1970 (smiley face). My first European game was in about 1974 I think against Dynamo DResden. Do you still go to games now? Are you still In Manchester?

I’m with you, Mikus. This is a legit discussion and not a witch hunt. Every other manager has been discussed whether it’s Jose (many times), Klopp, Poch, Sarri et al. Now is a relevant time to discuss Pep’s failings (or not). There has been nothing untoward except possibly Mav on the other thread who maybe, and I say maybe, crossed the line. But Jim was too sensitive when he left, and I really hope Brian doesn’t feel the same way

999- I didn’t see Nil’s post the other night but you’ve got to be able to express your feelindgs at the end of a game. This is a site for all fans, and is great for it being that way and it is not as though Nil went on a City page to wind people up. Other fans celebrate defeats of rivals all the time and as long as it doesn’t get personal or vitriolic, surely that’s what this site is all about. Mind you I didn’t see the post and Nil does have previous and he would have reacted if the boot was on the other foot.
But anyway Brian, come back pal, we want your words of wisdom and good sense

gj – who the hell are SK Leirse? I can’t even guess the country! My game was crystal Palace on a Friday night, the night before the Grand National, no Sunday football in those days. Hooked ever since!!

Well Brian definitely is, i don;t know about you. 1962, and I feel every year of it, but even if you are older ( and wiser) tahn me, we still need and want Brian contributing here cos he’s older and wiser than both of us! I loved his stories of going to Maine Road in the 50’s. My first game was April 3rd 1970 so effectively he is 2 decades ahead of me!!

Spot on gj! You don’t want us Scouser’s dominating the site. Your contributions are valued, particularly as you’re the only one whof is actually older than me, I think!!

Why Brian? I would echo Eds and 99o posts. We want you here. Mav is having a laugh but it’s not personal. I would appeal to you, don’t throw your dummy out. Most on here have sympathised with City for the way they went out, if not for the actual fact that they went out. Come on, you’re better than this!

I’m with Mikus. No-one’s arguing that Pep isn’t a graet manager and improved players, but he hasn’t targetted leaders for an excellent technical team…like Virgil. They could have got him 18 months, 2 years ago, but he quite simply didn’t go for him hard enough. Imagine what City would be like if they had him now.

I’m with you, Brian. The game wasn’t broke. It’s beauty is it’s simplicity and quite obviously, that is now going to he’ll in a handcart
