I’ve changed my mind on VAR so many times after what I’ve seen. One week I’m 100% in and it’s vital, the next I’m, come on really, I’m out!! Think I agree though that it should deal with the ridiculous side of the game like hand balls, crazy off sides, bad tackles, basically the stuff we all hate. It shouldn’t be debating offsides that are in inches or small pushes in the box, that ends up someone’s opinion and that’s the flaw.

Jeez, it’s hard to think back when I started on team talk, it was very early 0000’s maybe 2002 ish. It could have been earlier, when did it start? I used to post every single day and it was my main footy debate site by a mile.

Great performance by City today given all the circumstances like, away first day, away to a very hard place and team, players on bench, World Cup players still not 100% yet and there was a lot of them, new manager, new players and renewed optimism in the full crowd, yeah we did good.
Of course pool are gonna push city hard this season, obsolutely no doubt about that.
Can Chelsea regroup and get playing, they have a new very good manager and some great additions so I’m watching them.
Utd, well, Maureen, things seem on boiling point with him and the board. He has his don’t blame me head on already sighting the lack of new players and backing!! Jesus does he ever stop, that club have backed him very well. If he can remove the negative, don’t lose tactics then they won’t be far away.
Spuds, could have done with a couple of additions really, injuries could cause real issues with this squad. But on their day can whoop anyone.
Can’t see anyone else touching these 5 really, these 5 will dominate this league this year quite easily

Evening gents, on way back from game, many empty seats in both ends but lovely warm day and cold magners. I was surprised city were so strong, thought Pep would add more kids but Bernardo and Foden were excellent. Mendy was like a brand new top signing, as is Laporte in a way so our squad is much stronger than last season. That said everyone will be stronger so it will be a tough season this year I think but I can see why we are slight favourites.
Had a lot of work to do end of last season so sorry I didn’t log in and say hi but I will be from now on.

Can’t argue with the MUEN guys, it’s actually disgraceful how they have turned against City. From that draw on Friday the MUEN put up negative stories Every single day for a week. That wouldn’t be so bad if they were simply geared at having a pop directly at us but this paper surpassed its self, they actually bigged up Pool and sided with them. Go figure, a Manc paper doing that? Surely the only reason is/was to show their true colours, red!! Just a disgrace, whenever I’m even offered a MUEN paper free I decline it, trash paper serving up trash articles.

Wow, just listened to the interview, oh my!! I’m not sure what to think. The better managers take the blame and deal with things quietly and internally, he doesn’t ever do that, he won’t take any blame and is never quiet. Didn’t Ed Wudwud say utd have signed the best manager in the world? If he’s the best, what does that make the rest?

I’m tired of reffing at every level and my mates dad is a county ref and he is giving it up because he can’t be arsed with the threats from scroats. Only good thing he is a big guy who looks like he can handle himself so he doesn’t get too much shit but Colin his mate isn’t and he gets it all the time. Not good, needs to stop I totally get it BUT I still think a conversation and explanation from officials after games is REALLY required. They mess up, go home, start again the week after but we have to live with the aftermath and they don’t. I completely agree with a new global approach though otherwise little Johnny on Sunday morning thinks it’s ok at age 14 to noise up a grown man reffing his game and dad stood on the line shouting threats doesn’t really help does he???
