He won’t be cheap Jim. He signed a contract extension at Juve last April that’s still got over four years to run. Taking that into consideration, and in today’s (mind-blowingly astronomical) market, you’re probably looking at Β£130-140m. He’s only 24 and a Pep-type player but as you quite rightly pointed out, I don’t think our owners will entertain those figures.

PPT, might ‘pave the way’ for a Dybala bid. He would be the perfect successor to Sergio………eventually. Imagine him and Jesus up front – the interchanging would be mesmeric.

Those figures truly are staggering and I really can’t/don’t believe them.
Question – why would united go that high if they were the only club in the running to sign him?_____________________________

A longish story but one Iβll keep as brief as I can.
My Dad used to be a professional footballer, who, in his later years played in the non-leagues for Altrincham and Chorley. At the time, I was about8 and my younger brother would have been 6. We used to go with Dad, accompanied by our Granddad, to watch him when playing at home but were not allowed to go to the away games.
So when he was playing away, it was a choice between being dragged around Manchester city centre, shopping, with Mum, Gran and Auntie or going to Maine Road to watch City with our Uncle.
Earliest memories are of Bell, Lee, Sumerbee, Young, Coleman, Wyn Davies, etal. Fantastic team. Colin Bell was always my favourite and Franny Lee was my brotherβs.
Used to get βtreatedβ to a hot dog on the way into the ground.
Sadly, our Uncle passed away five years ago but I still say a quiet thanks to him every time I enter the ground. If it hadn’t been for him, we’d have probably ended up supporting United…………….heaven forbid.
RIP Uncle Terry._____________________________

All the guys on here are decent, even Nil when not pissed – hope it stays that way – Ed does a good job. Just can’t spend as much time as I’d like due to a fairly hectic work, family and social life. But, as they say, you can’t have everything, eh?_____________________________

Mav, yeah I noticed some posts by englishbob the other day when had glimpse on the United pages – quite funny. FFS if TMA started posting on here, I’d be looking for another forum, lol
Also, it’s not too hard to wind up Shanksy._____________________________

God help us if TMA ever shows up on here.
Why you so confident he won’t, Nine?_____________________________

Jim and PPT, I was trying to be diplomatic but I’m more than happy with either of those two suggestions. Both would be appropriate.

Jose ‘The Maverick’ Mourinho v Antonio ‘The Italian Stallion’ Conte.
Give ’em each a pair of boxing gloves, put ’em in a ring (or cage) and they can sort it out.
Put it on Sky BO – bet they would make a fortune._____________________________

Best wishes going forward mate._____________________________

Sorry to hear about that, Pagan. My wife and I know exactly how you felt – we sadly lost our first son, Oliver, after 5 days, following his two month premature birth.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Dav, his partner and little Mateo.
He appears to have got through the first couple of weeks which is a good sign. Added to that, that Dav can now come out and talk about it is also a good sign that his son is getting stronger – here’s hoping._____________________________

Both articles are pretty much bang on the money.
All the United fans I know would, without reservation, agree.
As a City fan, I hope he stays at United for a few more years._____________________________

I would hate to see Sergio leave but you have to trust the Manager’s judgement – especially when you’ve got the best – he has only made one serious error – Bravo.
Pep has already stated that it’ll be Aguero’s decision if/when he leaves, so my take is that he’s put him in the picture about starts/rotation and if Sergio can’t/won’t accept that, then the decision will be his. All the other players appear to accept this.
It wouldn’t surprise me if Aguero went back to Atletico in the summer with Griezmann coming to us._____________________________

Not sure about Stones, Jim. I had heard he was back in training last week, so he may feature tomorrow.
City these days, play their injury news very ‘close to their chest’, which, in many respects, is the way to go.
My feeling is that Pep won’t risk him until he’s absolutely 100%, with all our other CBs fit – no need._____________________________

As PPT stated above this won’t be an easy game as they’ll play with a bit more confidence following their win at WHU. However, I still expect us to pick up the three points – we have a good record up there and especially so Aguero; his confidence should be back after the two v. Bournemouth.
My team would be: Ederson – Walker, Delph, Kompany, Otamendi – Fernandinho, Silva, De Bruyne – Sterling, Sane, Aguero.
That should do the trick.
