Talk is he’s gone tomorrow, Jim.
Hope not though._____________________________

Mikus, no team can high press for a full 90 mins. You pressed us for around 70 last season and got your just rewards but had the game gone on for another 10, I reckon City would have nicked at least a draw. Besides, Liverpool looked very tired, especially in the second half, against Napoli, which gives me some hope. Having said that, like Jim and Adlab, I’d take as draw now.
May the best team win. COYB._____________________________

Good win for City – not great, especially in second half but kept plugging away and eventually got what, I think, we deserved. Referee terrible again.
First time I’ve watched United this season – my God, it really is like watching paint dry – plenty of enthusiasm (in patches) but no endeavour, no invention, no pace to the play and very little idea.
I almost feel sorry for the United fans. I did say almost._____________________________

What a goal by Hazard – world class by a world class player.
Daniel Sturridge miss akin to that by Torres V. Man U a few years ago. Very funny._____________________________

Deserved win for Spurs. A lot of huff and puff from United but even when they pressured the Spurs goal (after Spurs second) there was no structure to their attacks – just hoof it up front and, seemingly, hope for the best.
Enough to keep Jose? Hopefully._____________________________

Exciting stuff, if only because of the amount of errors being made by both sides – Keystone Cops football at it’s finest.
Far too much ‘kick and rush’. Eriksen and Dembele need to get their foot on the ball and slow it down a touch.
Not sure what United need to do – Lingard their best player, Pogba having a ‘mare._____________________________

Spurs no doubt have the ability to go to OT and get a positive result, especially so taking advantage of United’s fragile confidence at present. However, I can only see them go there and play their usual OT origami football and fold.

Moos, I appreciate your point but don’t forget the refs in the WC had the benefit of VAR. All refs in top leagues need this, the game is so much faster these days. I can’t believe the PL have not employed it this season. Anybody know why?

Very professional performance by Liverpool tonight. Last season they would have thrown away points in this type of fixture.
I known Sean’s reservations but I still maintain Liverpool will be our biggest challenger this season.
Very early days but game on._____________________________

Point taken Nine. As far as I’m concerned that’s the end of it.

You need to be very careful what you say, pal, especially about the Munich chants. I’ve not heard anything about that for at least thirty years, and I go to every home game and a lot of away games.
And I suppose United are ‘whiter than white’ eh? Hillsborough ring any bells._____________________________

Exactly what have City dished out?

Question for you then, OGS, who would you rather have managing Man U, Jose or Pep?
One word answer only please._____________________________

Jim, I’m totally with you on that one, pal.

I hear what you’re saying Nine but like I said, don’t dish it if you can’t take it.
Been a City fan for nigh on fifty years and for a large part had to take plenty of stick, so it’s now a bit of ‘payback’ as far as I’m concerned – and I’m not ashamed to admit it._____________________________

Give over Nine, he’s a prize plum and the faster he’s leaves English football the better for everyone………..especially the United fans. He’s rammed almost everyone in football at some stage, if he can’t take it, he shouldn’t dish it out.
Not sure how you can defend the prick, tbh._____________________________

Adlab, just read Mourinho’s comments. What a laugh – he talks about “class”. Is this the same idiot that poked Tito Vilanova in the eye, that lambasted Dr Carneiro and called her a “daughter of a whore”. that constantly criticises his players in public, that has served more touchline bans than any other PL manager, etc., etc., etc.
What a muppet.
A ‘has been’ muppet in fact._____________________________

You are spot on Mikus and that’s what struck me watching what I’ve seen so far – in the dressing room scenes when Pep is talking, all the players to a man paid absolute attention to what he was saying; there was no looking down, looking away, tying boots, etc., the concentration from the players was unswerving.

Brian, I didn’t say I don’t think we’ll miss him, I just don’t think we’ll miss him to the extent some are making out – we have a great squad and a fantastic manager who will make any necessary adjustments to accommodate his loss. I feel Foden is still too young to step in full time but do think he’ll get more game time during KDB’s absence.
