HH – they were a Belgian side. Wiki says “often simply known as Lierse, was a Belgian professional football club from the city of Lier in the Antwerp province”. Apparently they were ‘dissolved’ in May 2018!!!!!!
It was a ECWC 2nd round. Also went to the QF v. Academica de Coimbra from Portugal – another giant of European football ? and the SF v. Shalke.

No thanks to the “monsters”, Mikus. Give me the football we’ve been playing for the last two years, any day. It really doesn’t bother me how many trophies we win or don’t win. I followed my team through three divisions (only missed four games, home and away in third tier season). If I’d died the day after that Agueroooooo moment, I’d have died a very happy man. Everything we’ve won since has been a bonus imho.
Obviously very disappointed to have lost (the tie) on Wednesday, yes we were unlucky but that’s football.
Some people take it far too seriously and that goes for one or two on this forum I might add.
I love the football we’re playing and really wouldn’t want to see anything change.

Have a re-think Bri. Your posts are always unbiased, subjective and a good read. Us Blues have already lost Jim and I can’t post as much as I’d like – heavy work, social and family commitments.

Wonderful second half performance from Ajax. Thoroughly deserved their victory – could have should have been about 5 or 6-1. They are no mugs and will be a massive test for City or Spurs.

A decent game of football for the neutral.
But Ole, what were you thinking of going ‘gung ho’ when going down to ten meagainst probably the most organised and patient team in the PL. Surely one point was better than no points, especially when the fight for CL places is so tight.
You will learn.
