From memory the last time we had snow like this was 2 years ago. At least it could have snowed tomorrow so there was a chance work telling people to not come in or “work from home”.
Bugger.
Anyway I am changing my prediction now. It will be 5 nil to Liverpool.

I know friends who are planning to attend the game(both United and Liverpool fans), they are struggling and say they may not risk it. It is still snowing where I live. That is 45 minutes away.

More is coming out about this moron. I wonder what spin his PR team will put on this.
Absolute disgrace of a footballer.

I cannot remember the last time Bruno turned up against Liverpool in a league game.
My prediction is 4 nil to Liverpool.

Not sure who Neville been watching. Dalot has been ass. I’m sure he recently said Gvardiol was the best left back this season so far.

I don’t think De Ligt has been that bad. Martinez has been dreadful. So has Dalot. Their positioning and awareness has been terrible.

Apologies Banjo. Thought you said United were not a big club, rather than whether they are the biggest club. United have never been the biggest club in the world. That goes to Madrid. If they come sniffing for 1 of your players, you might as well start looking for a replacement.
Whether a player wants to join United, City or Liverpool. If you want to win trophies, then Liverpool and City are the obvious ones and players will be drawn to that. That is all down to United being a mess at the moment.
I would take City’s revenue with a pinch of salt and * at the moment.
15 years ago Milan were in the top 5. They have dropped off. Whilst United have been on a dreadful run for a decade are still there. I believe that is the stature of the size of the club. But I believe that is going to change the next 5-10 years if things remain the same.

Threeps-
I am not sure what players Amorim needs to succeed. Alonso plays a similar style and he flourished right away. Difference is, Alonso didn’t walk into a mess.
Like I mentioned, Amorim comes in, drops Rashford for his performances and Rashford days later pulls off a interview behind the clubs back talking about needing a new challenge. Proving what I have been saying, he is playing for himself. Coincidentally he was at a school helping out. Great PR. That is the problem, players like him have got their own way for so long, where it has created a split. Rashford should be bleeding for this club, like Gerrard use to for Liverpool.

115 offered the same transfer fee and wages to the same player, that player would be wearing light blue
Historically United have been rejected by players, whilst they were on top, Shearer, Batistuta and so on. So have City and so have Liverpool. Van Dijk joined Liverpool over City, whilst City were winning things and breaking records. Didn’t Caicedo reject Liverpool for Chelsea, even though Liverpool offered the same salary and transfer fee.
I can also say you remove the state ownership of City, what are they. You remove the Glazers and Ratcliffe from Manchester United, they still will generate some of the biggest revenue in world football. United even at a mediocre level are still getting record breaking sponsorship deals and revenue. They are 2nd in the most valuable football club in world football. This is a club that hasn’t challenged for a league title in 11 years. How many clubs can say that?

Banjo-
The last summer window United have signed De Ligt, Ugarte, United will always be a draw for players. People keep saying who would want to play for them now, yet we still attract players.

When we signed Casemiro, he was exactly the type of player United needed at the time. He did well during his debut season and the experience the club needed. Otherwise it would have been Mctominay and Fred. Experienced players are the ones who have turned up for United, Zlatan, Cavani, Ronaldo, Casemiro(1st season).
The problem has been the young players attitude and their reluctant to develop or not actually being good enough, especially in the attacking department. Sancho, Rashford, Martial, Dan James, Antony, Gernacho(still young), Hojlund(still young). Then you have the likes of Sanchez, Lukaku who flopped. These players are not going to get you challenging for league titles. None of them have been good enough to consistently get you 20+ goals.
Some of the decision making and judgement has been questionable, why buy Antony, when he isn’t as good as Elanga. Why not use that money on a proper clinical striker. It has been like this for a decade and now it has caught up. Unfortunately Amorim has walked into this. This is the open heart surgery Ragnick was referring to.

He is a disgrace Sean. Seems like partly owning a club this size is too big for him.

He has been brought in too soon. Should have been brought in during the summer. He needed a pre season to properly analyse things. He has walked in to a poison chalice. Look at Rashford weeks in to Amorims appointment. Absolute disgrace. He has done nothing for that club and he thinks he is Steven Gerrard. Too many players who think they are better than what they are and only playing for themselves, along with a moronic owner who made a statement saying he is going to put the ‘Manchester’ back in Manchester United, yet has done anything but. Cutting jobs, stopping to poor ex players, cutting bonuses and expenses to low income employees.
Club is finished and dead. 35 years following this club and never been so detached from it. Unlikeable players, unlikeable owners. The whole club stinks.

Ferguson had seasons like Pep during his period at United. The 2001-2002 season comes to mind(although theory is, him announcing his retirement being the reason why they had a wobble that season).
City won their 1st 3 league games without Rodri(Chelsea away being 1 of them). But there is something wrong at City. Something seems off. This City season reminds me of the 2001-2002 United season, but for United the reason was more obvious. Pep just looks like he has lost his hunger and demotivated and that had rubbed on to the players.

Banjo-
I agree with you to an extent. I believe our top clubs just win things in cycles, whilst abroad they are more consistent. The last 2 decades we have had Chelsea and City get taken over by billionaires, 1 of them by a state. That changed the dynamic, otherwise Liverpool and Arsenal would have dominated last decade and this decade if City did not get taken over by a state.

La Liga currently is a 3 horse race
Serie A is a 4 horse race
Bundesliga is a 2 horse raceEnglish football is just bizarre. The 3 most successful sides have only won 1 league title within the last 11 years. When our top sides don’t win the league for a more than 3 years, they can go decades without winning it. Arsenal 20+ years, United 11 years currently, 26 years before 93, Liverpool 30 years. This is unheard of across other top leagues, imagine Bayern, Real, Barca going decades not winning league titles.

Know he signed a new contract shortly afterwards, but in my opinion Peps and City dive in form coincides with Txiki Begiristain announcing his departure. The same happened at Barcelona and Pep left just shortly afterwards. Peps best years has always been working alongside Txiki Begiristain.
