Agree Nine.
I called it bollcoks because the irony is, they didn’t want anything to do with the royal family and wanted to distant themselves from the family. Yet the only way they can make a living is by going after the family they didn’t want anything to with.
Sad really that it has come to this. I called the skin colour of the baby thing for being bollocks at the time it happened. I said it all depends on context, I have mix race family members who complexion is different to each and it has been brought up. Too many sensitive souls in the world today.

Just been watching Sky Sports News and Dawson said he was on par with Messi and Ronaldo during his prime. Quality player……but nowhere near their level.
Greatest British player of all time will be debatable…….Rooney was better than him in his prime imo, along with Charlton, Gerrard and Gazza.

Does Martinez still tell people who interview him, he once won the FA cup for Wigan in order to convince them he is a good manager.
Crazy decision, having him in charge of Belgium cost them winning some trophies imo.

If that is the case Lucky, where is the experience going to come from if the experience players are going leave in the near future?
There is going to be a lot of inexperience at your club including the manager. That is not a recipe for success short or long term.

William is more distant. That’s not to say he doesn’t care; he’s just distant and shows very little human touch and emotion.
I disagreed with that statement Nil and used Glenfell as a example of him being there for people who suffered so much. That isn’t someone who is distant and lacks human touch.

I agree with that statement. But doesn’t your side have enough experience in Silva, Kante, Jorginho, Chilwell and Kovacic already. The signings were made in the summer before the injury crisis. If you had a fully fit squad, how many of the under 22 would get a chance within the next 4-5 years.

Nil-
When Glenfell happened, William was 1 of the 1st there showing support to the victims. No family is perfect and there will always be personality clashes. I believe Harry is milking it knowing he could make a living from it.

They mentioned part of the reason wanting to leave was because they didn’t want media scrutiny. Yet everything they have done since has been scrutinised by the media.
It is bollocks.

If these experienced players end up doing well, then these players under 22 are not going to get the chance to develop or play 1st team football. If there are going to be short term hindrance, then play the youngsters and let them grow.
There is a contradiction with their project, when they want something long term, yet end up buying established players who could play for 4-5 years.

He and his wife said they didn’t want anything to do with the royal family and wanted to live a private life, away from the limelight………..yet we are getting Netflix shows, books and TV interviews.

There were reports not so long ago about senior people at Chelsea not being convinced by Koulibaly. That’s why Badiashile was bought. If these reports are true, then these people will be thinking the same about Potter sooner or later.
It is confusing what these Chelsea owners want. I have read they have a long term project, yet some short term signings were bought and Ronaldo was targeted. That does not sound long term, it sounds like they do not know what they are doing and throwing money for the sake of it. It reminds of when Woodward came in and started giving long term contracts to the likes of Jones, Nani and others because he thought they would become good and would receive a good fee for them if they didn’t.

Apologies, saw this tweet and thought he only won the 1 since him taking charge-
Chelsea have sacked managers for less than this, haven’t they? 👀 pic.twitter.com/WHX31woqen

I agree with what you are saying Lucky. He does need time to turn things around, but the media are judging him on the back of only winning 1 league game since taking charge of the club.
Truthfully, I don’t know much about Potter besides from his Brighton side humbling United on a few occasions.
Being a United fan, I know what it is like when we get a manager in who did well at a smaller club and didn’t go to plan when he joined us. It is different level of expectations, Potter may be a good tactician, but he also needs to deal with big name players and big personalities too now.
I hope Potter does work out at Chelsea and I am glad a English manager is finally given a chance to take charge of a elite club in the PL.

Lucky-
A manager is always judged on results. There is nothing in place to indicate Chelsea results will pick up under Potter. Ten Hag was being hammered after the 1st few games and has got results since, same with Howe at Newcastle. Klopp got them at Liverpool. It seems like the players are not playing for Potter.

I am not sure Lucky. When Roman arrived you got the likes of Crespo, Makalele and Veron in. Then brought in players for the future like Cole, Robben, Duff, Essien, Drogba, Carvalho, along with others. Many of those came from mid table sides or players from the Dutch, Portuguese or French league. They became big names at Chelsea.

Lucky-
I understand what you are saying. I just think some signings have been bizarre. Aubameyang, Sterling and Koulibaly have not hit the ground running and the lb from Brighton was not needed because you had someone better in Chilwell.
But for some reason, this reminds me of Romans 1st summer when a lot of players were brought in and then you got Jose in a year later to gel them together.
Is Potter capable of doing that? We will see.

Potter does need time, but what is going on with the Chelsea’a recruitment. Everything just seems gung ho and no strategy at all.

With all those changes, you still field a side that cost almost £350m

Although they did well last season, Liverpool have not looked the same since the arrival of Thiago. He seems to slow play for them and lacks the energy they previously had. Accommodating and building a team around him has had an impact.
