It always amazes me when fotballers get a free pass when it comes to “falling over with the merest of touches”… as somebody who’s played both ice-hockey and rugby over the years, a game where you are actually allowed to knock people onto their Arsenal’s, if we all “went down” that easy we would be laughed at by our own teams mates…
How that peno wasn’t overturned I’ll never know…

We very probably will find the net, only problem being I’m sure they’ll find the net “more”… lost count of our injuries, going to “assume” out back for good be Porro on the right, Micky and Simon in the middle and Grey on the left…

That’s the thing about the new format, tonight does look exciting, and the poor internet bunny who’s going to have to keep the 32 team league table up to date that I’m sure about 27 of the 32 teams will be looking at is going to be knackered by the end of it… but it’s the now 29th Jan before things have got exciting…

Maybe, most likely in fact, but they could also fall under the “transfer” that just didn’t work out… and there’s plenty of those…

Seven? That could be fun… unlikely, but fun all the same!

Had mentioned it a few times in the CL thread… but since my boys aren’t realistic contenders for it, kinda forgot… but the last time I looked, it would take a monumental collapse by all the English teams for the Prem not to get 5….
The real question, though, is what happens if either the Spuds or YooUtd win the Europa league (unlikely considering the form of both sides)? As neither are going to finish Top5, would that mean the Prem might get 6?

Not quite sure what you’re talking about, cyber chum, but personally, I have very little sympathy for anybody who earns millions for kicking a ball about or somehow associated with football.. it’s a game, at the end of the day, and considering the rewards they get when compared to the likes of teachers, nurses or the millions of other people who contribute something practical to society, those “bitches” should just shut up and get on with it.
Stuck in the reserves earning 200k a week? Give me a f*****g break…

Good shout, 3p’s, stay until the end of the season, blame it on his family not settling or something, and leave by mutual consent…
Of course, he’s be A) missing a pay-off & B) stiching himself up for any job outside Portugal ever again!
Maybe be won’t quit afterall… but do his best to get the boot!!

Don’t know much about the Portuguese league, I would imagine it’s very similair to the Scottish, Dutch, Belguim leagues, namely 2/3 decents sides who are so far in front of the others the rest are all just cannon fodder… coming to the Prem in the a different beast entirely… if I was a chairman, there would be 2 types of managers on my list… either somebody who has won stuff in the Top 4 leagues, so either Englerland, Spain, Italy or Germany (sorry, France, you’re a 1 team league now, you’ve screwed the pooch!) or a manager who’s punching above his weight in the Prem….
Of course, a lot would depend what club I’m chairman at… but I think that’s the minimum Mr. Levy should be looking at…

Under any other circumstance, you would say Leicesters was a “smash & grab” type game… it was all one way traffic except it was women drivers doing all the driving…
We’ll stay up, once we get most of our players back we’ll get back into the more typical won one, lose one pattern we’ve had for about a season and a half now… should be enough for 40 points…

Let’s not turn Liecester into some sort of world beaters who are going racing up the league, they won’t, they’ll still finish below us Spuds… their first goal was a bit of a lucky bounce that fell for Vardy (yes, the cut us open for the cross, but it could have gone anywhere) and the 2nd goal was one of those he’ll be lucky to score 3 of those a season and wouldn’t get 1 if our defenders were awake and doing their job… struggling to think of any other decent attempts/chances they created…
Liecester were shit, no doubt about it, but Spuds were even worse, they had the upper hand for about 5 minutes, in which they scored both goals… the other 85 minutes were Spuds doing their best impression of the Dog & Duck.

I’d want to say “No”, for pretty much the same reasons as 3’ps mentions above, combined with the hopeful return of about 1 teams’s worth of players, but I can’t see us getting much past 40 points by seasons end, 45 max!
Better win a Cup or two… 🙂
