Right then, just saw the ADSC “goal”… I would be very pissed if that was given against me!!!
Anyway, transfer window is now shut, the mini “warm-up” league season before the 1st wonderful international break is over (for us Spuds anyway!)…
Overall quite happy. Sad Harry buggered off, but new manager, a few new players, a new style of football just about as opposite as possible to the previous manager and 10 points from 12 playing some very nice football in the process… could have been a hell of a lot worse!
30 more points to safty and I’m feeling quite confident we can pick enough points in the remaining 34 games!!

Sounds like the ADSC have ‘got away with one’ according to gossip… which can’t be true according to Adders becasue they never get away with anything…. 🙂

We’ve all said it before and no doubt will say it again, ADSC are a will run club, and as the Jammy Todgers have proved, it’s a lot more than just splashing cash, but let’s not pretend that ADSC haven’t spent billions and billions to get where they are at a time when they were the only club being able to spend billions and billions… it’s only one ingredient in the receipe for success but without a doubt it’s the largest and most important ingredient.

Looks like we’ve got Johnson for 45m… don’t think I’ve seen him kick a ball, certainly hasn’t kicked it well enough for me to remember anyway… oh well, time will tell!!
And Pool turned down 150m for Salah?? I know he’s as loved up there as Harry was down here, but 150m??? That’s a lot of hubcaps!! 🙂

I’ve got drunk in Cardiff quite a few times…had a mate at Uni there so we used to pop down the M4 a few times to “visit” him… and abuse the student bars…
Actually, very funny story, we all went out one night and got absoultely hammered, staggered home at some ungodly hour as you do, and the whole house was woken up by a level of screaming you would normally associate with somebody being murdered, so we all started running around the house trying to find the source… turned out one of his uni buddies had literally fallen asleep in his kebab, woke up and went to the bathroom and was absolutly freaking out as all the kebab grease had stuck to his face and hardened up, making him look like that poor bugger in the original Robocop who got covered in that nuclear waste…there have been very few occassions where I’ve larffed as hard as that morning! 🙂 🙂 🙂

Neploean, as somebody who deals with Saudi’s on a regular basis, I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see them make a deal Pool can’t refuse… he would be the “man” there and it would make a huge statement for the Saudi’s… this whole Saudi League is just a willy-waving competition for them and they have both the money and the attitude to just keep throwing it around until they get what they want… they most certainly wouldn’t want to lose face with it being suggested they didn’t have enough…
I think the decision rests with Mo, if he wants to go they’ll stump on the cash…

Nepolean, hoping for a “#9” of some sort, Richy just isn’t cutting the musturd… as mentioned I like the look of that Orban fella but it seems the lad from Forest is the “favourite”… don’t fancy our chances of the lad from Barca, something tells me he’ll be more trouble than he’s worth (plus your lot will offer more wages anyway!)… other than that, “apples for apples” for the rest of them, sounds like a few more could be leaving us anyway (N-Dumb & Hodge-Podge seem to the favourites), maybe another CM type of player to replace them…

But you’re not wrong, Mav… our first 11 isn’t too shabby at the moment and playing quite well… as for the rest of ’em, I think last night told the story… very below average against a very average side, got better the more 1st teamers that came onto the pitch (altough Scarlett up top with Richy was about as threatening as a Granny carrying a sherry trifle, don’t want to see that “pairing” again!)… threw that game away from the start, should have started strong and taken off depending… only one more game before the international break.. they can’t be “fatigued” just yet…
