Can’t help feeling that will result in too many David’s & Goliath’s… the top 6/7 getter very much richer and everybody else not so…
Having said that, if it’s all “stremaed”, there might be something good on the telly rather than 15 channels of football…

I think the only thing left, ith regards to the additional revenue streams, is the possibiity that clubs basically own their own rights and sell to their own games… not a 100% sure how the “model” works in the US with baseball, but I know all the clubs get “x” amount from the biggies (FOX, ESPN etc…) but then they also sell the “right” to local stations on their own regions…
Not sure how that would equate regionally in the UK, although I suspect there would be “x” amount coming in from the communual pool and then clubs would probably sit up their own “on-line” pressence or something like that…
I wouldn’t have thought the “club world cup” would be worth the amount we would have to be talking about for the Glazers, for example, to hold out for 10b.
Or that “Euro” league is going to get brushed off again…

Right then, just saw the ADSC “goal”… I would be very pissed if that was given against me!!!
Anyway, transfer window is now shut, the mini “warm-up” league season before the 1st wonderful international break is over (for us Spuds anyway!)…
Overall quite happy. Sad Harry buggered off, but new manager, a few new players, a new style of football just about as opposite as possible to the previous manager and 10 points from 12 playing some very nice football in the process… could have been a hell of a lot worse!
30 more points to safty and I’m feeling quite confident we can pick enough points in the remaining 34 games!!

We’ve all said it before and no doubt will say it again, ADSC are a will run club, and as the Jammy Todgers have proved, it’s a lot more than just splashing cash, but let’s not pretend that ADSC haven’t spent billions and billions to get where they are at a time when they were the only club being able to spend billions and billions… it’s only one ingredient in the receipe for success but without a doubt it’s the largest and most important ingredient.

Looks like we’ve got Johnson for 45m… don’t think I’ve seen him kick a ball, certainly hasn’t kicked it well enough for me to remember anyway… oh well, time will tell!!
And Pool turned down 150m for Salah?? I know he’s as loved up there as Harry was down here, but 150m??? That’s a lot of hubcaps!! 🙂

I’ve got drunk in Cardiff quite a few times…had a mate at Uni there so we used to pop down the M4 a few times to “visit” him… and abuse the student bars…
Actually, very funny story, we all went out one night and got absoultely hammered, staggered home at some ungodly hour as you do, and the whole house was woken up by a level of screaming you would normally associate with somebody being murdered, so we all started running around the house trying to find the source… turned out one of his uni buddies had literally fallen asleep in his kebab, woke up and went to the bathroom and was absolutly freaking out as all the kebab grease had stuck to his face and hardened up, making him look like that poor bugger in the original Robocop who got covered in that nuclear waste…there have been very few occassions where I’ve larffed as hard as that morning! 🙂 🙂 🙂
