Why do I have a suspicion this isn’t quite over yet… hope it is for Pool’s sake, but I still think they should told Barca “Get us VVD and Keita, and you can have Wee Phil”. Pool wouls have a very nicely balanced side with that deal I reckon.

NB… no issues really with the Spud performance, naturally biased but I wouldn’t say in the realm of fairness, we deserved to lose that game, but lose we did. Just hoping for a bit of a tonking for Burnley (no offence to Burnley… I loved them in week 1!), just to get that monkey of our backs.

Annoyed with the result but not so much with the performance. I may be wrong but I’m pretty Hugo didn’t actually make a save during the match, they had two shots on target and got two bloody goals. My Spuds had the lions share of possession, but just didn’t quite click in the final third.

Get on the blower to Barca, tell them in no uncertain terms, you get us VVD from Saints and Katy from Redbull and we’ll give you Wee Phil. Give them all the headaches of sorting things out, and if it comes off, I do genuinely think you’d be better off with VVD and Katy in the team. Much, much more balanced I reckon!
