I reckon De Boer’s problem was the problem with many ex-players, got a cushty job at a club he know’s inside out, just happens to be the big-dog in a Yorkshire Terrier league, then uses that record to get a top job with a historically big club. Played his Mulligan card there so he only has a blemish with a small b on his record, gets given another opportunity with a mid-size club in arguably the most competitive league in Europe, discovers that being big-dog in a Yorkshire Terrier league is about as useful as an elephant gun in a Spider House.

I can think of 5 million reasons why I’m not too upset for him…. 🙂

I really don’t see how anybody can say Mane’s Kung-Fu today was anything other than dangerous play, full stop, and that’s a red-card. I think we all agree Mane wasn’t aiming for the goalie one little bit, but he had to know the goalie was likely to challenge for the ball also, didn’t he? Luckily for all involved, Eddy has only got a few scratches and a stitch or two by all accounts, could have got a stud in the eyeball, or even a broken neck in a worst case scenario.

Well, the Spud game fizzled out around the hour mark, nothing of real note in the last 30 minutes from either side. I see all the other big-dogs playing the 3 o’clock games got wins, all we need is a Stoke win (can’t really see it happening!) and the top of the table will look quite close again!

Davies was great (Rose might not be getting straight back in the team!) and Sanchez looked like he’d been there for a while. Looked solid with no frills, but he will certainly have sterner tests. Thought the Toffee’s had a bit more in their locker, to be honest, very average today.

Mikus… not saying for one minute Mane intended it, but that was almost a kick of karate proportions, with his foot about 7 foot in the air, and he did catch the keeper in the neck/throat region… and that has to come under “dangerous play” for me….
