Some serious debates within debates within debates breaking out, careful lads! 🙂
For what it’s worth, I also reckon Maureen showed a bit too much respect to Pool. I’m thinking when the majority of teams set out as defensively as YooUtd did, you’are almost admitting to yourself that the opposition is that good (or your that bad). Going away from the topic slightly, I also think chopping and changing your team is perhaps not as beneficial as keeping your team consistent. I think a lot of Spuds recent success is down to a more consistent formation, or even when changes are made, they are kept for a period. The Dortmund game does fly against that, but that was very much a one-off in my mind (although I do half expect the same tonight to be honest, as our mid-field isnøt exactly at it’s strongest right now!)
On a side note, are there any Micky Mousers playing for the Scousers? Not a Pool fan, granted, but I was having a hard time identifying them as a typical Pool side I remember from yesteryear…

Problem with Maureens “Bus” strategy this year is the very likely prospect that ManCity aren’t going to drop enough points of their own to make it worthwhile.
Off course, I can already hear Maureen at the end of the season, playing his “didn’t get enough resources/support from the board” record….
As for Klopp, at least he went for it for the first 70mins or so.

You’re probably right, but there’s no sign of this blockade ending soon. I know it’s a few years, but the Qataries weren’t exactly ahead of the “building” plan to start with. Could get very interesting in a year or two, especially if the big leagues start banging on about the winter schedule.
Typical FIFA move would probably be give it Russia again, as everything “is new and in place”! 🙂
