Nobody really seems to know about Hamstring Harry, I can see him starting on the bench just to be on the safe side. I’m thinking Poncho is going to go with the 5-3-2 we had at Real last week, with Son/llronte up top… but what do I know? 🙂

Not wrong mate, we had it in the bag and chucky-chucked-chucked it all away… and not just last night, but I’ve been very disappointed with Llrontte too this season, a nice little flick for the first goal but that was about it, he seems about as useful as Janssen was last year, mighy as well kept Janssen to see if there was any future…
At the end of the day, a bit annoyed, mainly from the shitty performance in the 2nd half, struggling to remember a half of footy that bad from the Spuds, it’s been a while for sure.

I wouldn’t blame Poncho for the performance too much, the boys controlled the game in the first half, and then fell asleep in the 2nd, no matter how much he shouted… not going to comment on his “worth it?” comments though.

Not going to disagree with what you say Goldie, but I reckon 7 changes from last Sunday in view of this Saturday’s match would indicate how “seriously” the boys at the Lane are taking this particular competition. (Not saying it’s my view mind you!).

I knew we might be in trouble when Noble went all Scrappy-Doo over the “throw-in” when Son went down with all the Spuds players kinda just laughing when the score was 2-0, you could see then only one team was fired up for it and it wasn’t us Spuds. I thought then if Spammers got the next goal we could be in for a game… hopefully this will be the kick up the Harris us Spuds need, stopping us from getting just a little bit too cocky with the last few results prior to last night.
Got to say fair play to the Spammers, deserved it 100%, but if I was a fan I would be wondering (after my hungover has gone down from winning a Cup-Final 🙂 ), why they don’t play like that more often!

The Spud vs Spam game is a bit of a picnic, Spuds in complete control, Spammers playing like a pub team… got a pre-season feel to it in a half-empty stadium… sorely tempted to just go to bed!

Nobody is ever going to win the Prem with the Ossie/Perm-man approach, how does it go? Strikers win you matches, defenses win you titles… I don’t think truer words were ever spoken!

I think there’s a lot of truth in what Yob says above. With the best will in the world, the German league is nowhere near as competitive as the Prem. In Germany, if you finish above Munich, your name is pretty much on the trophy, not quite the case here (mainly because Munich don’t play in the Prem! LOL). And that’s before you consider the considerably higher percentage of team in the Prem that are going to kick you Harris if you’re not on top of your game.

For pure entertainment value, I would love Giggsy Wiggsy to take over at the Foxes, that would be brilliant.
Although I would add it does peeve me off when celebrated players seem to think they should get a chance at a top flight club based on their paying career. (Although in Giggsy’s defence, he has said he would be prepared to drop a division or two if a suitable club came along…)

Am I the only one thinking the Mad Dutchman was trying to build a “Pepe” style of side with lot’s of “false” 9, nine, nine, nein? (See what I did there? 🙂 )
I reckon he was trying to emulate that Barca style by way of putting himself in the shop window… guess that backfired!
