Might not be “first game” status but I saw a game at the Lane, around 84ish, where Glennda not only won a 50/50 with Terry Butcher with poor Terrence being carried of the pitch, but Glennda then went on and scored a goal with his head! That puppy had 3 shredded wheat for breakfast that day!!

Not a fan at all. In fact, if it ain’t blue and white stripes I’m not interested at all. Anything with faces, dates, names, logos, or anything for that matter are frowned about in my house. Retro every day of the week for me!
Keep waiting for a proper decent “Uni” style scarf in the right (or white!) colors to come out, something you can wear without needing a shell suit!

Boxing Day, 79 (or maybe 80?), a Christmas Prezzie trip to the Lane, a 4-4 draw with Southampton! Can’t remember who scored, but Spuds were losing at half-time and I was sulking, got my own bag of chips, with a wolley, to cheer me up! Happy days…..

I wish I could remember where but I read an interesting article about this Catalonia mess, from the viewpoint of all the other “regions” across the EU that have been kicking around this independence idea, there was about 17 of them, including but not limited too the Brittany region in France, the Flemish region in and around Belgium, something in Northern Italy, a posse in Austria, and a few more that I can’t remember (the Scots were in there too!).
I really can’t see the EU going along with it, as if one goes, there’s going to be a few more following (also explains why May has to say NO!, considering the Scots angle).

The thing that grinds my gears with the History boys, is you don’t get fans of clubs that were dominating before the late 70’s whining about being back where they belong. Only seems to be the history boys complaining about their “so-called” rights.
As for the game itself, I love it, I don’t love it, ignore it, get obsessed by it, depending on the mood/weather/result… 🙂

The Gooner is a goner, no doubt… the only plus side I would think somebody at City is likely to get peeved (I know 250 grand a week to sit on the bench isn’t the worst way to live) about a lack of playing time…. I really don’t want to know what Pepe is doing in training to keep everybody happy!
Could be a bargain to be had, but then again, I would think whoever leaves is going abroad to a sunny place….
