I don’t think he’ll be out of work for long, might be a good fit for Bone Say Boys if they get the hacksaws out… and I think we all think Tommy Tickle is going to end up at YooUtd… Micky Mousers hotseat is taken… and I think Poncho’s semi-decent finish to the season buys him another one…

Player of the season: Probably have to agree…
Signing of the season: Palmer… signing Rice was a no-brainer, just needed the checkbook…
Worst signing of the season: Ciacedo… ego bigger than his wallet. Mount, to be fair, was injured for most of it…
Best breakthrough season: Palmer… easy.
Manager of the season: Emery… easy.
Game of the season: Spuds vs Jammy Todgers… I know we lost but WHAT A GAME!! Had it all.
Scumbag of the season: VAR or 115… can’t make my mind up.
Flops of the season: Jammy Todgers… all that money and all those players? YooUtd a very close 2nd but have had an exceptionally bad run of injuries.

It still all comes down to objective…. your black and white decisions… did the ball go over the line, that’s a yes or no… offside, again, should be a yes or no…. inside ot outside the peno box, easy enough… anything else it all comes down to a matter of opinion regardless of how many angles or slo-mo’s… was there enough contact for a foul? You can’t really tell, only if there was contact or not… and we all know gravity has a different effect depending on where you are on the pitch…

Still say half to problem is players/managers bascially cheating and pushing the rules past their limits, but I would still like to see VAR scrapped…

Perfect example… fisrt half against the 115 on Monday… the ball very clearly went out for a “corner” but the ref gave a goal kick… Madders looked “mad” and KDB looked a bit “sheepish”… but was he honest about it? Played the game in the right spirit? Of course he didn’t… (and yes, I’m sure the Spud players would have done exactly the same thing if the boot was on the other end of the pitch!)

All we can do is look forward to the day Pepe leaves… as the Jammy Todgers and YooUtd have proven over the last few years, it does take more than just bucket loads of cash (cheating or not) and he is he secret sauce that gets them that little bit extra….

The end result might be a bit boring, but in the context of “marketing the brand” like what Nil mentioned, we’ve got the slaveowners from the Middle East taking form of the Daft Vadar and his Deaf Star, with all rest of us Ewoks battling away to step from underneath the boot of tyranny… you look at the sausage league, sure the Curse of Harry may have messed it up this year, but 13 years straight (or whatever it was), how many of those races had two horses in it?

Prem is still #1 for excitement and drama, no doubt about it.

Don’t think the league is dead at all… sure, the 115 might end up top of the pile, and while they still have 115 charges of being scumbags hanging over them nobody takes them seriously, but they’ve been given a good run for their money on more than a few occassions (and let’s face it, they haven’t bought it yet)….

If they were buying it year in year out by 10 plus points I would be worried…
