They should never had bought Haaland… he is undoubtedly an excellent finisher, but that is all he brings to the table, and he has totally unbalanced the team, most of whom have seemingly “hit-the-wall” all at the same time… sure, Rodhri is a big miss, but they’re going to need more than him and 3 players in Jan to turn this around…and will Pep hang around long enough for a proper re-build?

CM… I agree… it all goes in cycles, a “top” team lasts mybe 3/4 years before it needs a rebuild, and the non-Prem leagues, due to the big-dogs getting greedy with the TV money, have the same 2/3 clubs taking it in turns, with all the rest never really getting a chance… then you have the Prem, with a lot of clubs with 40/50k stadiums, a far more even distribution of TV (and the introduction of those scummy “new-money” clubs), have 6/7/8 clubs to cycle through that 3/4 year period, hence the much larger gap in titles.

CM… all to do with TV distribution money, cyber chum… I think it’s fair to say the “Champions” always tend to be those at the top of the tree with regards to cashflow… all other Leagues do not dish it out even remotely competitively compared to the Prem…. so every year the German/Spanish/French Leagues have the same teams with the biggest turnover battling them out.. that’s why you’ve never get Barca, Real, Munich, PSG (now) going 10 plus years without a pot.. whereas England, better distributed, and it’s easy to loos ground when the likes of the new money clubs show up, or another club builds a good team..
Losing 10% performance of your team in the Prem will lose you places… not so much in the rest of Europe.

Certainly amusing when Pool fans are the only fans who wouldn’t want to be in the position Pool are actually in… 🙂
Goonies will be up come the end of the season… but, from the few games I’ve seen them play, I’m not sure they’ll win enough games to win the title, they’re not blowing teams away all the time, and one the men in black cotton on to the Dark Arts at corners and set-pieces, I think they’ll come unstuck
It’s those Jammy Todgers who are the real dark horses, they’re 2 billion 200 player 5 manager splurge has finally found them with a manager who has managed to find a pretty decent starting 11 and they were never going to be short on players for the bench… (still can’t work out how they’ve got away with it!)
I reckon thats the Top 3… but it will be Pool, Todgers & Goonies in that order… as for 4th? That really is a guess…
