Liverpool are the better team throughout the first period. I didn’t realise they were the away team until i heard it from the commentator. That is the best 45 min i have seen Lovren play. And that is down to the fact that Liverpool have restricted Arsenal to their own half. Liverpool could have been 3-0 up by half time.

Liverpool are by far the best team on the night. And can you imagine they are the away team? I had to check twice to make sure that Arsenal are at home. I don’t know why he has picked Iwobi ahead of Walcot when you are looking for to match the pace of Liverpool. Iwobi is slowing down Arsenal attacks.

I don’t we should be using Video throught the game. We will only use for instances where ww have a penalty decision. Or when a player is fouled and looks dangerous. How will that undermine the referee? I think it compliments rather than undermine him. Also we will use where the offside is given but the referee have doubts.

Pagan- its not only Cheating that should have to be weeded out. dangerous tackles has to be weeded out also. tackles that endanger player’s safety and career has to be taken out. for instance i don’t think if there is any problem for a ref to revisit a video evidence before he sends off a player for a dangerous tackle. instead of banning them retrospectively. because that won’t help the aggrieved club. just say an example of that could have been, if the ref has had a video evidence that Penalty wouldn’t have been awarded, which would have been a fair decision for Stoke than banning that player retrospectively.

The only solution here is the refereeing consistency. just for instance, Pogba was sent off for a challenge similar to the one Alli has made on De Bruyne. and yet Alli was let off the hook, Sadio Mane was sent off for a high boot challenge and yet Harry Kane was let off the hook. Fabregas was sent off but Crouch was let off the hook, Cahill and Luiz was sent off but Dier was let off the hook. unless those inconsistencies are solved, there won’t be any agreement. that is why a ref should have a video evidence before he makes a decision.

According to the papers today, Chelsea have identified four players they want to sign in January. Thomas Lemar from Monaco, Alex Sandro from Juventus, VVD from Southampton and Ross Barkley from Everton. of the four players, only two are great, I have never been a fan of Barkley, because i feel he is over hyped by the English media. VVD is not bad but i think his conduct at Southampton has a lot to be desired. plus we have David Luiz and Christensen as our central CB, if we are to sign him, then he won’t be sitting on the bench. and i don’t think any Chelsea fan would entertain the idea of benching Christensen for any defender in the world right now. Alex Sandro will be a welcome addition. Alonso is tired to the death and his performances show that. plus signing him would allow us to play back four. Thomas Lemar is a very good wide left footed attacker whom we lack in our squad. i hope we don’t make the mistake of selling Willian. i would rather sell Pedro and replace him with Lemar. so a front 3 for Willian/ Lemar – Morata – Hazard will be deadly strike force.

The only problem is the consistency here. If the retrospective bans are consistent. Then here will always be common agreement that divin has to be eradicated from football. Expect more clubs to feel hard done.

I suggested there was no enough contact with Pogba when he won that freekick. And in line with the new rules. It should merit a revisit. Rules should not be applied selectively that was my point.

999- I think £150m is still way short of what his true valuation is. i would rather demand £180m or just say £150m plus a player. and that only applies to the outside PL clubs. in the PL i would say £500m.

Plus i would also add the style of play that Mourinho favours wouldn’t appeal to Hazard. because Hazard made that confession last season when we switched to 3-4-3. he said ” I’m enjoying my football thanks to the formation that Antonio Conte has deployed. i’m now playing closer to Diego and the goal. in the past i had to dribble past 2/3 players which was hard. but now i have less tracking back which was the case in previous seasons. i concentrate on attacking, scoring goals and making assists”

Ok assuming that the Rumours that United is offering £90m whilst Real Madrid is offering £170m for Hazard are both true. which one would you think Chelsea would entertain? although i would expect Chelsea to put a fight to keep Hazard as much as possible. but if ultimately Hazard wants to move, then how is it possible that one of our rivals and a bitter one plus him being ex Manager who has been saying some unsavory things about our club would offer half of what Real Madrid is offering and expect to sign him? if you add all those dots you will think that, its either baseless or wind up.
As for Madrid wanting him. i don’t think if they will get him on the cheap. now that CR7 is threatening to quit if they bring Neymar or Hazard. which means Real Madrid will be desperate to sign him, and we can demand £200m. or just say £150m plus Isco /Assensio either. then we can reinvest that money back to the team.

I can’t see Hazard wanting to join United. if he decided not to join them when Six Alex was in charge. and we all know the history between him and Mourinho. that is totally nonsense and that price? may be £300m could tempt Roman if the deal is United. and i can’t see Hazard wanting to leave London for Manchester either. i suspect if he decides it will be in Spain and Real Madrid will be his preferred destination.
@999, I think both of us agree the need to keep Hazard. but i beg to differ with you on the Asensio one. i would rather have Isco over him. Isco is more closer to him than Asensio. Isco has technical ability like Hazard. and what we want is that a player who can take on the opposition defenders like Hazard. and IMO Isco fits that bill than Asensio. but i may be wrong and you may be right. but if either player we get will have my support.

So RealMadrid wants Eden Hazard at all costs next summer. i think its always tough to keep him from their clutches once they go all out for a target. but in this case Chelsea have all the cards. if push comes to shove then i suspect he will break the transfer record next summer. for instance £100m plus Isco isn’t bad for me. Isco can at least do half of what Eden was doing for us. and i also noticed that Isco is a very good dribbler as well as he has an eye for goal and killer pass.
