21st February 2018 at 6:52 pm in reply to: The Summer Transfer Window – Early days but important #16192Personally getting Casemiro makes sense for us.him and Kante will form a formidable partnership at the heart of our midfield. and we can with stand at any pressure. i think Chelsea should include him at any deal that takes Courtois to Madrid. as i can’t see him at Chelsea. if your kids live there, you will want to be there.

21st February 2018 at 6:43 pm in reply to: Champions League: "It's a Knockout" Stage (Goonies need not apply) #16189Tell me which English team plays Barcelona and dominates the possession? United played two finals which one was at Wembley and we know how that has gone. we will never match them in possession, and you can’t beat Barcelona in their own game. the same with City and Arsenal. some here are talking as if their clubs have out played Barcelona before. we know Barcelona’s record at the PL clubs. even the great Real Madrid goes on the defence when they are facing them. even Pep has to ditch his favoured possession game to beat them. that is the only way you can beat Barcelona.

21st February 2018 at 11:23 am in reply to: Champions League: "It's a Knockout" Stage (Goonies need not apply) #16148I can’t also remeber any clear cut chances that Barca has created other than the one they scored and which was as a result of our own mistake. Big teams will punish you if you make a mistake simple. It was a very tight game. But ita good that those who were rushing to predict a heavy defeat for us. Now say we played well. Although we never had a chance !

21st February 2018 at 11:15 am in reply to: The Summer Transfer Window – Early days but important #16147Zidane will be worth twice what Neymar is worth in today’s market. Besides that in a market where De gea is worth £80m, Asensio cannot leave for £133m. I think the Hazard fee is justified IMO. Coutinho has left for £146m. This is first season Neymar is the talisman at a top club. Let us see how he delivers. Its easy to hide behind Leo Messi and perform. But that said its the market inflation that is the result of the price. If Asensio cannot leave for the £133m that Liverpool has tabled in January. Then Hazard should be £200m simple. And just to remind you between Neymar and Hazard there is only 12 month age gap. Hazard born on 07-01-1991. Neymar born on 05-02-1992.?

21st February 2018 at 8:27 am in reply to: The Summer Transfer Window – Early days but important #16132But that that was equivalent to what PSG has paid for Neymar. thick back the clock to 2000/01 and you will see the £46m that Madrid paid for Zidane was unheard of it was a world record fee. and many were saying at the time that it will take some beating to break that record. 17/18 years later. we are talking about a quarter of a billion as the world record. it shows a lot of depreciation in the money. i think what PSG has paid for Neymar is equivalent of what Madrid has paid for Zidane in 2001. both them had been records in their respective time. and i think that is my point.

20th February 2018 at 10:49 pm in reply to: The Summer Transfer Window – Early days but important #16126You are forgetting that when Real paid a world record fee for Zidane, he was 29 years old( born  23 June 1972). joined them August 2001. for a while he was the most expensive player in the world. when they bought Figo from Barcelona, he was 3 months away from 28 (  born 4 November 1972), joined them August 2000. when they bough Beckham from United, he was 28 years ( born 2 May 1975 ) and joined August 2003. do your maths.  £46m was at the time equivalent to the £200m that PSG has paid for Neymar today.

To be honest, i was hearing a heavy defeat tonight. but they got their prediction wrong. we are still in it. the good thing is that Barcelona doesn’t go defensively. i was disappointed that Fabregas wasn’t replaced early. he was tired. playing from the back cost us tonight.

20th February 2018 at 10:24 pm in reply to: Champions League: "It's a Knockout" Stage (Goonies need not apply) #16122We never had a chance in the first place. if you had to believe the analysts and the pundits. all of them were rushing to predict a heavy defeat for Chelsea. so 1-1 was a surprise scoreline. i will just watch and see what happens in the second leg. i guess they will still be predicting another big defeat for Chelsea.

20th February 2018 at 3:18 pm in reply to: The Summer Transfer Window – Early days but important #16063I would love this saga to be put to bed finally this summer. if we have to retain him, he should sign a new 5 year contract. if he wants to leave. then the door is wide open. player is bigger than Chelsea. if Real Madrid want him, then they should bid him this summer. if they don’t bid this summer, and he doesn’t sign a new contract. we should go ahead with our plans. will he be part of our plans if he doesn’t leave and doesn’t sign a new contract? i think that is tough decision for the management and the board to make. but i would say no. if the are to learn something from the Sanchez saga, then we need to tell him to make his mind before he plays for the team. Arsenal let Sanchez play without resolving his contract. and its United who are reaping the rewards. Sanchez is fit and in good shape thanks to Arsenal. can we afford to do similar? i don’t think so. Courtois i think will leave this summer. because i think his kids live there. but if he decides to sign and then include a buyout clause. then its even better. we need to search for a new keeper whilst we are trying to resolve the Hazard dispute.

20th February 2018 at 11:13 am in reply to: The Summer Transfer Window – Early days but important #16038Now there reports that are circulating in the press today. according to the reports, Chelsea have submitted an offer for Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro who they view as the ideal partner to Ngolo Kante. and the reports add that this deal has blessings of Roman Abrahamovic. i don’t know what to say about this. i have mixed feelings about this deal also. so if we sign Casemiro where does that leave for Bakayoko? on current from we won’t even salvage half of what we have paid for. and if we buy big money with Casemiro he would be a guaranteed starter. and if Bakayoko doesn’t play his value will decrease. tough decision lie for Chelsea. but that said i will welcome Casemiro has he will give us another dimension.

20th February 2018 at 10:42 am in reply to: The Summer Transfer Window – Early days but important #16036But you could also question why Real Madrid thinks Asensio is worth £643m? i think Hazard is worth that because of his past experience and his ability. while Alli isn’t yet worth that. because he is not in that level yet. very simple. you wanted to compare those players based on stats. and that is what i was against. yes in 3-5 years time Alli will be in Hazard’s level or may be better. but for now no comparison.

20th February 2018 at 10:20 am in reply to: The Summer Transfer Window – Early days but important #16033But you take in to account that teams don’t mark him like Hazard. and besides that he has never led a title winning team. so your comparison is irrelevant. ask most manager who they will prefer. and they will tell you Hazard 9/10. teams prepare for Hazard when they are facing Chelsea. but Alli? stats can sometimes be misleading. i’m not a believer of the stats. luckily i watch both players every week. and i know who will walk in to Real Madrid team. Hazard will walk in to every team.

20th February 2018 at 9:47 am in reply to: The Summer Transfer Window – Early days but important #16027and you don’t take in to account that Hazard missed half of our 2015/16 season and hasn’t started a game until October this season. also Alli isn’t marked like teams mark with Hazard. i doubt if Alli would score if teams had one or two players marking him every game.
