Only God knows how much Jorginho needed that goal! Now let us see how the vultures react to that wonderfully taken goal. Booing has energized him. I hope they boo him if we will get that kind of a goals from him everytime?.

Well Sarri has become the cat with nine lives. Everytime the vultures circle around him, he weathers the storm. Both of our pevious bosses would have struggled to weather the storm he has weathered. Which shows that he is better suited to this Chelsea head coach role. Because he is calm and talks less in public at least.
All of that was cooked by the media. Credit to the board for not falling for the media drama. He is 7 points off 3rd placed Spurs with 2 games in hand as i type this. And he has the Europa league as a safety net also. If we go on a run now until April, i see no reason why we can’t make in the top4. We will also have our say in the title race as we are to visit Anfield. Personally i’m more sympathetic to Liverpool than City at the minute. I would rather see Liverpool lift than City. Partly because of my wife. As it will give her something to cheer?.
Otherwise we have Fulham to negotaite with today. A win for us today will narrow the Arsenal gap to 1 and we will narrow the gap to United to 2, and we will narrow the gap to Spurs to 5 points. And with a game in hand also. Play Giroud up top. And put in more crosses. Would prefer Loftus Cheek over others in the 3rd midfield slot as othet other two are already nailed. Alonso for this game now. Willian over Pedro will be good as Pedro played 90 minutes on Wednesday. Come on you blues! Do the job. Everything is yet to be decided. Top4 , the title, the Europa, the relegation. Interesting season. Credit goes to Liverpool for challenging City this season.

Can’t see City missing points here. Surprised that United are 0-1 down at home. But i expect them to resume normal service. Spurs were very lucky today. A few of their lads would have been given their marching orders. Let us see what action the FA take from their favorite son Kane? Second time he is attempting to head butt an opponent. Arsenal fully deserved the points. They should feel hard done by poor refereeing. 3 Spurs players were in an offside position.

Important win for Liverpool and important draw for Spurs. Both clubs through to the knockout by the flesh of their skin congratulations to them. I’m relieved not to face more English teams in the Europa although Napoli cannot be taken lightly.
I have to say i will be lying if i say that am not disgusted with the Van Dijk horrific tackle. I don’t know how the referee missed it.

Racism in all forms should have zero tolerance. I’m glad the club has taken it seriously. Credit to Sterling for brushing it off. I hope those idiots face life bans and jail terms. You can’t racially abuse Sterling and celebrate the Kante goal. And we have some black legends. Drogba, Cole, Ramirez,Kante, Essien, Makkalele,Willian and Rudiger. Our team is diverse. No need to damage the image of the club. After the JT moment of madness, the Paris Metro. We cannot afford more negative media coverage. It has soared our victory. But i commend the club and the police for acting quick and decisively.?

Well, I’m speechless. it was a result that I wasn’t expecting. but credit to the boys for putting a shift today. I was happy for David Luiz, after his horror show at Spurs, he has redeemed himself. everyone put a shift today from Hazard to Azpi to Alonso to Luiz to Kante to Jorginho to Kovecic to Willian to Pedro. City were the better team. but happy to take the points and move on. it’s baffling that we lost to Wolves and beat the best team in the league.

Somehow i lost my password in TT, that is why i don’t post in TT anymore. Besides that, City plays superior football to anyone in the league not only Chelsea. And you will also find Spurs are Not saints.

Well, I’m downbeat about this game, City is the favourites, and they are rightfully so given their form this season. I’m expecting very little from this game. we had a problem which we knew. and it had been there since last season. but somehow I’m surprised how we haven’t addressed it. this is season will always be a transition for sure. whatever we achieve will be a bonus. we have reached the maturity stage now. we needed to rebuild the team. because we lost several influential players. Lampard, JT, Cech, Cole, Drogba, and our recent losses, Courtois, Costa and Matic. we have a new manager who is completely new to the picture. for this reason, I’m surprised at how well we have performed. I was expecting setbacks after all. if we are to take anything from that game, we need to get and stick to our game plan 100%. it will not be easy facing the best attack in the league. but I have some hope however little it is.

Regarding the Lamela situation, it was very poor from John Moss not to stop the game immediately as less serious action had been stopped and it was a head injury also? The referee was obliged to stop the game immediately there. He has underestimated the situation. Refs need to take a training when such situations happen they could handle it well. I don’t think it was deliberate from Moss’s point view. It was more of ill judgement from his part in which he thought Lamela was faking some injury to disrupt the Palace momentum which was building at the time if the injury.

I think the Manchester derby is a tough one to predict. Whilst my heart says a City win is on the cards. My conscious is telling me United is out to surprise the few of the bookies as they did last season. If he brings back Lukaku, they are finished. But if he plays Rashford – Sanchez – Martial, they will have enough to cause a problem to City. Plus play Mata in one of the 3 mids to exploit the gaps that Silva leaves when he joins the attack. Come on you United! You are carrying the weight of the entire PL on your shoulders. The best form of defence is attack.

Ed
The CL, United will progress comfortably as they will have enough to beat Valencia and Young boys which will guarantee their qualification. But the PL is a different story.

If i was a City fan, would just sit and enjoy the season. On current form City should be running away with the game. But you can’t rule out an upset. But the way City is playing now. I wouldn’t be too keen to face them. This game will be attack vs defense. And chances will be few and far. Mourinho will not be stupid to open up away to City. The referee will have little impact on this game. The onus will be on City to break them down.

What terrible way to start your toughest fixture of the season. Only to score an own goal?

People said Ronaldo doesn’t enough for Real Madrid. I hope now they have seen what he does. Can’t even buy a goal. Their first mistake was signing Courtois, because his flaws were covered by the two teams he had played for before, Athletico played cautious football, whilst Chelsea under Mourinho and Conte played similar football to Athletico. But at Real Madrid its different. I won’t be surprised if they go for De Gea and Hazard this summer.

Congrats Ed, like wise i had tied the knot this summer which was the reason why i had stayed away from posting for a good number of months. Anyway there are more important things than football and family comes first.

I think Bournemouth is in the form of their lives this season. And their front 3 are deadly as SFM of Liverpool had been last season. And with that United defence, and coupled that with the fact that these game is played away. Bournemouth has a good chance. Especially if they score first or 0-0 at halftime. They are under no pressure to win this game. All pressure is on United to win. Wilson looks a decent striker one that we should grab in January Nine?.
As for Wolves vs Spurs. Am going for a 0-0 draw if Kane doesn’t find his shooting boots soon. But with the return of Eriksen. They should create enough whether they take their chances is another matter.
Arsenal vs Liverpool is an exciting game. One that promises goals. With Liverpool’s defence being second meanest defence, and the Arsenal attack being joint second best attack. It will be interesting to see how the two teams approach this game. I would go for 2-2 draw IMO.
And then we have the Sunday fixtures. Let us see what they bring. Palace always suprises us. But a win is nailed for City. And a better goal difference there.
Here is honest question for the Editor. Why has the score predictor suspended if i may ask?

Am 200% certain that we will improve from that performance in the next round. It was one off in my opinion. And the emotion played its part. But thankfully we have progressed. Other than that you are right we can’t count our chickens before they hatch.

That is if Spurs go past their traditional bogey team. You can bet with me on that. If Arsenal play full string, then Spurs are gone. Pray that Emery plays second string. But with Spurs we are very safe. Wembley is our second home these days?. We have only lost 3 out of last 10-15 appearances there.
