another two goals for Abraham. our defence seems to have improved with the introduction of Tomori. kudos to Lamps for spotting that. still Barkley is not playing to his potential for me. he has been killing our attacks.

I don’t seem to remember the Chelsea pitch owners being an issue to our stadium redevelopment plans. I thought the issue has more to do with Roman’s visa and not the Pitch owners. as long as this visa issue is standing, our stadium plans would in doubt.

I have nothing to say other than I have massive respect for you Brain. you absolutely deserve an award for your loyalty to the club. this tradition is rarely found in the game these days. I hope the City board takes note of your loyalty and organize a birthday party for you next time.

I agree with the human elements of the VAR should improve. however, no one seems to say exactly how that should be done. for example, some are suggesting the relaxing of the rules. and when you do that, you will have another group who will always be unhappy should the ball touch the arm and a goal is scored on the process. so getting that balance between operating with the VAR and not taking the passion from the game is still elusive.
I’m firmly in the camp that believes, the VAR should be used about the contested incidents, not like it is used this time.

That is best 45 minutes Zouma has had this season. he was beast there and won many duels than he has lost. if he continues like that Lampard will have a good problem. also, our left-back is impressing me each passing day.

I think the Ref made the correct decision with the goals as per the letter of the law. and to the best of my knowledge, every club had a representative those meetings where the rule changes were made. and may have given their blessings before the rules were changed. so if the law states that when a ball touches an arm/hand and results in a goal or an assist, that goal would be disallowed. the clubs give their consent without contesting those decisions. then we should accept the result.
City has themselves to blame for this draw, they have dominated this game throughout. and created a host of chances to win the game. they had the match under control for most parts. and conceded silly goals. but take nothing away from Spurs, they have defended very well and hit City on the break. they have worked for the point. and it will be a good point for them.
I have watched Southampton trouble Liverpool this afternoon. and I have to say the number of chances they had created was surprising given how dominant had Liverpool been in the last few months. I understand it’s early days, but mind you that they lost the title to City thanks to their large number of draws, and that costly draw at Everton was the highlight.
Arsenal seems to be grinding out of results at the minute. exactly the sort of things you would want early in the campaign when most of the players lack match sharpness. I can see them being right up there with the rest in the race for the top 4.
And finally, I hope we bounce back from our heavy defeat of last Sunday and beat Leicester. and if by any means we should the spirit we have shown against Liverpool. we would have a good chance. but I would never underestimate Leicester. they still possess some good players who can hurt us. looking forward to Lampard’s first match at home. I would be an emotional one given his close ties with the fan base, and his assistant also being a forme blue. the atmosphere would be buzzing one. and I would hope that won’t distract us from our mission which is to claim all 3 points.

I hope we don’t rush Rudiger in a panic. with our recent leaky defense, he is our only hope to tighten that backline. if he is not ready, we should be patient with him. besides that, whilst fragile still Zouma has improved from his previous performance, and mind you it was Liverpool the second-best team in the league. so in the sense, I see a light in the tunnel. the more games he plays the more confidence he gains. and playing a not fully fit not only hurts his long term fitness, but it also will not be helpful to the team. he is our most senior CB as at now. and we need to keep him fit.

Both Liverpool and City are at the peak of their prowess at the minute, and I would also add Spurs to some extent. both Arsenal and United are building some interesting squad. on the other hand, Chelsea is taking a different approach, for the time we are having one of our own as a manager, we are also having many youth players who are made at Chelsea going straight to our starting line up, something that we have all yearned for other the years. and while this project is exciting, there will always be challenges, ups, and downs. patience will be tested on the process, even the strongest faithful fans will be tested. but once we are through with that, I’m certain we will have the last laugh.
But until that, I pray that God gives us the strength and patience to see the light of this project. and many of us, especially the younger generation myself included will have a very time in adjusting into this period I’m sure. but what we stand to gain is much more important.

I’m not someone who likes to moan about the ref’s decision. whether it was in favor or against us. after all, that kind of things happen. and it won’t change the outcome of the game. but even if it had changed, they still checked the VAR and agreed with it. so I don’t know what other decision was there to be taken. i like to respect the ref’s decision. if a team beats us, then i assume they deserved more than we deserved. and when it goes to penalties. it’s between who can keep their nerves. credit to Liverpool for keeping their nerves cooler. although i was seeing reports in the press today that Adrian was out of his line when he saved the penalty from Abraham. but those kinds of things is irrelevant to me. once the game is over the team that wins deserves. and after 120 of a fair contest, Liverpool deserved for scoring all of their penalties.
But there was another issue that was put under the carpet. i was reading from somewhere today that Tammy Abraham was racially abused. i don’t know which side. but he had been abused according to kick it out. and that seems to become a problem in football these days. i hope those who have done it be found, shamed and banned for life whichever club they support.

It’s irrelevant if it was a penalty or not now. there are winners and losers now. and for the first time, I’m pleased as the losing side. I normally don’t like my team to be on the losing, but that performance last night was one hell of a performance. and I would hope the team to play like that. I would also hope that Penalty miss motivates Abraham to even greater heights this season.
As for Pulisc and Mount? I would play both of these players together on Sunday. they would compliment each other. in my opinion. with Kante and Jorginho as the two holding midfielders. with Mount as the furthest forward. Pedro and Pulisic on both flanks. with Giroud up top, and in the second half. Abraham to be thrown in.

Well, first congratulations to the Liverpool fans here. we have given our best until the end. and I won’t say you never deserved this win. but we have given you a run for your money. I wish my team should play like that every week. because the Chelsea I saw today was a different class to the one that played at the weekend. I also hope that penalty miss won’t have an effect on Abraham psychologically. the boy has been excellent.
anyway, it’s not a shame to lose to a Liverpool side who is at the top of their game right now. not many teams would come close to them at the minute. but what is still hurting me is the United defeat though.

Good luck to Hazard in his new challenge. many players has played and left but the club stood. i appreciate his services to the club. you don’t get more than 6 years from skillful players, but got more at least 7. so at 28 the time was right for him to seek a new challenge. likewise the time is also right for the club to build a new look side. i will be interested to know who our team will be built around. if that is CHO, then that means a long term solution. give him the no 10 shirt and 8 year contract. for the last two seasons since we lost Costa, we become completely dependent on Hazard for goals. so let us now focus someone else. a new core of mostly young English players had been emerging towards the business end of last season. RLC,CHO and Barkley. as well as Rudiger and Kepa could form the back bone of the team in post Hazard era. and we also have Pulsic and Abraham to add.
Now our next focus should be to conclude this Sarri uncertainty. if he is keen to leave just release and appoint his successor in days. we can’t afford managerial uncertainty for the second summer in a row.
The fact that the club have appealled from the transfer ban to CAS suggest they have a clear picture about who will be in charge and will dip in to market. to get one or two signing mostly RB i think as Azpi is showing signs of decline. and centre forward now that Higuain has left. there are no indications that Kovacic formed any part of the Hazard deal. i’m led to believe it was a straight cash upfront. and there is no mention of his future. i wouldn’t be too keen to take Asensio either as we have a total of four wingers.
One boy from Lille excites me. Nicolas Pepe is doing fine in france. and the last time we had done business with Lille. it was an ispired one. infact our only flop from that league in recent times was Bakayoko. Drogba, Essien, Azpi and Hazard were all from there. and him plus CHO on both flanks would be a nightmare for any fullback. pace and trickery will be in abundant. also Christensen has shown this season whilst fragile he could be relied on. the more games he played the more solid he was so no need for a CB. a leftback and right back should Alonso and Zappacosta leave.
and i beg your pardon for my rants there. i know there aren’t that much Chelsea guys here. ?

Well i have to say big hats off to Liverpool. they played with pride and passion tonight. and totally outclassed Barcelona. and they fully deserved to go through. well done boys. the CL is all yours to lose. may be that softens the possibility of losing the PL title?.

Nine
I disagree with you there! i still believe we will finish above them. we have the momentum and advantage. whereas they are missing some key players.

Now feeling very calm. after a very nervy campaign. top4 secured now. now our next mission is to reach the EL final. then next is a small matter to secure in top3 finish. our CL participation is 99% guaranteed now. we only have one mission. just to deny our North London neighbors CL participation next season. i would love that to happen. and many Spurs fans would agree with me?.
Maurizio Sarri has now done his primary job which was to return the team in to the CL fold. even though some of the so called football football experts called for his sacking. but he still has the last laugh. Neville, Carra, Hoddle, Owen, Shearer and many others have written off Chelsea’s top4 hopen. what a time to pay them back! now let me see how those pundits react. their next story will ve how will Chelsea cope without Hazard?

I had a rare weekend out amd it never disappointed. 3-0 win against Watford, one of our top 4 rivals dropping points and another team getting knocked fromhe race. if we finish in top4 as we are looking to do. it puts the so called football experts on the spotlight. as late as March no football pundit had Chelsea in their top 4 list. and all had United in their list.

Well, our friends from North London keep giving us opportunities to knick third place. but i don’t know what the hell is wrong with our players. Drogba, Lamps, JT would have taken this offer long ago. anyway i hope we grab this opportunity finally after resisting those temptations for some time now?.
This is the most crazy top 4 season i could remember as far as i’m concerned. even the title race is very interesting this season. the worrying is the huge gap between the third and the second. 23 points is not a small gap.

Would love to see Liverpool nick this title race. not because i like Liverpool over this City team. but because i want to see a new PL champion. City win will make it a monopoly. believe me, i’m not a City hatter. on the contarary iove warching them. but this time i want Liverpool to win it. just to make it more competitve. as for the top 4? as many has said, non of the 3 teams who are competing are having a geeat season by their usual standards. and that is a disappiontment to the league.
