Thanks Lucky, but what i still don’t get is that the figures i saw today, are they what United has spent since Ferguson has left and what Chelsea has spent since Roman Abrahamovic bought the club? that is where i’m having some confusion. because there is no way that we have spent 897 million pounds since Ferguson left United. that is where i need clarification. if my suspicion is confirmed. then the problem is not the managers that United had been sacking. the problem is Woodward.

If true and the figures are correct. then United need to fire Woodward as soon as the season is over. he is a terrible business man. how can you spend that much in 6 years and still not be anywhere near winning the league?

It’s true we deserved to get something from that game today. all of our games par the United and Leicester game in the second half was where we didn’t deserve to get something from a match. and if we continue to play like that with less mistakes. we will be in a good position for sure.

Anyway it’s done and dusted now. and congratulations for your record win. anyway apologies to the Liverpool lads i have no ill feelings towards your club, some of the comments i made was made in the heat of the moment. and i was frustrated at the time. hopefully you enjoy your football. you have a very good lead and less injuries compared to your rivals, although they have more cash reserves than.
And by the way, i was today i skysports that Chelsea and United has 5 million separating them in terms of spending. i was shocked because i was Chelsea has spent 897 million pounds, and United has spent 892 pounds since Ferguson has left or what? can someone confirm to me that?

I said Liverpool did enough to win the game.their defence was better organized than ours. i wouldn’t say our defence was terrible. but we were very sloppy in the early parts of the game. Liverpool had Van Dijk to calm things while we lacked that Terry leadership at the back. plus they had Fabinho who was breaking up all Chelsea play, combine that with Matip who is also a senior figure.
But you are right, once we get all of our players back. and we settle, we will be a good team. scoring goals is not our problem. defending is.

I’m not talking about where you don’t deserve. you deserved or not is not the issue. after 90 minutes you did enough to take the 3 points. and that is why i congratulated you. what i was talking about was all of the 50-50 decision went in your favour. and that can sometimes make the difference. ask Ferguson.

After giving you so much do you still go after the ref? you couldn’t get what you get from even the worst of referees today. anyway congratulation for your win. it was closer than i was expecting. but then again, the two injured players have taken us two attacking players we would have introduced in the second half. anyway i never understood when Pep said congratulations to Liverpool for winning the league last week. though i’m still connecting the dots.

When God is giving you an unlikely point, he introduces an unlikely hero. Batshuayi comes in. i hope i’m right.

I can’t see Chelsea coming back from here. the disallowed goal has killed the morale and moments later a soft free kick sealed it.

Well i have to say we had been the biggest losers of the VAR. and Liverpool had been the biggest winners so far. this was the third goal we scored against them. and VAR disallowed it.

May be the loss at Norwich could be a blessing in disguise for you guys. and it gives you extra motivation who knows?

City is in a scary form today. 5-0 before the game is 20 minutes old is very terrifying. you have to ask yourself how did this team lose to Norwich?

VAR strikes again, and this time it’s the Spurs who are on the receiving end. very harsh on Spurs there. you can take that out of the game it was only inches. and there to add salt in to the injury, Leicester equalises.

Im my opinion, Klopp was playing mind games as early as today. he knows that all pressure is on Liverpool to claim the 3 points. so he was easing pressure for his team. also he was motivating his team not be complacent because facing a young side can sometimes make stronger teams complacent. Klopp knows the effects of that. i don’t think he was sincere when he was making those comments. and even if he was sincere, the occussion makes it look like a mind game. may be he was sending his defence a coded message about who to look out in this Chelsea team. now that Hazard is no longer.
And that Hazard has left, Mount seems to quickly stepping up to fill that void. he seems to be winning the battle to fill the Hazard shoes. and that is why he is taking a lot of knocks from the teams. Wolves tried, Valencia tried and succeed in taking him out of the game, Sheffield United did it, and many more teams will watch him. and this is his new status. he is establishing himself to be Chelsea’s top dog, and that comes with a lot of rough treatment. he needs to accept and live with it. Hazard lived with that for 7 years. before that, Drogba lived with that.
Liverpool are favourites, and i’m not expecting that many from this game. only a good performance and not a heavy defeat. anything else we get will be a bonus. at the moment we are missing some key players, some are even carrying injuries like Kovacic.

I hope Frank rests Jorginho in our matchday one. because he has played 8 matches consecutively without any rest. and with the Liverpool match in the horizon, we would want him. playing Kovacic and Barkley or even mount would make sense. i would continue playing with the back 3 against Liverpool and Valencia. i would play Abraham in the first hour and then introduce Batshuayi. Pulsic and Willian to start. 3-4-2-1, Kepa, Alonso,Timori, Christensen, Zouma,Azpi,Kovacic,Barkley,Pulsuc,Willian,Abraham.

Well, the number of midfielders at senior level that City has is staggering, so they should be forgiven if they opt not to field Foden. and to be honest, not that many players from the academy have played cosistently for the top 6 in the last 10 years, Liverpool had TAA to show for, United has Rashford to show for, Arsenal Wilshere only Spurs can say and they had Kane and Winks and Chelsea didn’t had one until we are forced to do. so similarly unless they are forced,City will not entertain that. the top 6 teams will look the market for quick fix rather than nature and wait their own players. besides that who ever played for City, would still have lost that match. sometimes you need to give the oppisition a full credit. and Norwich defended for their lives and hit City on the break. and i suspect many teams would replicate that tactics.

Very silly from Guardiola to go personal against Liverpool. it was uncalled for, which suggests like the rest he is nervous about Liverpool’s devastating form. but to congratulate Liverpool after 5 games shows that he was rattled early. the mind games are working effectively for Liverpool.

442, You do realise that i have expressed the same concerns as the one you mentioned in my post. and i said we are not yet ready for the battle of top 4. however Roma wasn’t built in one day. each day that passes the team seems to be heading in the right direction. first we discovered what Mount could do, then Abraham came to the fold, and now Tomori has announced himself. i have my concerns about Zouma and Azpi. and make no mistake Azpi is my favorite player. but yesterday he was fine didn’t put a foot wrong but didn’t pull trees also. we can’t sort our problems in one day, and i have to say Lampard has exceeded my expectations at this stage.
During Conte’s last season and Sarri’s sole season at the club, our biggest problem was goal scoring. we had been the least scorers in the top 6. now goals are flowing under Lampard. but defensively we look more vulnerable. one of that is down to the fact that we have lost Kante in the middle of the park, and you see how teams easily reach our back four, also we were deprived off the services of some experienced players, for instance Rudiger returned yesterday only to go off injured. and the experience of David Luiz was massive loss. but credit to the young lads who stepped up. guys like Tomori and Christensen players with a whole career ahead of them. also if Zouma can recapture his old form, he will be a beast.
Also, i was surprised with the performance of Alonso yesterday. that wingback role suits him more than the fullback role. he has now given Lampard a headache. even Willian despite his lack of match fitness had worked his socks off. and if he can play to his strengths, we will have a player with skill and experience.
For sure there are issues at the back, but we are moving in the right direction with all these young players replacing Hazard one of the best players in the world. losing experienced players and replacing them with younger one will take time to come good. but i’m surprised, i wasn’t expecting this performance.

Great game to watch today. Chelsea had been at their best. and time and time it has proven that our biggest strength lie in attack. but delighted to see Tomori another academy start come and and put a shift and score a stunning goal. unreal is how all of our goals are scored by players who came from our academy. Abraham-7, Mount-3 and Tomori-1. and while i’m not still comfortable with the state of our defence. i have say our attack gives a cause for optimism. we are still way off the pace in the race for top 4. and i think at this stage and this young squad, it’s really a big ask. but who knows surprises do happen in football. nobody expected us to finish in the top 4 last season.
I would say the top 3 positions are now nailed for City,Liverpool and Spurs. not sure which order they will finish as the form that Liverpool is in now scares people. and City has lost today and are 5 points adrift. the race for the fourth spot is Arsenal’s to lose. both United and Chelsea are still work in progress and both have managers who doesn’t poses the kind of experience Emery has. and their attack is fantastic also. although they have the generous David at the back. but he is capable of defending on his day. his experience and leadership qualities are also fantastic. let us see how things go on as the season progress.
That injury to Rudiger is a concern. i hope it’s not serious one, for the 45 minute he has played. he brought stability to our defence. and we hope also to have Kante back before the Liverpool game. otherwise if we don’t have those two in place. and we face Liverpool’s lethal attack. it will destroy the confidence of our young team.

1st September 2019 at 12:03 am in reply to: Week 4: Because I\'m still bored (and annoyed about the cricket) #46833What has been our strengths has now become our weakness. and I’m wondering why? we had been a club who used to pride themselves with their defensive solidity. but this defence we have seems to be too weak mentally. and Lampard needs to be ruthless with them. I couldn’t come to terms with how we have lost a two-goal lead at home to a newly promoted team. I was very angry, and it took hours for me to digest and have the calmness to write a post. mostly when I’m angary I stay away from posting. until I’m calm enough, and it took 6-7 hours. we seem to be missing Kante very much. when we get him and Rudger back, we will see what may happen. today both Zouma and Tomori were total strangers to each other. and I was disappointed Azpi as our most senior defender on the pitch and our captain didn’t talk to them to calm them. how I miss JT? I’m hoping a piece of good news after the international break.
On the positive side, our striker seems to be doing the business. if he keeps on his current form, we will be doing fine to clinch a top 6 place. because we are in the middle of a rebuilding process. once again, Willian who is one of my favourite players seems to be annoying me. this is the second game in which has was introduced to help the team but had the opposite effect. I wonder what is going in his mind?. Pulsic needs to be rested. he seems to be running on an empty vessel now. while I’m disappointed with the state of our defence, one member whom I’m happy with is Emerson. he seems to have cemented his place.
