Sterling is a very frustrating player. great on his day, but when things are not going in his way, he frustrates you. the number of good chances he has spoiled has been uncountable. also why didn’t Southgate bring on Barkley earlier? likewise i don’t know what Henderson contributes in that midfield. also why Rose who is out of form and not Chilwell? since he went to United Maguire has been below his usual standard. does that got to do with weight of the price tag in his shoulders, and the weight of expectation?

Well, expect Spurs to come out of the block after the International break.

Yes, you could say it’s difficult to replace Hazard. but if you are Steve Bruce and your next fixture is at Chelsea, which player would your like to take out of the game? it’s clear that is Mount at this very minute. and the longer this stays the same, the more rough treatment he may receive from the opposing defence. i have not said he has replaced Hazard completely, but he has taken over from the most targeted Chelsea player by the opposing defence. even coaches speak about him in the pre match press conference before they play Chelsea.

What you need to realise is that Mount is only 20 years old kid who have never experienced the tough physical demands of the premier league. and the fact that he has taken from Hazard as our top dog, opposing teams target him with rough treatment. so until he plays 1-2 seasons at this level consistently, he cannot he expected come out of the block every time. he needs time, he has a big responsibility in his shoulders at that young age. and Frank is the right coach to develop him.
Personally, i’m delighted with his progress so far. the only one i’m worried now is Ross Barkley. he seems to be going backwrds. Frank/Southgate needs to have a word with.

I would interested to see England play this term. i normally don’t look forward to their games as they had no Chelsea players. but this time it’s different. there are a contingent of Chelsea players. with Mount on as the pride. i would also like to see Abraham get some minutes to boost his confidence as well Tomori to get.

There many things to do in life, but taking time with your family is the best thing that can happen to someone. that feeling is unmatched. and i wish you good luck. it’s worth keeping you here as we need more diverse and balanced posters in here. and i hope at some point you may reconsider your decision and find time to come back and post again. but taking sabbatical from posting at the minute to be with your family is a wise decision.

I’m supporting Liverpool to win, because i want the league’s competitiveness to be maintained. i have no ill feeling towards City, but then again i don’t want them to take a hatrick of leagues in a row. and if this Liverpool team cannot stop them from that. i don’t know who else will stop them. besides, i have a few Liverpool mates that i got on well at work. so my only concern is to save the league’s competitiveness. i want a different winner simple as that. and if Liverpool wins this year. they will be deserved winners. or even if City wins they will also be deserved winners. outside of those two, i can’t see anyone else coming anywhere closer. at the start of the season, many were tipping Spurs to challenge the duo, but i can’t see that happening now.

You are right, Aguero is the joint leading top scorer and has been consistent goal scorer for City, and will be in the near future. and he has been the difference for you guys on many times between you and the other teams. but you look the future and i don’t see any player who is capable of replacing him and getting you that ridiculous number of goals that he gets you year in year out. that is why i raised that point to just start up discussion on that front.
Besides that, i have no doubt in my mind that City will regroup and give Liverpool a run for their money. but whoever wins this league will do so deservedly. as for the chasing pack, i see an interesting race in the bid to fill the remaining two CL spots. and so far 5 teams are rightly in mix.

Ed, at this very time. United remain a top 6 team. regardless of the problems they are having. but it will stupid to write them off as a top 6 or even top 4 team. things can quickly turn around and change. 4 years ago, Liverpool were not playing in the CL and United were playing in the CL. first forward Liverpool are European champions and current PL leaders. so fortunes can change.

Summary of the PL top 6 teams:
If Liverpool wins the PL this season. surely they will be a derserved winners, after all they had been the most consistent team in the league this season. they have done their home work early and worked out on their weaknesses earlier. and now you can see they are reaping the reward. and it’s incredible that it was like today some four years ago that Klopp has taken over Liverpool. all the players he has inherited only Firminho is first choice and you would say Lallana,Lovren and Henderson who are not guaranteed starters. he has rebuilt them bit by bit and today they are the best team in Europe. the man deserves credit for his turn around at Liverpool. and his status as a Liverpool great will be sealed when he wins their first league 30 years.
I think City’s cycle of dominance is coming to an end if Guardiola do not act quicker. both D.Silva and Aguero are in the wrong side of their 30. and these players need to be replaced in the lobger term. also i’m not sure if Rodri is better than Fernandinho in that defensive midfield position. Sterling started the season like a house on fire, but is now bit below par. both Arsenal and Chelsea are heading in the right direction but are not yet there. there is uncertainty at United and Spurs to some extent. in Spurs case, they need an out and out defensive midfielder who will protect their defence and a creative attacking midfielder as Eriksen has already made up his mind to run down his contract. also their CBs are aging and they need fresh blood there. and possibly a new Keeper.
As for United, the first think is they need to appoint D.O.F to some one of a footballing background to work hand in hand with the coach. second get an experienced coach who could command the dressing room. and third get a striker, a creative attacking midfielder a proper winger and a left back. it will help them push up in the top 4.

In an ideal world our CB pairing should have been Rudiger and Zouma, two player who are 1.9 m tall each, flanked by Emerson and Reece James, and Jorginho and Kante sitting in front of them. our defence would have been stronger than it is currently. fragile as Zouma is, i watched him yesterday especially in the second half, and he has won many ariel battles. with the right form, he will be a handy player. but still something inside me says otherwise. i don’t know why i have this weird feeling. but honestly i’m a massive fan of Zouma. if you want to bench mark his importance, look at how Everton is struggling without him. and Lampard knows that, and is patient with him. the same way Marco Silva was when they first took him on loan. but he has proven himself to be their best CB as time gone by. Lampard is aware of what a fully fit Zouma and in good form is capable. and i’m thinking that Zouma is one of his favourites. can you imagine he has only missed i game and 2 halves in this entire season. the first half against Wolves and the first half against Liverpool and the Brighton match and that one he was sick?. i can see Frank sticking with him.

Just a quick question for the Chelsea lads here. how good was Willian yesterday? i thought he was our man of the match. the way he protected Azpi was brilliant. Azpi was rarely exposed. and Lampard has been brilliant to get this balance. at the start of the season Azpi was exposed and Lampard stood by with him. and then he benched Pulisic for exposing Azpi. since Willian was introduced, Azpi has been good. we need players like that who not only are great going forward but can track back and protect their fullback.

I think from the first sight i hold that view of injuries do not count. but after i was enlightened by Nine and Adlab. i have to say, the players that City are missing are more important than Allison Hightown hope. Laporte amd KDB count like Salah and Van Dijk. but if you win the league you deserve it ni doubt. injuries and loss of form will come to Liverpool as well, but it’s how they deal that will show their capability.
anyway, i have signed a 3 game contract with Luverpool. one has already been win. next go to Oldtrafford and do the job for us. and then next is Spurs. i’m a sourcer for those two games for sure?. amd for the sake of competitiveness, i want Liverpool to win the league. i don’t want a hatrick of wins for Guardiola.?

Our biggest signing this season has been Jorginho turn around. the guy has won over his critics. and i can’t get out but thinking that the club will already be drafting the new deal! his clearance in the first half was as important as our third goal. because had Southampton went to 2-3 at the time, they would be smeling a blood we would have been nervous. this could have pushed us to do something silly.

Surely OGS is now on a borrowed time. results have deteriorated worse than Mourinho. at least Mourinho was having problems with his players. and we knew what the issue with him was. but this guy started very brightly and has been doing great in his interim role. they should have kept him in that process until they got someone who qualifies. but then again great managers have to start from somewhere. Rashford has been the most overrated forward in the league.

I think whilst the loss of KDB is a big miss, we can’t say it had any direct impact of the game. credit should be given to Wolves for the way they have defended and caught City on the break. also the difference this season is that, Klopp has worked out the flaws his team had, and we should give credit to him for that. whilst Guardiola has done nothing to improve his team. even though the signs were there last season. and if Liverpool wins this title, credit will go to Klopp.

Good Nine, but still Pulisic has been brought on and had set up one for Michy.

Credit to Wolves for working hard to keep City out. and they nicked their goal. it may not be the end of the world. but this tightens Liverpool’s grip on the PL title. City’s frustration was evident as they had 4 players booked. i can’t remember the last time that has happened since Guardiola has taken over.

I have to say CHO has been very poor today. Pedro should come on. also I can’t see City breaking down that Wolves defence.
