😄 not at all gjblues. Takes more than that to get me riled. It’s just one of those completely illogical arguments which I’ve never got my head around.
“You can’t complain about decisions against your club. Don’t you remember what happened in the 16/17 season when your number 8 was offside but the goal was given?!”
It makes no sense at all because it would mean the only ones of us who could ever complain about decisions going against us would be those whose club has never benefitted from a decision and, well, you know what that would result in, right? Obviously, City fans will complain if decisions go against them at the weekend and rightly so. You’re hardly going to refrain from complaining about decisions simply because you’ve been on the right side of them are you? Well, you didn’t with the Fernandes one, which is kind of my point. Nobody said to you then, “hang on City fans, remember when De Bruyne dived against Fulham? Don’t be moaning about this offside now” It makes no sense at all 😄

Gjblues, seriously?! We’re going back that far and suggesting Utd can’t complain about decisions yesterday because of a single decision which went our way almost 4 months ago? 😆
I guess City fans can’t complain about any decisions at all then based on that first half you had against RB Leipzig with that very dodgy pen given to City and Ederson somehow escaping a red. Or how about the horrific De Bruyne dive for the pen against Fulham? See, it doesn’t really work like that does it? Otherwise, City fans wouldn’t have been allowed to even moan about the Fernandes decision. You were on here complaining about fans being too tribal but you’re as bad as the ones you’re complaining about 😁

That’s what you get Mikus when your main striker (Martial) hardly plays all season and your cover is an on loan failed Burnley striker 😁. Rashford can’t do it all from the left, albeit he was central today.
We must be on some kind of record for coming up against new managers though. Seems to happen all the time.

Really is poor to let this Spurs side back in. We fell asleep in the second half. As expected, they suddenly remember how to play football with a new manager 😁. So predictable

Utd could do an Arsenal and throw this away if we’re not careful. Don’t underestimate the new manager bounce which keeps catching us out this season.

Eddie Howe manager of the season? Newcastle flying at the moment.

Luke Shaw has been a revelation at CB. Would never, ever have imagined he’d do a job at CB in a back 4.

I think Spurs looked like they had a bit more about them today than usual Sean but yeah they’re not great at all.

😆 love that, Lucky. Reeling off Chelsea number 9s from back before he was around 😁. When I think about it, it’s crazy how much this sport has consumed my life. From the lessons at school drawing all kinds of different XIs from different leagues, the management games, computer games, live games, TV games. Made me think of this story I read earlier this year. Keep thinking I should give that a go tbh. Just go completely cold turkey on football for a while and see what life is like without it. Would probably be less stressful to be honest 😁

Fully agree Lucky about Lamps. I think he must be the luckiest manager around to have had the jobs he’s had. The media go easy on him because he’s Frank Lampard. Make no mistake, this “homecoming” has been a disaster. Potter’s Chelsea were guilty of not taking their chances. Lampard’s Chelsea are guilty of just about every sin in the game. This second stint has surely put to bed any idea that he belongs at this level.
Sean, yeah I wasn’t suggesting you got away with the pen or anything. As I said, I have genuinely no idea what handball is any more. I’m sure VAR looked at it and deemed it not worthy of overturning.

Gjblues is right, Nil. Besides, it’s the Villas, Newcastles and Brightons of this world our teams should be concerning ourselves with now, not City. They’re in a league of their own 😁

I think they bottled it tbh Sean. The last 3 games were where they lost the title. Coasting at 2-0 up at Anfield. Didn’t see the game out. Same vs West Ham. Then a complete collapse at home to the bottom side. Not enough character, in game intelligence for a title run in.

Was that a potential pen for West Ham at the end there? Thought it looked pretty clear to me but can’t say I really understand the current rules around handball.

Oh I’ll not be confident of top 4 Mikus until we’re mathematically secure. It would indeed be a total collapse for you to catch us but stranger things have happened. Doesn’t help we’re up against another new manager tomorrow then have a real in form Villa side at the weekend. If we win both those, we’ll be fine. Lose both and I’ll start to be a bit concerned.

Only Chelsea could concede 2 goals from 1 shot on target 😁

Arsenal such bottlers again after missing top 4 last season. Lampard at real risk of ruining his Chelsea legacy here. Walk away Frank. This job is too big for you. Brighton result suits us. Liverpool result less so. Good performance by Liverpool so far. Feels like they’re starting to find their way.

Yeah West Ham seem to be on a decent run since that hammering by Newcastle. Could be a close one that vs Liverpool. City are definitely beating Arsenal. A draw would be nice so there’s still some room for drama but I think we’ve all known for a while that Arsenal were throwing this title away. Hopefully Forest can take something from Brighton.

I asked the same question recently Mikus but referring to Lampard’s recent results. I’m not sure one has. I think Lampard is safe, though, purely because there’s nothing left to play for so little to gain by sacking him. Spurs will want to put up a fight for the slim chance that remains for a CL place and, failing, that secure EL football.

Sean, that should be the case but we’ve been so up and down recently. It would take a huge collapse though.
Lucky, no it shouldn’t happen at all. It’s just that unknown factor when a new guy comes in and can sometimes rally the troops.

😄 no worries Lucky. We have all had to backtrack at some point. It’s ok to change your mind/perspective because, as you allude to, the situation has changed significantly. Just as I now think state ownership is brilliant 🙄😂. Nobody has ever backtracked quite as far as Chucky had to when Mourinho came in to Spurs anyway!
