I think Utd are most neutrals’ choice to win the league 999. The people’s choice, if you will ?

What a way to top off an unbelievable year for young England sides. Completely schooled Spain. Brilliant

Adlab, because I have nothing better to do, I’ve just done as you suggested and looked through this site https://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/man-city/2014-15/fixtures-and-results.html?no-amp=1
I went back through to 13/14 season to present and counted 16 home games and 16 away games in total with both cups included. The levels of the teams faced are really mixed too.
In fact, season 14/15 City had only home games in the cups with the opponents being Sheffield Wednesday, Newcastle, Sheffield Wednesday again and Middlesbrough. No doubt there are plenty of tougher draws in there too but I honestly think that’s just the luck of the draw.
I think we all at times like to think out clubs are hard done by and that there’s an agenda against them but I I just can’t see anything in the draws over recent years to suggest anything is untoward.

Sanchez is surely a goner in January. Hope he goes to PSG. The rest of the league could do without City getting even stronger

I just don’t buy the whole conspiracy that says Utd are given easy draws to get them through. I can absolutely understand the concerns that people have about it appearing that the bigger sides are kept apart but the Utd conspiracy falls apart as soon as you look to the previous round.
City at home to a Championship side
Chelsea at home to a PL side
Spurs at home to a PL side
Arsenal at home to a PL sideSo Utd were the only one of the big sides to be drawn away to a PL side in the last round, hardly a sign of trying to give Utd easy draws! Lucky this round, absolutely, but not in the previous round where City got the easiest draw of the big sides. You win some, you lose some fellas! City should have more than enough to get past Leicester anyway

A 1-1 draw at home to Huddersfield Sean? Surely not? I know Utd struggled against them at their place but Liverpool shopuld have enough to get a home win.
You’re right that Spurs usually don’t perform very well at Old Trafford but it’ll be a tough game. I think Utd may just scrape it though.

Bravo did well there with that last chance to the young Wolves striker in the last few mins. Let’s see if De Bruyne can muster up anything special

Huge win for them that Nine. I hope they get a decent draw in the next round. City still plugging away. The young Wolves striker had a brilliant chance to win it right at the end of the 90 bit Bravo just did enough. Otherwise, all City

Can Ancelotti really have such high demands anymore? I mean, he’s won an awful lot but he’s also been sacked now by Madrid, Chelsea and Bayern. That Bayern side, in particular, was capable of so much more than they were delivering under him.
I’m struggling to see any club bigger than Everton that would want Ancelotti now. He may need to go to an Everton level team in order to build his reputation back up again.
Moyes did a brilliant job there. While never really challenging, they regularly punched above their weight, always being amongst the lowest spenders in the league and constantly pushing for a CL spot, albeit often falling short. I just can’t see him going back though.
Rafa? Would he?

@srd79, good to see you here. We’re a bit short of Utd fans!
Not looking good this at all for Liverpool and puts them down to 9th. As for Spurs, this should do wonders for their confidence, particularly after all the fuss over how they’d fare at Wembley.
The last couple of weeks has shown Liverpool at their best and at their worst, with a smashing win in the CL to this poor defensive display today. A lot of work to be done still by Klopp but they just have to stick with him. Who would come in and do better?

Well that’s Utd joining Chelsea in being out of the title race. I was one of the few previously saying how it’s a long season and lots of games still to play, but you simply can’t go to Huddersfield and lose if you expect to be challenging for the title race. I’m still convinced City will slip up and let someone back in with a chance but I now don’t think that someone will be Utd. Over to you Spurs!

Good comeback that 9. I didn’t watch the game but the reports suggest Watford deserved to get something today. It’s a real show of character though to come back like that when going through a tricky spell.

Apologies Banjo. See attached pic for why it was incorrect. I accept no blame!
So, the question is only for ones who are still playing!
