I do not see any team dominating to day’s final. I hopeit is a good game, Spurs should have more incentive to win and have no doubt they will be up for it. I do not know the City team yet but I hope they improve on recent performances. I would not risk KDB with PSG in a few days but I think Augerro on one leg is worth a risk because I know he will try and score, I bet he winces at Sterlings misses and thinks he could do better half fit. I know Sterling works hard but the team needs a finisher

I must admit, after watching some of the decisions over week end I concluded this is no longer enjoyable watching, I am with you on that and loosing my interest in the game, too many stupid, fine edged decisions, I have said it before, football is a sport not a science. I only want VAR employed if the ball is over a line or not. Refs and assistants should be good enough to control a game and understand it, sadly , they are not. To me, VAR has been used for TV enjoyment not the game itself. Keep VAR simple and its OK. Accept mistakes from Refs and assistants but make them better. After all we are having to accept plenty of mistakes now from Stockley Park and the rules as they stand
It is a loose/loose situation for the game

The other thing that concerns me are the way fans are getting involved. I am a fan, however, when I look at the overall fans behaviour at football matches I have to ask myself , do we want any of these fans with a voice in our club or game, Season on season there is disrespect, fighting, brawling call it what you like but it happens on a regular basis. The amount of Police and Stewards to put a game on now is deteremntal to the game and the fault of the fans
I do want fans to have a voice at any newly formed organisation but I ask such a body to make sure they check the members out first. Many of you will not know of the enjoyment of standing next to visiting teams supporters and even cheering players from the opposing team, probably no more than a few “bobbies” in the ground and a couple of police horses outside…..I know nostalgia makes way for so called “progress”. but I have yet to see it from a fan point of view.
We should be careful just how much say you give to fans, however, a voice needs to be heard and reckoned with., that will not be done by shares but it will be by non attendance
Just my own view on the subject and a wish for the game to continue in an orderly way, fair to all_____________________________

Begs the question Mikus…..why cannot all these brains , cannot organise and manage a game of football??? Self interest always in the way, plus, of course, fat salaries

We do not want to be giving free kicks around the box, that is what Kane/Bale will want. It should be a good game, may best team win. I think Song is City’s biggest threat.

Cityboy…I think Pep will put out a team he thinks could win the game, that will mean changes….I have no problem with that if the players coming in put in a good solid performance. We could do with a team of Zabaletas!!!!! City til I die attitude. I do not understand why some switch off when they know an opportunity for a place exists. I cannot see us winning if they turn up like Leeds and Chelsea, two winnable games thrown away.

We appear to have drifted from one inept organisation into another and then back into the original. The question is,….have lessons be learned?
The mistakes made can be compounded if sensible solutions are not found, for example, fines, point deductions even relegation has been muted but this will not save the games future and just propel another attempt to try something again in the future. My thoughts are, just lets get on with the game and concentrate on the end of this season and then into the next. Further changes to the games structure needs to be put on the back burner until they have been fully thought through with everyones interest at heart and not the generation of money to the fore…A war does not exist in minds that think of the future_____________________________

Nine…but the same anology can be made of the current set up…plenty of them with no chance of getting past the first game!!!!!
Chuky.. I can see you point, maybe is me thinking of the “Trade descripion act” when the non Champions out number the “Champions”. Ha-ha
We all know change is needed, just hope we can find some sensible people to do it

Chuky. it would be more palatable to me if it did what it says on the tin. CHAMPIONS league. smaller competion but genuine Champions

You may well be right Nil but I also believe we all knew a change was on its way, not least of all the PL, FA. UEFA.Fifa. but what did they do about it….absolutely nothing, they were too engrossed on there lofty perches and this bit them in the bum. The bite is big enough to suggest it will happen again in another form unless some sensible changes to the game are made and stop all the tinkering. Above all decrease the power of TV and betting companies on the game, thereforein some small part , I would not put all the blame on the Investorswho clearly saw an opportunity but mis calculated the general feeling. It will also be noticed the ones with the biggest debts in Europe were the last to pull out …reluctantly

Nil. but would you complain if it was Liverpool? You certainly wanted it this year before itwent wrong for your team. In principle, I would agree, that it would not be great to have a Rangers/Celtic. or Bayern scenario but top teams can be beaten and I think next season will be one of the most competitive. IF City win it this time they have won it from a very weak position before Christmas so will deserve it in my opinion but we are not there yet.

Much better performance, could have done without going down to 10 though.
Spurs next…I would keep the same team, hope the “B” team does not play but Pep will make changes Iam sure_____________________________

Mike…yes, I received the same and have responded to it. Fair enough, a mistake made, an apology made…I have accepted the fact, we have to move on. Everybody will learn from this episode and for me there is no point now in keep going over old ground to satisfy news print or TV time. That is my view but City Owners and Management have done more right than wrong for the Club and Manchester and will continue to do so. It would appear to me that many fans want to use this bad experience to oust owners they do not like rather than the act itself and this was apparent before the action took place.

I think the German model is over stated . I am not saying it is wrong but share structures are a game to be played by those who know the rules.
It would not work here because every man and his dog would think they own the club and entitled to call the shots and make decisions. Objectives would have to be spelled out and adhered to at the beginning of each season I would have thought or mayhaem would occur with English clubs, we just do not have the mentality to plan, eveything has to be “now”. It maybe a harsh comment, but would you really want fans having a big say in your club? If you take any 100 fans from any team and ask them to puck there team, you would have the collection of different teams!!! Did anybody object when premier took over? Will anyone object when UEFA announce there new league in 2023/4? We are all upset, mostly by the way it was done, it should have been explained much earlier and better_____________________________

Important game for us to night against a good Villa team at home. I expect a much improved City team and performance with or without KDB and Augerro. I still cannot believe Augerro is not fit enough by now, he would have been better on one leg than our last three up front

Sean…you are right…I do not see how UEFA or Fifa can claim any victory out of this, What they propose is nothing short of a nightmare and a club will need more than 25 players to cope with ALL the fixtures. No winners in this, least of all the fans who will be paying more money to keep them employed

Lucky…I am also looking for the benifits out of this….at least FiFa and UeFa will have had a shock to the system let alone our own inept FA, it MAY just get them thinking and ACTING better in the future so the situation does not arise. I am not too hopeful that it will not but at least something will be done, again…hopefully

Lucky…a lesson for the future, not so much for fans involvement but just the way it was planned and carried out without any consideration to everybody else, until they hit the wall,
