Chucky…with respect. I do not agree with that. I do not have the same problem with City or any other club being owned by them, if the positives are gained from it. However, I am of the opinion that our owners will sell, eventually and I think it may well be within the 5/10 years you quote. They are building a massive global football company but they will have other more short term lucrative ventures before football in this period.

Shiney, as promised, I watched the full match on City TV. OK. two fouls by Laporte , if he had been sent off though so should your LB who committed a lot more fouls throughout the game. I guess the Ref even things up a bit and did not want a sending off in his Final. Interesting what Clattenburg said, which i agreed with, if Laporte did get the first yellow, no way would he have done the second challenge. a view expressed bya few as well. As with all these things, win some/loose some but I doubt Spurs would have threatned us any more, we would have taken Gungdoghan off and brought on Rodri and closed shop but still capable of scoring All, subjective Shiney Spurs had players on the pitch that should have done better though

Mikus…and the same pundits tear into managers when they have never been in there position, in other words…have no experience. It is a problem, a bit like shortage of good Refs and assistants…..if we had a very high standard with them , we would not have a need for VAR. !!!

Chuky..there are more potential investors than clubs, even for fans who want to club together and do it, although I do not see that happening for a number of reasons. Nine is right, City are doing well to day, it could be there era but it will be somebody else later….maybe Spurs!!!! I respect your views Chuky and i concede I maybe wrong with mine but that is worth debating like we do. To me , the magic of football in England is the FA Cup, in a few months, the whole process starts again and the minors take pride in having a go from the early stages in the hope of another Chorley v Spurs again, It is magic…no money can take that away or buy it. Just a pity the rest of football was not like this and eliminate the names Superior, Premier etc etc

Get back to what it really is. Div 1/2/3 etc. cut they hype

Nice, your view on City ,that way Nine. It is coming from the depths of lower tier football that many City fans just appreciate what we have. The owners could have picked any team in the world, for whatever reason the City of Manchester was the beneficiary and not just for football reasons. A lot of money had to be invested to put many wrongs right even before we got to players. Then we bought a lot of players for high amounts, the law of business is you never get them all right, so we had failures, managers changed but behind the scenes a new managerial structure took place which also made some high profile people move on. The sense from city fans then was, at last, our club was in the hands of people who knew what they were doing. To day we are debt free, Academy working well, we will see more youngsters coming through after Phil Foden so it will not always be mega stars but I am sure a mix When i look back to the days of Wild Wild in the 1940s through to now it is a remarkabkle story including the nightmare period of watching games like city v Southend./Macclesfield etc…that is why we appreciate what we have now

Nil….as a PS…..there are two ways of looking at this
1. As an Investor
2 As a fan

The two do not mix well, the nearest we have is Chelsea and City who are wealthy enough not to bother as much but the majority of Investors will want and demand returns. The only “rights” a fan is that to take his support somewhere else. However, I do strongly believe a Supporters voice should be acknowledged, how this is done depends very much on the Club structure, it is unlikely we will see a fans run club. They have neither the experience or investment required to do so. I have yet to hear any plan for fans to acquire an investment or definitive say in a EPL side let alone top 6

Nil. that is exactly what will happen……why would an owner invest next season if at the same time he is penalised.Having 6 teams at the bottom of the league at the start on -15pts is not the solution, it will make matters worse. They will be thinking….OK. write next season off now, no investment and let us look at it for the following season. The clubs that will eventually do well for the season will win something, move into Europe….but….will they be welcome….they will still be clubs run on lower investment and then face the return of the 6. This, of course is far from ideal as well but the game to day is all about investment, if it is not attractive to do so then any investor will not enter the market. the EPL is still an attractive but it has to be managed carefully, we have to wait and see how well this will be done. I am not confident a satisfactory solution can be found at this time unless we get past the punishment agenda .Get it sorted, attract more investors and have a big10 rather than 6. then it be be competitive but not if punative punishment are involved, it just makes owners think, there has to be a better solution all over again. No winners only losers to this dilemma

Tired formula about City Chuky, you are better than that.There have been enough world class accountants poring over City’s books and came up with nothing. You would think with all that expertise they would find at least a parking ticket unaccounted for. Yes,we are wealthy , for this era, it will be somebody else for the next era with another club just as it was going back in time to other dominant era.s. Do you remember Jack Walker, great guy,brfore then there was the North East Emperors at Sunderland and Newcastle all proportionally big. There are many more of course. I never let it concern me because I always know change is never far away and so you must enjoy what you have to day. The Shiek to his credit has done a great service to Manchester outside as well as inside the Club and people do not see this, Mancunians do

The question then would be if you had done any better against 10 men? No guarantee of that from what I listened to

SEAN. I did not see it live, I was listening to the match commentary , the reporter there was saying he was lucky but sometimes they are given and other times not. Was just commenting on Laporte as a player and person. I will look at the match to morrow hopefully

Chuky…but interesting for who…that penalises the City/Utd/Liverpool. etc fans….why bother going to a match or what is the point of one of them beating one of the “remainers” when it means nothing? Imagine one of those teams wins the league but lost every game against the 6? The fans suffer, the manager/Players/Staff suffer, would that be fair? There would be approx 350,000 of them as match goers. I think as a watching spectacle it would be turn off for most of those fans and farcial Think something needs to be done but more on the lines of direct involvement, preferably to lower divisions and the provision for Dementia care, at least that would be my choice.

Chuky…re free kicks….if you had Laporte and Dias in defence you would not worry about sending the free kicks in so much!!!!! Re Sterling….you should know by now, Sterling does like to sit down and a sandwich and a cuppa inbetween missing opportunities. I thought Spurs would have been happy to see him in the team!!!!! If Laporte has a problem, he is an old fashioned CB and tackles hard, he does pick up yellow cards but I bet Spurs would have him in there team and others. He is not a malicious or dirty player though, the cards he picks up are usually for the team. What failed Spurs today was the tactics and players not the Referee, We know they are capable of better than this, so why, for a Final?

Well deserved win and some very good performances. Spurs disappointing , appears no change in there approach to the game, defensive from k.o despite being a Final. Mahrez, not one of my favourites was outstanding and very unlucky not to score a couple at least. Can they do the same against PSG now?

I take the view that whatever the sanctions football and football fans will be the loser. To win a title with out competeing with the best is not a worthy title but in its own way…it own league…something they complained about. A monetary fie would be passed on to fans at some stage make no arguments against that, again , fans the loser

If the monetary fine was to be used for specific purposes , like helping the lower league teams but I see this going into the FA or UEFA coffers. It would also have an effect on the 6 clubs how they view any future co-operation FA or UEFA want. lets face it both these organisations cannot afford to be without these clubs contributions

I am against any sanctions because I think they will not serve a purpose other than satisfy a short term requirement and may even fuel. “another day” concept. It has to be put to bed, its over, get on with it. Have sanctions on whatever you want but there will be consequences as well. UEFA, with there track record cannot even take the moral high ground.

I would like to see the clubs involved help the grass roots more, something the FA are not doing or creating a medical health facility for the dementure sufferers , in other words , do something positive
