Nine…the pundits/bookies/media got it wrong. As a City fan I never went along with this “favourites tag” always said in my post City were beatable, however I also feel sure we will win more than we loose, but never unbeatable. Our style works well when everything is working and every player performing but anything less and it breaks down.What other teams do or not do does not have much interest for me but I do know there are some very good teams in the EPL and it is good to see them all, even the lower half ones In this context, I do not see City as favourites next season, or any other team for that matter, ask me in Mid January I may have an idea!!!!!

Nine, plus you Chelsea lads…I think you are reading beyond my meaning, maybe it is myself not articulate enough….look at my post…have always said Chelsea would challenge, as to the “defensive” statement…you do have an excellent defence which you utilise and although you have attacking abilities they did not show enough, to which you agree…all I am saying at this point is you need more or you will have to rely on your defence. We played most of the season without strikers and although we scored more than anybody else we fell short of what we should have scored…but that is hypothetical and as I have said before I am not a believer in such . All City fans that I know can only congratualte Chelsea for there performance, we all await the new season and at thois stage there are no winners in sight

Steve…maybe so…but I am talking about next season and I think Chelsea have found a way to play that may well bring them to the fore, a settled tactical game….that is how Liverpool and City won it. All I was sounding alarm bells for was that you may need a little more. Next season I beieve will be more competitive, I am sure Chelsea will be in the mix. Steve…you are stretching me by hypothetical guesswork on numbers, you cannot change reality. I also did not mean that Chelsea were defensive but said “if they play like that next season” Being defensive I do not see as a negative as long as you have some attacking intent which I am sure will plan for

Nine…Chelsea will chaalenge for the title but in the EPL if you play totally defensive through the season you will start to draw a lot of games you should be winning, that is what you will have to solve, just my view

Steve..I hope so but we need 3/4 new faces , young to energise us. 61 games out of 62 is a big ask for any team. I am satisfied with what we have won and still want the EPL and FA Cup before CL….sorry Pep and players who want it but our Domestic football is still best for me. I did admire Chelsea defensive play, I have no problem with that as a tactic.

What I do not understand about the Poch to Spurs scene is that it changes nothing….if levy did not back him before are they likely to do it now? Think not, then you have same scenario. Spurs need new players and selling Kane is the only way they will get themand I am sure Poch would want to keep Kane. I guess we will all just have to wait and see.

The slate is now clean, we start again in August. My main hope is the EPL title again but we will need some fresh players. The game is about speed and possession now and I think that is whERE our choices will be. I expectthe same 6 to be fighting it out but hope to see an outsider in there or maybe, one/twoof the six loose there way and let somebody in

Surrey Blue..I would agree with that, it would be a strange fan that did not look at the season rather than one match. Another two trophies, we will see a few goings and comings now to freshen up the team for another go next season. I expect three players coming and four or five going. Pep will remain exceptional but not unbeatable because he will always put his plan first, sometimes , it does not work and he acknowledges this but he will win more than he looses

GI Blues…cheer up….it takes me max 19 minutes to get over a loss. I feel good, after all, Pep has Brough us another two trophy’s this year, mostly we have played well, cannot complain and just move on, that is the best tonic I can advise

Lucky….I also said City are beatable recently when all and sundry were hailing us as the best ever. We are still a little below that but I am sure Pep will continue to win more than he looses and play football worth watching. We do need some fresh faces and to fit the team ethic. Both teams gave everything to day, there can be only one winner. Mahrez and Sterling did not put enough effort to get beyond Chelsea back line, Walker did more than both of them put together. Pep took a risk without Fernandinho or Rodri and it did not work out.Some would say we have no forwards ora striker that score goals and it showed to day but at the same time it would hard for me to critique a team who have just won the EPL scoring the most goals and at the same time letting fewer past them. To day was hard and a lesson for Pep as much as the players though but they did trying for that I will not complain

A couple of players under par and one did not turn up…Sterling, who did not do the job Pep wanted him to do, I was therefore surprised he picked him. Pity about KDB but these things happen in football but I think it was a foul on him. Season over, into the history books, lets have a few in and a few out this summer. To get to the final was good but I am more pleased about the winning of the league and a Cup. Onwards and upwards I hope, we have had our first taste of a Final now, next year go on and win it.

I also think the high energy game Liverpool put in had an effect, in some ways similar to City situation with our style. I rhink the difference being Pep thought of ways to play without recognised striker in some ways helped City because he could rotate midfielders who could also knock in some goals and that eased the physical demands. It is also another reason I had stated earlier in a post that Pep would look at a midfielder rather than a striker. Makeno mistake though, without Klopps drive and Peps plans the EPL would have been worse off, these two have brought a high level to our game, others may do it in time but for now I just enjoy watching both teams

Sean, I think you are right about the loss of key players but I also think before that you were not playing that well before the injuries, at least not up to last seasons standard and the fact you did not go into the market earlier. I think it goes a little deeper than the missing players. City paid the price by not getting to the market earlier when Kompany left and what we bought just not good enough so missing our key players was not a good enough for me as a City fan that we should have done better. However, this is football and these happenings do occur. We have no control of these matters and only hope our Management, both teams, learned a few lessons. It is not easy being in Klopp or Peps position though and they will be judged on what is achieved. I have no time for those who think they know better without having the full picture of events.

Nine…..this is a CL Final…are you saying Chelsea are underdogs? To get to the Final is achievement in itself, I do not care what the pundits say, City are a beatable side and everyone knows we will not be defensive from the start so it gives every chance for opposing teams. No undergogs here, two good teams, a one off game, I just hope the Ref, officials and VAR are good enough. I will be curious what team Pep sends out… by the way, received a very nice letter from Pep this morning, amongst all other season ticket holders of late, nice touch and nice sentiments

Nike…Fernandiho just gets on with his job, why would Cheleas want challenge a midfielder? I thought they would be pre occupied with Foden, KDB and Gungdoghan. Chelsea have kante in similar role but I hope he will be kept t busy with the aforementioned…great player though

Ed…I was dissapointed that Pogba and Fernandes did not do better, neither could work out how to pass and open the Villareal defence. I put the loss down to them more than DeGea….Given a choice no keeper wants to take penalties…except Ederson!!! He wants to be No 1 penalty taker!!! I hope he is right. Always maintained no Pro should miss from 12 yds with a free hit.
