I am amazed some of you guys throwing the towel in so early. City will always be beatable by the way they play, that should give any team encouragement. Pep does make mistakes and I would not call getting to the CL final a failure, every City fan knows that team was wrong and my guess was , even the City players knew it was wrong and they could not cope with a formation that lost control in midfield, usually our strongest point, however , that is history. Grealish….good I suspect will not be a regular starter but probably replace Bernadino Silva I think we have lost the battle to keep him. Kane, I believe most City fans do not want, at least the ones I have spoken about. If we get both of them I actually think it reduces our chances next season. My view is, City will have a strong squad again, we will continue to play open attactive football, we will loose games, Pep will make mistakes….now what are the rest going to do?

I am a little concerned for Saka after his excellent first half performance, the media building him up too quickly so they can chop him down like they have done with so many. He appears a level headed lad, like Foden so I hope he does not take media pressure with any regard and just get on with his future. Patience required

Nine..take your point. but I cannot get past the risk with Kane is greater than the potential reward. At some point Levy will wish he had not been so greedy and all he will have is an unhappy talisman and players to find on a reduced budget

Just toss a coin, no extra time, no penalties. the game is over 90 minutes. I expect they will conjure up another rule change given time

As a PS Nine….I am not a Sterling fan either but I would rather have him than Kane because he still has room for improvement in his finishing. He has always worked very hard for the team as well, the same can be said of Jesus. I do think Pep has given them plenty of chances to keep themselves in the team but is now feeling that it has not worked out as expected.

Nine…..Kane whatever he did in previous seasons does not mean anything for next season, it was the same with Augerro. Fitness is the key and Kane is a long way from that under current form. he is at an age where this will not regenerate quickly. It shows. I am not saying he is finished but for a mobile team like City he is not the answer.. OK, I bow to Peps greater judgement but I still believE I will be prooved right at thE end of next season

Nine..there are a few….I am not sure of the names but one in Italy, I think his name is Martinez or something like that, then a couple of exciting young Spanish lads. I am still hoping Delap makes the grade but I think City will loan him first for experience….I cannot believe out of the thousands of players around the world one maybe two cannot be found.that would be OK for us. What are the Scouts saying???

Absolutely, Cityboy. but I have a horrible feeling we will get him, what little football brain I have, does not understand it at all. Gofor a younger, fitter version, after all we have the experience with Augerro with his fitness problems. It should tell us something. Kane has had an excellent run of scoring butthere comes a time when fitness, or lack of it, takes over, you loose sharpness, you loose goals. Kane will probably score a hatfull now I have said that!!

I still do not get it with Kane, he is well off the pace and lacks sharpness, hence, no goals. Time to rest him. I am sure he will get a rhythm back but we cannot afford another 3 games until he finds it. Saka wa excellent infirst half, marked a little tighter in the second. The smallest players onthe pitch caused the biggest havoc!!

ED…I have changed my mind about Kane. I think Pep now wants him to fill the gap when Delap moves up from the Academy and Kane will have a guaranteed place with the Academy, after changing his age , of course.

I. have never considered us as the short odds as stated, but you play what is in front of you, that is the challenge, not which team you play. Lots of good teams all capable of winning and loosing in the competition. I just watch the odd game but it appeared to me that many of the players who play in the EPL look cream crackered to me, what they will be like when our season starts I do not like thinking about.

Nine…you are right, the City Chairman will not go over Peps wishes. If Pep wants Kane he will get him, I just do not think he is right for City, then what do I know!!!! I believe Kane has two good years in him IF he keeps fit and can keep pace. I believe the game will get even faster with all the young talented players appearing. I would still go for a young, talented, hungry player. City have not been short of scoring goals with or without a striker year on year, it is the system that creates goals. We are useless at penalties though!!

IF, this was true and I sincerely hope not, 100 million less any player (s) City would off load may bring it down to 50 million, worth a punt at that but I think much better targets are on view. Levy will never accept anything as an opening offer, so this will drag on and on and on. Kane has few options really, City have a few, I just do not see him in a City shirt somehow, would be great for Utd though and think he would do well at OT

Nine…no worries friend….I said Mount was a good player and one for the future but he is still young and needs to learn how to control games , he has the capability, in time but not at the moment. Like with others, the Euros will be good experience for World Cup next year. I have never had much interest for European Cup although I did watch Hangary v Germany because I thought it would be a good game….and it was.

Nine….Mount…lovely pass….but it did not change the game in the way I am meaning. In my mind he is a good attacking midfielder but not player who would control a game like a Kante, Silva, KDB and a few more but he is young and will develop and get better. I hope he does for Englands sake, we need talented players

There is something in what lousy stereo b ut i think the situation is more basic, in so far as we have no leader. Kane, Maguire certainly not nearest we have is Henderson and he is not fit enough. This is where you maybe right, when we come against better teams we have no “glue” to keep us together. It maybe stretching it a bit to say they are on “pedestals” but I know what you mean, for example. Mason Mount….he is a very good talented player and I like him a lot but not a game changer, to win a game but when the going is tough like last night he has the vision to do better. I am also not singling him out because you could apply same logic to others…thinking about there personal games rather than the team collective. Finally, as I stated previous, we should not get hung up about this, the team is young and purposeful but just lacks leadership….or a good old kick yp the pants!!!
