Nil..the game has changed a lot since 90 and 96. I do not think you can compare.
There are downsides to to days level though and as recently highlighted the “cheating” is becoming more evident, some excell at it!!!! It is awful to watch and hope the Refs getter smarter and tougher with it. On the subject of Refs, noticeable this tournament that Refs are letting the game flow more or is it my imagination? To be honest , not seen that many games but did watch the Spainish match, which I thought was poor but enjoyed the 60 min I watched of the Italy/belgium game_____________________________

As CB prices go, I would put Laporte at 50/55 million but the price for Kane would have to come down, for reasons already mentioned by many. Total outlay no more than 50 million and I still would not be happy with that because i do not want to loose Laporte either but I also think his mind is on leaving. No good keeping players who want to move on. levy, will keep hanging on as long as possible and the deadline will come and go, nothing resolved. Just hope City have somebody else in mind

Ed, we have a LB going cheap, you can have him, he is big and moves fast but only in one direction

ED..you are right, nobody will pay for that much for Kane. Contracts are not worth the paper they are written on and this prooves a point. No matter if he stays in a place he does not want to be and Spurs pay every week his salary and possibly a deteriorating performance and fitness issues. I think City will look elsewhere, just not worth the real risk

Chuky…at least you are giving Nuno a chance. I think he could do a good job at Spurs and on performanceslast year you need at least half a new team, which I think Nuno will get….my bet, he will go for Neves first, a good player Spurs may surprise us if he gets the players he wants and they blend quickly.

Mikus…also agree…we have no “lineman”. henderson is the nearest and he is not a 90 minute player at this level now but he has good experience. I would not mind starting with him but only for 45 minutes, no longer

Mikus…agree with what you say but I also think an early goal would benefit the game as well but then you have to drive on for the next not sit back and play around the back line.

Mikus…I just want to add….it is said that we have to find a replacement for Augerro, well maybe, but we did OK last season and before without him. Previous to that he was magical, wonderful player but City were never an Augerro team. Spurs have been a Kane team in my opinion and there is no way he would over shadow any of the existing squad, he will be coming into a winning squad and would have to perform from first kick off.

Yes, I think City will try and hold on to Pep but I think there will come a time when Pep wants a sabbatical and I am sure there will be an agreement, that time will be known, well in advance, by either side so the right person follows
For the moment, I doubt could get better conditions to work with, apart from our climate!!! If I see him going anywhere it would be to Italy, unprovenground for him as long as he wants the challenge but for now he is ours.
As to fitness, that is the one reason I do not want Kane, he is at the wrong age and picks up regular problems, he will not last a season with City style
For the money quoted not just a risk but a HUGE risk and in my mind cannot be justified, but then I am not paying out. Far better to go for somebody younger, hungry and will get some service life from himTrue, players are getting younger now and many will burn out, it has happened to many. Agree, there is less attachment now than before, fans still like there “loyal”” players though but I think it is a diminishing role and player will be changed, some outof necessity, some out for squad improvement (in theory).

I do not understand what all the bother is about by both sets of Liverpool fans. The guy is a good Manager, wants a job, applied for it and got it. I think he will do well given the support any new Manager needs. OK, I understand he was once on the other side of the City…..but that is not unique by any means, not long ago we had a UNITED player managing us. As to the remarks alleged to have been made , the need is for pragmatism and get a manager who can do a job for you and he can

Mikus…I believe Pep would let Sterling go, I would not agree with it and although I am not a Sterling fan few can match his work rate and City fans know he misses more chances than he scores but he does score. In that context to raise funds for Harry Kane would be the biggest mistake Pep will make and the club. I would rather go for somebody that will give us 6/7 seasons Sterling will only go to a top club anyway and that means strengthing the our competitors. Sterling is still young as well and keeps himself fit. I still see KDB as the false Nine with Grealish/Foden/Mahrez/Gungdogan buzzing around him. I see Bernardo,Jesus, Mendy, Cancello going in a fire sale because City need to conclude the squad for next season as soon as possible. I am only guessing what may happen though, no hint of anything firm yet

Well said lads…with you all the way. Every man and his dog would have done it there way but Southgate has been good for England considering what he started with

Adlab…you forgot Stones, a quiet but very effective game which allowed Maguire to move up. I thought Maguire was MotM actually with Sterling close. Kane did nothing, apart from nod in the second, he looks far from being fit and missed a lot of intercepts which a lively forward would have got to. I still think Grealish and Foden should have started, they would have run the Germans ragged. However, it was a good win so I am pleased for the team who put in a good shift to day

Chuky…how about Sam Alladyce, Neil Warnock. managers who manage with little funds….Spurs are running out of candidates….OR….just keeping the guy you have. I think you will kick off the season by beating us in the first match then it all goes downhill because Levy thinks he will have proven a point
Feel sorry for the Spurs fans, we have been down that road a few times._____________________________

Sean…if we sit back we will definately loose. Control the game, well for most of it, but we have the players to do the job, they have to have the right tactical plan and get on with it. We will see how much which team wants it. For me, it is not Germany who are the opposition but the next team we are playing, forget the historic crap , it is what we do to night
