I think City need somebody in midfield in the Fernadiho role. Rodri is the obvious choice but he will need to move up a gear at least. Gungdogan does not fill the same role.. I just wonder if he will use Stones in that role and partner Dias with Laporte but Stone does not have the same vision or energy level for the game but maybe a new plan is about to be launched!!!!

Just trying to guess what Pep has planned, he knows now….I do not!!!!

We will know at the end of next week who City will be signing. I think Grealish is a possibility, no more than that, Kane a NO. Griezman..possible, then again, City may just surprise us all

I am concerned about KDB injuries and if the summer break is long enough for him to get back to peak level. Stones Walker and Sterling need a rest, Foden should be OK
Gungdogan, Dias, Laporte, Torres, Bernado (if he is still with us) should have had sufficient rest. Same for Ederson, Jesus and Fernandinho

I do not think Pep has to change much for next season, just get the new signings bedding in as quickly as possible.

We have all ground this incident into the ground, which also makes me wonder just how much of it is down to the media wanting a story to rumble on, how much was it because it was Sterling, how much of it was because it was England? We see this kind of incident every week in every league, internationals,an CL, why is it so debatable. The game is over, of course insults will fly around, look at the Scottish Press the last few days but then again they can hardly be called a beacon of virtue. If the player had beenShaw or walker would the same fury be levelled? My last point is that a player running at speed with the ball is going to get clouted, no doubt about that, the player knows this but his mind would have to work faster than fast in a nano second to say he has done it purposely, IF he had got through those challenges he would have scored or he would have passed for somebody else to score. All conjecture but time to put it to bed I think

Chuky..it is the way the “modern” game has developed I am afraid. It is not just penalties either, winning free kicks for marginal fouls within shooting distance of goal is very evident now. I would go as far as to say some would call it a ligitimate tactic. If we accept one, which we have already done way back, then you accept it as a “norm”. sad really but hope we see some decent football in between such events. Cheers

Steve…Saka is still very young, agree he did a few good moments but need to look for the ball more, which will come in time. The collective performance is importance at this level. Just not involved enough for me but again he is one for the future and I will look forward to him blossoming. The difference was when Grealish/Foden came on, both active in both directions

Sean…yes you are right Iwould not have likeD THAT Penalty given against us but that is not to say it a wrong decision, stopping a flying winger these days invites such contact. I think Denmark concentrated on being too physical when there FOOTBALL COULD HAVE BEEN PLAYED, THEY ARE A GOOD SIDE WHEN THEY DO THAT, NO NEED TO TRY AND OUT DO US PHYSICALLY.

Good all round performance but thought the occasion got to Pickford, distribution awful and Saka, the inexperience showed, if picked he will be up against Chellini who will shut him out. Would have liked to have seen Foden or Sancho in wide right, more experience relatively speaking. Thought Maguire , Sterling and Walker outstanding. Mr Mancini will have noted that. Good tactical switch by Southgate late on.

I enjoyed the game last night and came to the conclusion Italy would be the better team to play, IF we get through to night. Although the Italians have this very tight defence, the pundits tell us that, and they do have a god track record, however, if Spain had a decent striker on they could have scored 3/4. They did get round the back defensive wall as well. Apart from the well taken goal they did not offer that much up front, a lot of fizz but no pop. Just a viewer opinion though

Brian Kidd has departed, a really good servant for City over last 12 years and has seen all the changes at the club. At 72 yr he has earned his rest but I am sure he will be still at City games. I have a feeling though City will find him something to do even watching out for local talent.

Nike… I have got into the habit of turning the sound down now so I no long listen to the clap trap. The other thing that annoys me is when they start drawing lines on replays , saying something like, “they should have passed this way, orthe defensive line up/attack is not right and proceed to draw lines where they think it should be. I wonder, in there playing days did they ever do things perfectly and why try and make a science out of an art form? The reality is there is not a lot of comment to make on something that has happened, you cannot re write it. I think the ladies will do fine as pundits because they are not “Johnny know alls”. I listen a lot to GMR for City games and they are very much to the point, unlike Radio 5 who are died blue and bias, there are 22 players on the pitch and I want commentary on the game not all City
