Nine…I think it is on the lines of American football, where you have about 6 teams guaranteed to keep there place….others are based on crowd capacity potential and other aspects…I did not read it all, had seen enough but apparently it is being discussed.
More like Financial modelling to me…where has the game of football gone? maybe somebody can explain better than me

Lucky..what we know from this forums conversations is the fans do not want it or it to be politically or financially exploited but we are all powerless to do anything about it but register our views. This MAY, or may not make them think of future events although I doubt it. Like you I am cynical about the whole organisation of football and I fear what they are proposing for British football at the moment. There is absolutely nothing wrong with our structure, OK, it could do with better management at times but it has stood the test of time better than most sports. We have now to contend with GREED

Well, you are right Lucky….TV companies and the BBC (British Bias Corporation) all try an influence us that they have agendas which are right even if everybody disagrees with them apart from the Commercial Companies…I am fed up with the lot of them I still have my own mind. (just about!!)

I cannot think of any one I know who is in favour of this wretched WC. That said most football fans will forget about it, then jump on the bandwagon again when it is over. The loss is to our Domestic game is bigger as I suspect others as well
As to Gary Neville…have nothing against him or his politics but I categorise him with ALL politicians. They all say one thing and do another when their time comes, then adept to passing on blame.Another form of showboating to me. When I hear them speak about “families”. and “struggles” from their well heeled jobs they can afford to be generous in their views and lets put Union bosses in as well with Gold plated pensions.When will they ever ALL put the country first and work together for the common good of putting the country on its feet. At the moment it is all doom and gloom with the £ falling…but what about our export business?They should be thriving at this time…..that is if we had anything we make still has a market!!!!!!

Nine..that is the problem though…the “fitting in ” bit. I am more cynical than you as well, I do not think a lot of players care that much, more like a break in routine and doing something different from club football. The big risk to these jaunts is an injury risk to players when there is no need, the Club always looses out and they pay the wages along with the fans.. We will have to respectfully disagree on this but I do agree, unfortunately, they are not going to go away.

Chuky…like I said before the game…England will huff and puff and the Italians will do what they do.
Southgate did not have the foresight to understand the Italians would not let us play our slow negative game plan. We have talented players but time after time we cannot put a team together to win a trophy, maybe we should get the women to help us!!!
Nine…I fell out of love with International football because there is too much seriously bad management, not withstanding alleged corrupt dealings, fan behaviour, interference with Domestic fixtures and I would ban the lot of them for two years until they find a better way of planning and organising them…….sack the “suits” for this period without pay as well!!!! never happen of course they are all too deeply entrenched

I thought Pickford was out of action for some time but pundits keep saying he will be in goal….must have missed something. Phillips is definitely out. Whoever is picked needs to do well in this daft game

I do hope that is the case Nine but he does need to tell his agent he does not want a repeat of the “birthday cake” Yaya episode I am aware the Media will export and try and de-stabalise any opportunity that is before them. His future is entirely up to him, he is with a great club and players and Pep as a Manager, play well…no problem. but be aware…nobody is guaranteed anything at City

The talk is about Grealish wanting a new club!!!! This is the Yaya story all over again, agent speak and the player not doing enough to put out what he really really wants. That said, you do not hold City to ransom like this or you will be an all time looser. If he went to morrow we have at least two players who could fill his role, young Palmer and Alvarez and that is why he is not playing regular. He is a good player but not a great one. City of course whichever way you look at it will loose a lot of money but a lesson learned.Nobody gets everything right in transfers
This may also be media hype again and the he is perfectly happy and prepared to work hard and fit with City’s style of play. My personal view is I never saw him as a City player but would be happy to be proved wrong

I had mail from China, a translator I used on my trips there, she was full of emotion and I knew it was heartfelt. Incredible, people from other countries feel this way as well. Nike…I am all for tradition. Abide with me, Brass bands etc. we have lost so much, all in the name of progress…they say!!
I hope King Charles keeps out of politics , like his mum.

Think I was being a bit over critical about KDB on looking at the match rather than listening where the tendency is to be influenced by the Commentator. KDB had a few misplaced passes but so did most of the others. I should be satisfied with overall performance and look before adding comment. My apologies KDB!!!

Very little wrong with the performance to day, not KDB day for his passing class but other than that kept things moving. Spirited effort from Wolves in second half with 10 men and they may have found themselves a new CB. Stiffer competition to come from now and we need to get control of the game better which we have not done so far this season against a top half team but maybe the better the opponent will bring more out of us, we are still a margin off our best though but if we keep consistency level high I may review my forecast from third to second!!!!!

Nike..re outside of the boot pass. i.e. Cancello’s pass to Haaland, he does this on a regular basis, as does KDB, who probably does it more. Very skilful piece of play
