Nine…for that announcement to have been made
1. It will have been done with City’s blessing
2. The new Manager already known, no need to speculate, City will have chosen already
Agree, pep has a big DNA at the club but others can continue in there own way, I doubt we will asking Mourinho, others of that “ilk” but job has been done but not dusted, you never know Pep may sign another extension!!!!_____________________________

The salary would never make sense but if we get him for no more than say 5 million then the outlay maybe worth the risk, plus very tight contractual conditions. I do not think it would upset other players, they are all part of the same scenario, all well paid and well looked after. If players want to leave they can subject to the fee As to Ronaldo joining, another risk too far for me We will not find a 25/30 goal striker now but I would be happy enough to let this window close, lets not forget, we have signed Grealish and Foden will be back soon

So would I Cityboy, not bothered about the CL draw, play what is front of you and give your best effort. Mendy has played his last game for City. He has lost any respect that may have been held for him, fans will want him out, fast now.

Mak, Liverpool are more than capable. If you want to win the prize then you must beat any of the teams, no matter what stage.

I do not see what the “fuss” is about. It was always so that he would be leaving,Others will leave also, not just about players and player management, we may see new owners in 3/4 years, the signs are there now. Myself, I would thank Pep for the football he has given us, changed the game in the UK that’s for sure, I hope he achieves what he wants for the final two years. He will go to where is talent can be understood or moulded. He is no rush to do anything , no pressure, nice position to be in. Gets more time on the golf course as well with Tommy Fleetwood.

Ronaldo news is just as depressing as the Kane mutiny !!!! Ok for a season, maybe, but to me this is an over reaction by City not getting business done earlier and for younger players. I know Ronaldo is still fit for his age and can conjure up some magic but I fear it will not be enough on a consistent level and also feel he will not appear that many times. However, as a short term fix that is about as much as we can expect now.

Lucky, I think this is where Mr Levy has shot himself in the foot, The price only goes one way now and that is down and still has a player who does not want to be there. I am sure Kane will try but it will never be the same now, what do you think? New stadium/facilities and Manager should help

Nine…yes, but still young!!!! Yes…we will still go for a striker, maybe a short term buy though, I wish we had gone for INGs, cost less and a proven player in that position, too late now. Bamford would be worth a look at but think we have left it too late for him. I doubt there is anybody fits the requirement at the moment, so it will be January or next summer

Lucky..have already stated Kane is a really good CF, probably one of the best in the EPL but I just did not think he would fit that well with City, Pep does, so I am not going to argue with that. Then there is the injury risk/age relative to the costs….now that is a high risk and that is why I am pleased he stays at Spurs. Of course injuries happen to any age but the older you get the more troublesome they become.

Steve…we have started. Palmer was introduced on Saturday, Delap will certainly get game time…Foden still a youngster, same for Torres , I am fairly sure that two more will join them soon

Steve…a question for you….is the arsenal bu/sell decision Artetas or the Board? Just curious. I would have thought Arteta would have been a good job of a player but maybe not his value

Lucky/Chuky. not me pals….I am delighted he is not coming to City, said that from day1 and I know a lot of City fans will support that. We will play with our youngsters this season

Cityboy….yes, we do not want Ronaldo as well, even older than Kane and doubt he is up for EPL now, as good as he is (was)? I still prefer a young aggressive striker if we have to have one but to be honest I am OK with what we have apart from a few I would like to put up for Sale.

Adlab, Iβd say City are the last club to be claiming βone rule for some, one rule for othersβ after the FFP breaches theyβve got away with over the years while others try to stay within the rules.
A bit naive Ed….All clubs try and get around the rules not stay with them, by staying within the rules they have just not found a way around them
That is the way business works

Ed..that is perfectly sensible way of looking at leveraged buys and debt. You need a clarity on pay back, but in business terms it never happens, clarity”.. City or the City Group, are taking on debt for the first time to finance a new stadium in New York, I am fairly sure that will have a clear pay back period.
What the Galziers are doing is normal for US business, also, look at the “raiders” on the UK market at the moment, anything from Supermarkets to Aerospace and defence business. I have worked for two major US Companies, one may be described as “the old lady” of American business the other a typical “wheeler-dealer” there are differences in the American world, we just appear to be getting the latter recently. What they are doing with Utd is alien to fans but fans are not in the equation, brands are. It is not right but who or what can change it? I do not know the answer to that_____________________________

Nine, I think this is where Levy has lost out, he still has a player who wants to leave and he has passed up an inflated figure. OK, his decision, doubt if Kanes advisors can do anything about it either. I am just happy he is not coming to City, a risk too far for me and he guarantees nothing but with the midfield players we have they can all contribute well during the season. I would still prefer a younger up and coming player, maybe, just maybe Delap will fit that role but I also think it is a little early for him to impact on the EPL, so, we go with what we have got. However, the big saga is over…what has the media lined up next I wonder

Agree City Blue but we do not have to be concerned about that anymore.
