Ed…just listen carefully to Peps words in response…a whipped up story, The way the words came out and what he was trying to convey, two different things, I am sure he will brush it aside and so will the City fans if they have any sense, I am still amazed where people get there money from for two matches plus travel per week, I have missed my way somewhere along the line

Sean…I stopped going to European games because the Eurocrats took my seat and they wanted to move me somewhere I did not want to go and pay more money. Like all teams, we have to give seats to European ViPs and entourage….hence my lack of support for Euro games and played mid week in the evenings. They should abolish the International friendlies and play them at week end. Why do they want them anyway, we do not have friendlies before more important EPL games!! Sorry Sean…just me having a moan again because I cannot get to the match!!

Sean, that is true but in some ways it makes it more difficult to understand because City’s are a long way off being the dearest on a seat position basis. However, I think this one game has been over dramatised, after all, it was not a bad turn out either. we do fill other grounds though. The absence of 6K away supporters made a difference also, that is where most of the empty seats were. No logical answer to this Sean other than….”it happens” and will continue to do so, City will not be the only one in this issue

As to Peps comments, I think it was poorly misplaced but I also think he had a genuine wish for fans to turn up as well. There are mitigating circumstances for this but no excuses. It is difficult to understand any fans fickle mentality after all City play very attractive football every game they go into, you cannot win them all but on the flip side, I like many City fans of the past endured years of dire football, yet we still turned up, I believe it can be repeated with other teams. It was not that long ago when even OT had large empty spaces, more noticeable with a large capacity stadium. This is nothing about the club but the way fans re-act to events. If it is football related, if you are a true fan, it is questionable. If it is in any other way related. Affordability, Covid, family. it is justifiable

I have said it before, I know but the fans more than anything else will ruin football, call it minority if you want but the fact is it is happening at all after all the talk is of concern. Lock them up on an island and throw away the key after they have cleared up the mess they leave

I was wrong. Stones/Laporte NOT on bench, Watched the match to night, I must have misheard when I listened to GMR commentary last night. I still think he will be back sooner rather than later but have a feeling he will go for Dias/Laporte against PSG

Think Stones was on the bench with Laporte My guess is he will play against Southampton or Wycombe a few days later, Needs some game time because some tough fixtures coming up. PSG, Chelsea and Liverpool. all away

Sean, appreciate that my friend, it was directed at Pep as much as others because there are other factors involved which he did not think of. City have had a good average over the last 10 years or so, to isolate this game was a media hype as well, which I doubt will get any better or much worse but events will happen as they will at other grounds that will reduce attendance. City still hold the record for largest attendance though but do not tell health and safety!!!!! RM and Barcelona not filling grounds yet. I just wanted to make the point that because City attendance figures are slightly down it does not mean other clubs will have the same experience at some point. I will look at end of season averages and see where we are, we will not be far of 100% capacity although my guess would be 88%. Not too bad.

City fans are strange at times, yes, I agree football is expensive now and most family men should not be able to afford two games a week. family first. Utd, Liverpool always have bigger crowds , that is fact, City have a strong core of fans though and we are approx 8K from lifting that up to regular capacity. There is support within the city to do this because we have done it before but for whatever reason it does not happening at the moment and that is why we will not build the third tier for some time now on the Ashton end.
What I do find unacceptable is other fans picking it up as a negative. As football goes Old Trafford will not always be full or will Anfield and others of course. A drop in 8K or thereabouts will hurt other teams as much as City and it will happen. I have always believed City’s true fan base is 48K_____________________________

It is true that Ake does not make the team a lot, to get him to “next level” he needs more game time. He is not a bad player, as long as Pep keeps him in squad he must think he is good enough and that is good enough for me.

Cracking game, it had everything. Red card, own goal, hat trick great goals and KDB back, Foden also late on. Did not like giving them three goals at home though but they were well taken and credit Leipzig for trying to stay in the game.

City ladies unlucky, “hand of God” incident beat them but to be honest they should have won the game long before that. They will recover because they are good enough and when they get some players back. No pre season for them as well.

I was a keen cricketer for many years playing in local leagues. I was Left handed with bat and ball. Could bat right handed but no good at right hand bowling. Tennis/table tennis. either hand was comfortable. Football. Left only.

13th September 2021 at 3:12 pm in reply to: Ryder Cup 2021 24 th September – 26th September Whistling Straits Wisonsin USA #184997Nine, the main reason I was rubbish is because I played right and left handed. My game off the tee was, eventually, better right handed, my short game better left handed. for a time I carried a split set of clubs around.. I still cannot make up my mind if I am right or left, however, since I no longer play it does not matter but if I was to walk up to a tee now, would probably take a left hand stance. I was a decent left handed putter though….it was just a matter how long it took me to get to the green!!!! Loved my golf, sad I can no longer play.
Chuky….sometimes the golf surroundings are so beautiful that you forget about playing, breathtaking views, sometimes a half way house where you can stop and have a drink of something…what is better than that, certainly beats any football ground refreshments, although I guess at Spurs, you have gone up market now and it is supplied by Harrods or Fortmun and Mason. Ha.

13th September 2021 at 3:00 pm in reply to: Ryder Cup 2021 24 th September – 26th September Whistling Straits Wisonsin USA #184996I am a Ryder Cup fan as well. Agree, Rose should have been in the team, Rose is a very good matchplay golfer and his experience will be missed. I think it will be close match though.
PS. I was a rubbish golfer, very enthusiastic but rubbish. BUT. I could play matchplay reasonably well

Then again…all top 4 can loose and that would open up the table a little
That would be interesting . I know , it is unlikely but at the same time I think at least one will drop points. What should happen and what will happen we will have to wait for. I know City will have to get ahead early against Southampton who are more than capable of putting up a wall, I am just hoping KDB will be back_____________________________
