All the youngsters did us proud to night, a full Academy defence and young Palmer scoring his first City goal after he subbed Torres. No surprise to me since I have been following them but I see McAtee making the team at some point, reminds me very much of Foden who was MotM to night

If you listen to the words and the explanation it is self evident. Some City fans, surprisingly have jumped on a bandwagon too soon and without understanding what was said. I thought it was perfectly understandable…he has asked for fans to show up for Wycombe as well…we will be lucky to get 10K though and maybe more Wycombe fans!!!! The point has not been missed by Pep…just listen to the explanation

I do not know about resting players, we need to build a rhythm again. I think he will play between 2/4 Academy players at some point though. I also remember Wicombe beating is at Maine Rd!!!!! Stones/Laporte have to be got ready, the next three fixtures , all away Chelsea, PSG and Liverpool are probably the hardest trio to play on the bounce. If we get through this I will be more than happy.

Lucky, that is it, comments on issues like that , but a lot of games to go. As far as I am aware Pep has publicly said also that, IF asked, he may stay on longer providing club and players respond to him staying Pep did not pick a fight with fans but stated he would like more fans at next game for team support….from that point, people twisted it how they wanted. Even Lineker put his pennyworth in instead of talking about an entertaining match with Southampton referred to Peps “problem” He needs to concentrate on the match he is reviewing. I have no doubt the “Sundays” will pick up the story. It is not about opinion but how to magnify a non event. Opinion is always a welcome factor based on fact

Ed, like you, I did not think we needed Grealish but I am OK now we have him. If it was a choice between Grealish and Kane. I would have definitely picked Grealish…he fits our style of play more. I still think we need a quality back up for KDB and Fernandinho. Foden will replace Gungdogan in due course

Mak…they will probably both go, much depends on how well/or not the seasons for both teams but I am sure there is a finality in there thinking.
I think both will take a break, we have a over critical TV jury and media hounding there every move. Both are excellent managers, best we have in the EPL and when they go we will miss them because they have brought new life to the EPL. Mistakes, of course they have made mistakes but my guess is the very people who raise negative comments make a lot more in there professions….so where is the perfect manager…..they are careful not to name one because they do not exist

I guess we are entering a new phase of something amiss ay City. Two events have happened
1. Peps statement was maybe misplaced but more misunderstood
2. A draw for us to day was all we deserved. We did not perform to day as well as we could but that happens.

I do not know how conclusions can be made, City made a worse start last season but we did not do badly.

Yes, some players want to leave and some have been told they can go…so…what’s new? What is different to any other club?

For me , it is over hyped and just an effort to drag a non story on.

Striker? I think we need another commanding midfielder first. KDB needs to be managed now, Gungdoghan is getting tired and Fernandinho is 34/6? Scoring goals , apart from to day and the first game will not be a problem
I see a need for one after we have addressed other positions

Our attendance down again to day. 53/4K…I am now in despair !!!!!!
I expect 10K on Tuesday if the weather is fine!!!!

We need to lighten up on these issues when we do not know the full story or facts

Cityboy. as you know , I am not a Sterling fan when it comes to finishing so I would agree. Just too wasteful to day and nobody organising the passing, not even Fernandinho which is unusual. We move on and have to accept two points dropped at home.

The game went just as I thought, a draw was a fair result in the end. We were just not at the races to day, the effort there but the quality was missing. KDB and Foden improved things and injected some desire but too little too late. I hope Pep does not fill the team with youngsters on Tuesday, I would not underestimate Wycombe who will have a go unless we get on top from the start/. Few attempts on goal to day also means we lacked midfield control and passing quality. Grealish had a good game though

Pagan..that is it…almost a vanity situation. These owners must have done due diligence before they bought in but my guess they had more motives than a football club. It will happen to more clubs, running at losses is no longer sustainable in our”new” world. Somebody will pick up the pieces for a song eventually and will not be football related

Southampton…not really looking forward to this as much…they have a habit of unsettling us. Depends on the CB pairing to day and get Walker back in. I am not sure about LB, nether Cancelo of Zinchenko can defend I would be tempted to use Ake but I guess we will know soon enough.

Nine, I hope you are feeling better, I know how you must be feeling because my neighbour is going through exactly the same as you and appears in same time frame, we are doing what we can to support him because he lost his wife earlier in the year as well. It makes my problems insignificant when I know what you have to go through so I am rooting for you as well.
