Mikus….I think Gerrard to a good Championship club would be good for him also, His learning curve has started but it cannot develop in Scottish football, Championship is a step up or even League1. If it was me I would certainly be looking now, see this season out if he has to but next year he needs to get in the fight here

Mikus..not a bad idea but I would schedule it at the end of Domestic seasons only. PLUS, my biggest moan…injured players…..I think FiFA/UEFA should pay for any injuries or loss of service to the club…that may make them think a little more carefully…but then again…we are talking “suits” again…they just do not want anything to upset the gravy train

Nine…that is my problem….too many games before you get to the final. I know there is little that can be done to change it but the rate it is going it will be domestic football playing second fiddle to Internationals and friendlies and that cannot be right

The real danger is getting club players injured. I know nothing will be changed by the “suits” but from a fan point of view it is all a waste of space and to me Nine…one game, the final, is not worth the risk of loosing domestic competitions. Just my view of course

Nothing should interrupt an EPL season in my opinion, unless it is a winter break. I just do not like Internationals anymore, too many , too frequent.
I do not “buy” players want to put on there countries shirt as well, just another payday and possible trinket and collecting “appearances” another useless statistic. OK. I am on grumpy Monday pills to day!!_____________________________

I think they may go with a low cost striker January and go for an established one in the summer….. Nine I think we need one but are managing without one as well, the operative word being….managing.

Nine….I am not sure who I would want at this moment. Kane/NO. Mpbappe/ NO
Haarland/?? Delap/a season away is the nearest City have in house although McAteer looks promising. I have a feeling Pep will go with what he has to ensure they all get game time_____________________________

Utd missed the chance of Conte, who I think would have gone to Utd instead of Spurs but my guess is, he thought, they are not going to sack Ole, so I will opt for Spurs. I still doubt they sack Ole but if nothing is done I cannot see this Utd getting better. Being a Mancunian, I hope they do, but think the EPL challenge is looking a little grim at the moment

A good City team performance, disappointed we did not score more, but pleased the way they managed the game

Sean, no fault of the player but at Villa he was the team, at City he is amongst some very good players in a squad make up. That is why he needs to uplift his game to this level and I am sure he will do it. Reminds me of an ex City player, Roy Clarke, a left winger who could dribble and score goals

I hope Howe does well, he is in a very difficult situation from day 1, so he is inheriting a “mess”. I think he is capable but like everything else in football, no matter what club, it depends on the support he receives. However, he does know what he is walking into and I am sure is confident of his own abilities. A young British manager, I hope he survives

Sean..he is still finding his way in what must be a complete change of playing. He has not been bad in any match but we know he has to lift himself a little more and be the game changer Pep thinks he is. I would like to see him shoot more at goal because he gets into good positions then decides to pass for somebody else to have a go. I think he will be OK later, he is a good footballer, that is not in doubt

Decent performance from City without hitting there best, need to be better for Saturday. Stones very unlucky with the o.g. Cancello I find frustrating, he was brilliant to night, just has these odd lapses of concentration at times, as does Laporte but it will be Stones/Dias combination again for Saturday Please Sterling got a goal and hope it helps him in future.

Rover..we could also pay for a striker who does not score enough goals!!! No doubt we need somebody fresh up front but for all the comments about City not having a striker, we have not been doing that badly. The only thing that interest me is how many points we have at the end of the season, what happens to other teams is there concern, I am not sure we will win EPL this year but we will not be far off

1st November 2021 at 3:43 pm in reply to: Gameweek 10: You’re getting fired in the morning…. #187971Just shows how sad football is now from Board level down the pyramid. Paid for failure at all levels as well

31st October 2021 at 8:06 pm in reply to: Gameweek 10: You’re getting fired in the morning…. #187868Chuky….I think the problem was there before Nuno took over, something weird going on at Spurs. Spurs unlikely to get anything from this season so why not let Nuno be given time and if some players do not like him, ship them out and replace them.At the end of the season see what he has built or otherwise. They must know what the internal problem is. It appears to me the Board just want a team in the league in there wonderful facility but have not the interest to have a squad of players. If the Board have no interest it is likely the players will adopt same attitude. Just a thought. It could happen to a number of teams, Spurs are not unique in this. last week it was Utd

31st October 2021 at 9:23 am in reply to: Gameweek 10: You’re getting fired in the morning…. #187796Sean…..I do have a moan Sean,,,a bit more frequent recently…must be old age making me grumpy when I try and equate not important things with reality.
Just look at some of our guys on the forum who are or are struggling, I feel for them and count myself lucky. I enjoy my football Sean but not a lot of the stuff that goes with it, I put it down to a new breed of fans who just want to win everything in sight every day of the week. I see two teams on the pitch, one I love the other I appreciate what they bring Impossible to bring back the past. Some really good posters on the Forum which I enjoy reading and I think a well balanced view on the game withthere respective teams_____________________________

Mikus…City have a similar problem….we are managing Fernandiho’s time on the pitch, a great reader of the game but similar age to Milner. Both hard to replace.

30th October 2021 at 9:30 pm in reply to: Gameweek 10: You’re getting fired in the morning…. #187772With all that is going on in the world to day, football should be giving us some pleasure but even that is in short supply and like everything else increasing in costs. Players will move, no matter who, managers will move, no matter who and clubs will change ownership…whats new? All that interest me is to watch an entertaining football match, you win some, you loose some. I still sleep OK at night.

30th October 2021 at 5:01 pm in reply to: Gameweek 10: You’re getting fired in the morning…. #187653Lucky….like I said…if we do not play our best , we loose. Started too slow, a very poor first half performance, played better with 10 men though. no need to panic though, although, we do need the up front players start scoring. On to the next game. Well done Palace, your game plan worked
