The media got the headlines they wanted, they are not interested in clubs, fans or the match itself…just headlines. It was pre hyped and sensationalised after as expected. What they could and should have done was to take a responsibility in trying to find a solution to such mindless occasions. Nothing will come from a Police investigation it needs deeper understanding and action to fit the deed

Sean…we are not a bad team as some would say after the loss!!!!!! One loss and they are all over us how we should have done this/that, experts at hindsight of corse. Ed…to answer your question…it is the culture we live in to day, it sells TV coverage, media print or it is not worth bothering about as far as some subjects go, sport being one of them and football top of the list. They have a lot to answer for but ultimately it is down to the fans themselves Minorities rule in our world to day and our Laws getting eroded by the day to accommodate them

Mikus, I have said it before…Fans will ruin the game, wherever they come from…no respect for the game or the way it should played. You can have passion without being mindless and that is the culture creeping back in. There is also no point in the old cliche…”it is only a minority”. how many times do we heare that rolled out?

Nil/Sean/Mikus. what did I tell you, Liverpool well up for this game, I knew it and we could not find a way through and City are beatable
I missed most of game because I was at the City Ladies game but what little I heard sounded like lots of action but quality not as high as should be

If we had a fault it was because we never changed our style or players, then, what do I know? I am sure all players will feel they have been in a dame to day

Chuky…it is me saying they do not need them NOT City. I have no doubt they will go for a full back and if Philips cannot get fit another midfielder, the lad has never started for us yet and his injury is probably worse than feared. I also think there is a real danger we will loose Bernado and Laporte so some planning is necessary, we should get a “bob or two” for them as well.I do have confidence in the youngsters though from what I have seen

Chuky…the one thing I do not do, is make excuses for injuries, we have them like any other team and if we loose at Anfield I will not blame injuries and Liverpool would have been better team to win. Little difference between Haaland F c and Kane F.c…except I would have rather had Son at City than Kane. All a lot of nonsense. We also do not need any players because some good youngsters coming through now, hopefully young Gomez will learn from his Red card last week

Nil….City have problems also at the back. No Walker,Stones, Gomez, Philips still out, Laporte only 90 minutes league time since injury. Has Salah found form??? The player I think that could damage us is Firminho I would like to see us play 2 up front not three but Pep will go with three. Whoever controls midfield the likely winner in my opinion but shooting boots on also

I have a solution…maybe ….

All Premier clubs kick off at same time….11.00am Saturday morning…..this also saves floodlights being used and energy saving. It also leaves rest of day to do what you want. However, I guess this is all about TV and armchair fans and TV will get there way

I think I am very lucky ….to have seen and watched football in its basic format with thousands of other fans, then money took over and now they say it is progress….that is only true if you do not know the difference!!!!! 3.00 K.O, camaraderie’s with other fans, no betting /gambling/airline/Computer companies name on shirts etc. However, I do accept we have better grounds and facilities
I also think Sundays should be free from football or any sport, there has to be time for “family time” In this frantic world we all need a little space for friendship within families, have a chat/meal together (phones barred)

That is true Lucky, media trying to whip up a headline. Haaland will make up his mind in due course but the media will keep digging at this story now. After all the problems RM have had I wonder how they can raise that kind of money but they will find a way….eventually. The lad has settled very well in Manchester, he has a good club with good management and players around him `I am sure he will be smart enough to know that. I guess in football to day though, nothing is ever certain

Nil, you maybe struggling but these things happen in football, nothing is constant. It will happen to City sooner or later. It happened to Liverpool before, Utd, Arsenal etc. In the intervening years football management has become better, planning succession for players and management is now a must. It will not work from day 1 but if the right building blocks are in place, the better the chance of getting through these phases. I just think that Liverpool will improve they are not as bad as some would think. I have no doubt we will see the real Liverpool on Sunday, Pep already thinks it is the hardest game of the season at Anfield

Ed…City’s system of playing and the players around him he should be really happy , I suspect he is but 700 goals is a long, long way off and he does need to keep injury free for most of the time. I am sure Pep will manage his time and I would be surprised to see him start to morrow, Alvarez is a perfectly good replacement

Sean…we are not far off the same problem, defensively, not having the same back 4 all season but fortunately scoring goals that is getting us through, Stones and Walker definitely out, Laporte played first game last week but the lad from Dortmund at CB is doing well.Ake will be patched up and sent out I think I think it should be a good game with vulnerabilities on both sides. You have a good record against us and you have Anfield. Really looking forward to it, unfortunately I will not see/hear most of it because I am taking two of my Granddaughters to watch City Ladies against Leicester and it kicks off just before the Anfield game.Firminho is the player I always fear playing City
