I am concerned at our defensive situation though, Pep has just announced that Walker, Stones and Dias are out for the season now. Academy lads will be brought in somewhere, Ake is still not 100% so doubt he will get through 3 matches. The choice then is Fernandinho at CB with Laporte. No excuses though, it is what it is and you have to get through some way

Mikus…the thought of Pogbo in a City shirt gives me nightmares…why would we do that???? If we got him for free and payed a modest salary I would still question it
Haarland….I am not as sure as you Mikus, I think he would fit Liverpool better
I am not even sure who will win Pl, we have a mathematical advantage at the moment, the mid week games could change all that again, looks like Gerrard may have a big say in this, since we are both playing Villa in the next week or so, I would have preferred to be at home though._____________________________

Ed…if that is your type of football enjoyment…OK. For me, I like honest football, no cheating, no diving and when game is over everyone thankful of the contest, it is the way to teach the youngsters and next generation. The level we are at now is a danger of slipping back to the really bad days and I do not want to see that again. As to Klopp and Pep not to, why should they not get on well together…no logic not to do and I am sure they do in private. City fans have more experience to defeats than Liverpool or Utd so I think most are more mentally tunes…then again , you could say we are mental as well!!!!

Foxy..anybody with a decent striker score more than City players on a one to one basis….I am happy to keep doing what we are doing, It does appear Haarland is coming, now according to all the experts he will score a bagful…well…we will have to see about that in due course, personally, I do not believe he will, of course he will score but I am not sure how many and in the tough PL how fit he is to play most games. Great story for the experts to build up and pull down again though

Adlab..tongue in cheek comment again!!!! However, look at the teams with fabulous strikers, one two or even three of them and yet we have scored more and that is just not this season. makes you wonder. I think if Pep could find a young Fernandinho he would rather have him

ED…there is only one place that is the problem and that is the Top management, Rangnick was never the answer and most were surprised by his lack of experience at this level came as no surprise, however, in saying that, who was advising Utes supremo’s? Guess they did it themselves…there lies the problem. No matter who you get and I think top managers will shy away from the job if it does not change. They will just add another “FAIL” to the growing list. The club/fans deserves better

Adlab…no team is worth affecting your health, take a breath, it is what is is, always to morrow. I have been waiting many years for City success and the last 10 years have given me a lot of pleasure, bound to be a few set backs

Nike..good post. It is the media wanting to fulfil a story that does not exist, it happens to many clubs and they look for the any event that will trigger this. The point I try to figure out is …what makes them so expert? They give personal opinions just like all of us but they expect all to swallow there reasoning..it is a one way system I wonder if some actually go to a match. As to the.” experts” imagine you and I sitting at a table talking football and getting there salaries, why do we need them? Why do owe need so many?
As to Pep and Jurgen…here we are with the world best two, creating wonderful football teams which are good to watch week in. week out. neither are perfect but they are nearly as anyone else will get this era Both will make mistakes, both will serve up different styles are what fans want from a team. I have had my Friday moan now, Hope you win to morrow and we win on Sunday. no doubt some good chip paper will be made!!! Pelligini was a good Manager, Mancini was a good manager but not in Peps class_____________________________

Sean…does that not illustrate the point…it is not the money that wins and should have can be replaced by. “next time”. What happens on the pitch is what matters from 11 players no matter what the costs is. When anyone talks of the costs it relative to others who are also spending almost as much and what about the costs paid by say the top 6 against the bottom 6. that is a huge gap. is that unfair also. Sean, I am not saying that City do have an advantage but if it was not City..who would be next to have an advantage. Equality in ownership and financial management is the biggest issue, however I do not prescribe that money wins everything. I appreciate the point you are making but there are many other factors in getting a result as well. Cheers my friend. Liverpool for CL

Mikus,,you maybe right but it is up to the players character that has the responsibility more than the Manager. I think Dias will get there next season but 1/2 more are needed
The rest are quiet and just get on with the job I think_____________________________

Guys, the result is what it is. I thought Pep put out a good team, that should have won but should have does not win games. The players will be disappointed as will everyone else at City, nobody goes out to play bad or to loose a match…these things happen and City have had a few late come backs of there own. My own opinion is that Dias and Walker have come back too soon but with Stones out injures and Ake not fully fit I do not think Pep had an option. This is not an excuse though. What matters now is to quickly move on, too much to do, not cry over a CL defeat, if they are professional enough that is what they will do and go and win the remains matches I do not think Liverpool will play the same way as City and they will win because RM will not like the Liverpool style at all
