I do not like the idea of “last minute” checks on Mendy. If he is not fit and there is a doubt why risk him? It could make matters worse. I am sure Pep and his team will not take riskd though

Chelsea will be our toughest test this season in the league. Slow start, like Palace and we will be found out. Really good performance in the second half, Palace could not keep there concentration with the ball zipping about.The more I see of Bernando, the more I like him. Fernandiho is haveing a quiet spell, not like his dominent self in midfield, maybe because KDB and Silva doing so much plus the the full backs bu we do need him to take charge of the defensive midfield. Ederson had little to do but when he had to, he did it well. Augerro worked his socks off and deserved his goal. I also thought our two CBs did well

I just raised the question because we have been, me included, on him in the past but I think he is now in an enviroment where he can improve and save us some money at the same time. The big spending will end at some point. I just hope we can see him improve further, probably against Wolves unless VK has another roblem

I think what Pep will be wanting is to get the lead early on, build quickly on it then make substitutions. I would not underestimate Palace at any point, they have capable players to cause an upset under Mr Hodgson. What is important is 3 points, clean sheet and injury free game. I do not think the team should be focusing on the potential record goals for Kun as well….let him play his natural game…he will score them soon enough

Big Jim…Sterling really frustrates me, no doubting his work rate but he is not that good with his feet and decision makeing. I think Pep will improve that and we may end up with a player like Robbens, at the moment I do not know what role suits him best. I would like to see him improve because I think he is capable of doing that, he is no longer a new up and comeing youngster but a seasoned player. Defenders will not like playing against him. I just we could combine Sanes skill to Sterling graft

I think Silva already stated years back he would not go to Madrid. He is without doubt Mr Consistent and keeps our engine room ticking with KDB. It has amazed me that the media writers or PFA have not given him, along with Augerro recognition. Other players on the scene because they have a good season maybe two where they have consistently proven there credentials over 7/8 seasons, makes no sense to me.

Foden, like others are real prospects but they will have to be exceptional to get in this team now. Yes, he maybe lured away but the risks is higher for him, he needs a couple of years as a squad player and be amongst class players and keep on learning

Big Jim…I think he may use Sterling to replace Augerro to morrow. Foden, I think will be in the squad but priority has to be with Gungdoghan, Bernado and Yaya for that spot. He needs to rest KDB, Augerro Silva expect Bravo to be in goal. I think he will change the Full backs as well, Kompany may be back
I think he will take this opportunity to rest players, although he wants to win everything, the bigger picture tells me he focused on EPL and CL

When Pep arrived, I did not expect miricales to happen and went on record early in the season and state even if City did not win anything I would have still given the guy 3 seasons, Why, well we know he is a good coach, we know he will have to change the culture at the club, we know he will have to dismantle the existing squad, we know he will make mistakes, he already stated when he took over “I have come to learn” We are fortunate to have owners who are prepared to plan ahead, keeping in mind Pep was in there sights long before Pelligrino or Mancini, both the latter managers contributing well dureing there stay.This season we are moveing in a way he wants to ingrain in City’s style of play, yes we will loose some games but even last season, apart from a couple of games all our games were entertaining depite not haveing the right players in place. The future looks good, I feel at least a couple of Academy players will make there mark as squad players. I am happy at the way the club is run and managed.
I have not understood some of the team selections but now I am beginning to see the adoption of real squad rotation, with the amount of games now I can also sense the City players buying into the Rotation game and accepting it, because if they do not, they will be shipped out but at the moment all things appear well. We, City fans, have to keep pragmatic about the situation because football is an ever changeing game now and we will have set backs, how good you are will depend on how you handle that…..that goes for the fans as well.

Pogba is a good player but I think he needs another season in the EPL to establish himself. If he does not become frustrated I think he will shine in a couple of seasons from now. A lot of money to pay for that learning curve though but at this moment there are few class midfielders available anywhere. Thank goodness we have a few.

Teamtalk has gone downhill a little in my opinion so I am giving this Forum a try. Manchester City fan into my 73rd season. I am hopeing for unbiased and sensible comment. I think most fans will want that, we all have opinions and may not agree with everyone but hope it keeps sensible and polite
