30th October 2017 at 8:15 pm in reply to: Joey Barton horrible treatment towards David Unsworth #6838
Makes me laugh really, people wh critise managers/players who have never done the job themselves, good luck to Unsworth for giving it a try, I wonder if barton applied for the job and lost out!!!!!!

Hightown…Foden would not replace anyone at the moment, his time will come and he will be nutured by Pep. Let the hysteria dampen a little. He is without doubt a talent, I see him replacing Fernandinho in two years time, in the meantime he will get opportunities to be in the squad and get game time, not bad for a 17 yr old. You have to remember he was playing at 17 yr old level, which is a high standard but a long way off the rigours of Premier, however, he now trains daily with Silva, KDB Yaya and the rest so his education will continue

Jim, I would go with care with the lad, he is one for the future but is far from physicaldevelopment for Premier, give him a go from the bench when appropiate to give him encouragement, I reckon he will be an ideal replacement for Fernandino at some stage, By the way, whatever happend to Fernando?

Jim, he has dug a hole for himself and he will be remembered for that. If it is out of believes, why is he living and working here?

Personaly, the draw does not bother me, if you set out to win it it a game at a time and you have a team that is capable, then it really does not matter Home or away.. HOWEVER, if there is any sniff of anything untowards..it need closer scrutinity….TV wants attarctive draws…however they come and there is the problem that is also why they mess about with fixtures and KO times

Sloppy defending, they lost focus on the the job. I am sure Pep will pointed it out for next traing session, Napoli or Arsenal will not be so forgiving

newbalance…good post. maybe Southgat was actually watching these games and some maybe better than what he has now. Foden will certainly get his chance at City, Pep likes the lad and I think he will make further appearances in the squad this season despite his young age

28th October 2017 at 8:00 pm in reply to: Jason Cundy and Robbie Savage: One or the other? Both? Or Neither? #6797Live 5, for me, is very poor, have tried to listen to it a number of times but the standard is just not good enough. True, they do not”hold back” but what they say is predictable even for allowing “after the event” comments. Some of these guys want to try management before they give such strong opinions

I missed the match altogether, GMR link did not link and commentary on City site. Awful,,switched off..Live 5 I think. However, well done Bravo, you certainly won this one for us. I am not too despondent, Wolves played well from all accounts but we managed to show enough character to win. WBA is the next important game and they will be well prepared for us.Awin here would be great since Utd are playing Spurs which could go either way so will probably end up as a draw

As a fan of another team, Liverpool need to learn something from this game and not repeat it even it it means sacrificing some attacking capability, then confidence will come back. I am sure Klopp is aware of what is wrong but maybe he also needs to re think his tactical game

Well, for me, it is far too early to talk about titles, we have not even got to Christmas yet and the heaviest period for all teams. City are ahead now and I believe they will get better but that does not win the title, there are other teams out there capable. Of course, I would like them to win the title, we have a much younger team now but all these competitions and internationals will take there toll somewhere along the line, I just hope, if it happens to us again it will not be for players who do the same position. Pep would not agree with that, it would never surprise me now to see Ederson playing full back for real!!!!!!(he would make a good CB or CF !!!!!)

Very pleased with performance and result. Listening to the commentarry and no doubt reading it in the paper, we shall hear about City defence looked shaky again. No team is going to control a match whereby the opposition will not have a go, it does not mean the defence is bad. I thought we managed the game well…or I should say Pep did. Burnley did not have a shot direct on goal and had little possession, in the end the City passing just tired them out. They are a good team though and I expect them to finish well

I hope you are right Goat, I just fear heavy challenges and confrontations to disrupt our game PLUS the risk of injuries. Early goals would take the pressure off and Burnley having to change tactics because they will come with one game plan DISRUPT, cannot blame them, all in the game but we must rise above it. Ina way I see this game being one of the toughest the team will encounter until we get on top…EARLY please, clean sheet as well. I still see red cards

Watched the TV show Thursday with the two Burnley players From there comments they will try and rough us up….they need to remember we have a few who can also rough up, first they have to catch us. I think this game is heading for red cards

Goat…that is the reason I moved over…I like the fan mix, Editor comments and no antagonism. I just hope it continues that way as it grows and we have an Ed who will actively control it It can be done…as prooved so far

managers will always complain about something, any manager It is just the way they do it after being set up by the media…they should know better by now.
On the subject of parking the bus, I really do not mind it, I go to watch a good defence as much attack. Yes, it is not as attractive and personally I would not like to go a season with it but sometimes it is means to an end particularly if the manager does not have confidence he can win the game. I know Pep will never subscribe to this and now he is building a formidable squad has not the need to do so_____________________________

AS we all know the whole thing is corrupt, getting shut of Blatter only scratches the surface and little ot nothing the feeble FA can do about it.
If we had the moral decency we would eliminate ourselves now_____________________________

The thing that made me smile was this mornings media who described City defence as “Same old City” We have had one goal scored against us in this round and that was a penalty which prooves a point the media cannot wait for us to slip up to give them a headline
