I think we are in a fortunate position with Sanchez, assuming he wants to come to us, which may not be the case
There will be other options we could use as cover for a january buy that would probably fit better, however, Pep knows the player and what he is capable of so I would trust his judgement. One thing, he is not a sergio who has the remarkable consistency of scorening goals, Sanchez capable of scoreing, some spectacular ones as well but he is not a 20 goal plus a season player for City. If it happens, OK, will look forward to seeing what he can do in Blue with the current fluent City side but I would not be dissapointed if he went somewhere else

I am not even thinking of titles for any team let alone City, far too early. Bookies want your cash now though with tempting offers, save your money, buy some nice Christmas presents> Black friday will be with us soon….another massive “con”

It just shpws, we know we have come up the hard way and appreciate what we have now, unlike Wenger who thinks he has a divine right that everything must go his way. The man is a deluded fool and very disrespectful to manchester City Football Club with his ludicrous outporings

No, it will not change in the USA. What the UK have to be aware of it does not grow here as well, gun or knife….both are a growing menance in our society.

Of course it was predicable that Wenger would complain about something to cover his own bad decisions. Before the game started I said to my friend, he has a better bench than what he is starting with. Pays 50 million for a striker and puts him on bench, starts with a youngster. His game plan was pathetic. Penanly…absolutely not, I was right in line, the Arsenal player made no attempt to play the ball. The offside was marginal and being so tight how unprofessional the Arsenal defence were, play to the whistle lads no matter what you think. Wenger is so negative, looks for excuses first, he was out thought and he cannot admit the better team won

I will go for 2-1 because they will park bus, Walcott will score, he always does against us. Get on top early and stay there

The choice of Jones over Smalling though is baffling. I am ok with trying new younger faces but it is still early days yet for Russia selection

The Spanish “giants” have not kept pace with the change going on in football. Yes, they still have some buying power but the have ageing players presuambly good contracts and sway to restrict what they need to do. The British clubs to there credit have performed well, naturaly players and management will be sought. This will then become, as I think in Spurs case, a question how the Board see and value the future, everyone has a price. It will be sad if Spurs do loose some players or management because they have entertained, breaking that up will be hard to replicate. It would then be a question of buying sensible replacements. One thing we know…the game does not stand still….what many teams are seeing as being there squad this season. will not be the same squad next season

The EEC will make sure Madrid have enough funds. Cannot have teams from England doing so well in a EUROPEAN league!!!!!!!! Let us get out of it and form another league, we may invite one or two of them over!!!!!!!!

I am tempted to say both but I guess I prefer Premier, I am less enchanted about European or International football these days. However, we are in these competitions to win them so lets give it a go

Hightown…yes I am still a seasoncard holder into my 73rd season and yes I had a rattle. It was some sight then with all the rattles whirring away….and noise. Yes, always collar and tie plus hat, or I should say, flat cap. The rattle went out about 48/9 season I think, at least on a weekly basis

I am hopeing we can give a good performance to night and come away with a win. Midfield and Keeper hold the key but I am a little more confident with Bravo at the moment

If Pep can slip up, so can Jose, What happens on the pitch at the end of 90 minutes is all that matters not what happens at the bookies who just want your money

1944/5/6 attracted big gates at Maine Rd. Utd shareing ground because Roslers dad bombed OT !!!! I attended two games with over 82000…City v Glasgow Rangers…a friendly and Utd v Arsenal a league game. City generally average 45/50K in the 40’s I think. Wartime games had a large contingent of Service people, crowd behaviour was excellent, supporters mixed without any problems, indeed , I looked forward to standing next to one on the Kippax side. Getting in the ground was always slow so you needed to be early The atmosphere was always good, if you could look back on one of those games now it would be slow compared to to day but nevertheless good football because there was an abundance of Ball players who were worth the admission to watch

Went to City Ladies match at week end and took two of my Grandaughters who “borrowed” some of my “stock” They will never be seen again , no doubt

First game City v Everton season 1944, the war was still on City lost 2-1 0r 3-1 cannot remember which. A lot of guest players those days but Everton had some team. Frank Swift was in goal and he is the reason I support City I think Bert Sproston and Sam Barkas were the full backs. Jackie Bray and Maurice Dunkerley the only other players I remember. I think Everton had Mercer, Lawton Eglington and Boyes in there team. I remember enjoying the game despite the loss. I still have not seen a keeper better than Swift if you allow for the conditions and ball they played with. Swifty could kick the ball a mile but did not need to, his throws were bigger than most people could kick it, so the wingers were well fed and he set up attacks, so, nothing new to day and that was 73 yrs ago!!!!
